WOW! Great price for the auto service and repair; "better safe than sorry" as they say. Disc pads were worn close enough to the indicators to be replaced. I'm like you in a sense, that we like to stay on top of things as needed. "Don't put off for tomorrow what can be accomplished today". JJ is a Godsend! Great value for the SUV repairs, amazing. Yep, owning a house something will always crop up eventually. Regular maintenance is a must but some things like the gate rail we have no control over. Things just happen. Food looks excellent. JJ is the nicest guy and I love his family too. AI doesn't bother me in the least. It can be fun, play with it if you want. Nice seeing you Joe and Gift. A little sad about how the weather in Europe was disappointing, as every year I travel back from Bangkok for 3 months. We arrived in Rome on the 12th and are now on a Celebrity 11 day cruise. Question about your house. What is the actual colour of your exterior walls, looks like cream. Beautiful house. Also your electric gate that you had problems with. Thank you 🙏. I believe the colors are a cream white and gray. The gate itself was custom built by our builders team. The electric gate opener we purchased separate on Lazada and had it installed, I believe it did come from China but not certain.

That gate issue…imagine being locked in..lol..I first laid that metal rod for mine but switched to a simple piece of angle iron ^ and it works great…same wheels…just better groove I guess…and yeah..haha…I raised my top guide just high enough to lift the gate off the track if I need to…I figured if it somehow ran over a rock and lifted…I don’t want it lifting into the guide and jamming the whole thing up…so yeah…maintenance is part of the program for any homeowner…..good job JJ !

No faceshield when welding... Not good. Considering I just had my car serviced ( oil change,trans service, tail light assembly replaced) for $700.00 and change, I'd say you got a bargain. JJ is the man.🙏👍
Back in America when I had a vehicle, I researched RUclips and did all of my car maintenance myself except for tire issues. Not to say that you can't do it. You seem like an intelligent man and don't have a lot of time on your hands. It was going to be extremely expensive because it was a Mercedes. I bought a lot of tools and gained a lot of knowledge. My first brake job i did, i effed up and put them on backwards. 555. Screwed up the pads and rotors. But I was able to replace them.

Dang Joe those brake pads are still new , you should see my pads are thin but i still have 3 months left to change them out , I bought New Stainless Steel brake Rotors but going to wait until i change out pads.

Hi Gift and Joe, to answer your last question first, NO I prefer the real Joe & Gift to AI! Having said that, AI has great potential for certain things, but must never be allowed to take over from human interaction. My son who is an independent computer programmer and works with a prestigious Hospital in Oxford developing software for more accurate diagnosis by doctors for certain diseases including certain types of cancer insists that the key component of any diagnosis is still the face to face contact with a doctor. Great to have a guy like JJ around he is one in a million and knows what he is doing. Up here it is difficult to find a reliable workman as every Tom Dick and Harry claim to know how to repair or build anything, without any real knowledge, so most of the time I try to do small jobs myself. However, with increasing age heavy jobs are now getting too much for me. Your lunch looks delicious, hope it wasn't too cold after JJ's visit. God bless you both 😀❤🙏

I think we’re buying a Fortuner this year in Chiang Mai but I’m going to drive the Isuzu and the Mitsubishi as well. Those sliding Thai gates get rained on so much, ours needs new bearings. Our caretaker just discovered termites in our built ins. Had to drill into the foundation from inside the house to treat the area. Funny, I just bought an air fryer at Home Pro last trip. Love Thailand but it comes with its own unique problems 👍👍

Joe, looks like the track rusted and separated from the concrete. Rust is a big problem near the ocean and wonder if they use aluminum or rust free steel?
They used steel for the foundation and the rod itself seems to be some type of rust free metal or aluminum. Actually not as bad as it looked. It was due to the rain water not draining in that area but we will get that resolved.
AI has good points and bad. I agree it can be helpful in the medical field by putting symptoms in a data base to find a possible solution for you. Or can it also be used to pick stocks ahead of the trade. Defence purposes the possibility could be endless. Nice video Joe and JJ is the man. All the best 🙏

But for specialist tasks such as research, analysis, correlating vast quantities of data, finding associations and summarizing it is going to be a revolutionary 'companion' to human endeavors. It is only very early days for AI. It is kind of on par with the computer revolution, when people said all jobs would go etc. Many did, but whole new industries and jobs were also created.
Cartoon very creative. It would be cool to see what all your friends look like aa a cartoon. Maybe an off shoot youtube channel. I have nit seen this done yet in Thailand. Those gate motors have a brake in auto mode you have to select manuald to slide it by hand. Welding like he does would be absolute rubbish welds with no mask. how can you see the metal and rod pool together.

As for not wearing a fact shield I have to agree, not a good idea but this is Thailand and things still seem to work here even if we disagree with their methods. The gentleman did an awesome job on the welding and the gate is working perfectly fine now.

Hi Gift and Joe, to answer your last question first, NO I prefer the real Joe & Gift to AI! Having said that, AI has great potential for certain things, but must never be allowed to take over from human interaction. My son who is an independent computer programmer and works with a prestigious Hospital in Oxford developing software for more accurate diagnosis by doctors for certain diseases including certain types of cancer insists that the key component of any diagnosis is still the face to face contact with a doctor. Great to have a guy like JJ around he is one in a million and knows what he is doing. Up here it is difficult to find a reliable workman as every Tom Dick and Harry claim to know how to repair or build anything, without any real knowledge, so most of the time I try to do small jobs myself. However, with increasing age heavy jobs are now getting too much for me. Your lunch looks delicious, hope it wasn't too cold after JJ's visit. God bless you both 😀❤🙏

I think we’re buying a Fortuner this year in Chiang Mai but I’m going to drive the Isuzu and the Mitsubishi as well. Those sliding Thai gates get rained on so much, ours needs new bearings. Our caretaker just discovered termites in our built ins. Had to drill into the foundation from inside the house to treat the area. Funny, I just bought an air fryer at Home Pro last trip. Love Thailand but it comes with its own unique problems 👍👍

Joe, looks like the track rusted and separated from the concrete. Rust is a big problem near the ocean and wonder if they use aluminum or rust free steel?
They used steel for the foundation and the rod itself seems to be some type of rust free metal or aluminum. Actually not as bad as it looked. It was due to the rain water not draining in that area but we will get that resolved.

AI has good points and bad. I agree it can be helpful in the medical field by putting symptoms in a data base to find a possible solution for you. Good price. In Sweden it cost 500 dollar to change front brakes crazy. So i did it my self it took 30 minutes and cost me 30 dollar

I have never had to replace rear brake pads. Those pads don't look bad to me, but would have to compare them to new pads.
I think that I could have gotten much more use out of them. Luckily, it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg to have them replaced.

Those gate motors have a brake in auto mode you have to select manuald to slide it by hand. Welding like he does would be absolute rubbish welds with no mask. how can you see the metal and rod pool together.

As for not wearing a fact shield I have to agree, not a good idea but this is Thailand and things still seem to work here even if we disagree with their methods. The gentleman did an awesome job on the welding and the gate is working perfectly fine now.
