Keep in mind that weight doesn't matter especially at this point because you likely have little to no muscle mass so you're gonna have to get really small to be lean😉

      It's still not the real answer. Modern medicine has overemphasized the importance of calcium and under-emphasized the importance of magnesium. You need about equal amounts of calcium and magnesium. Calcium without magnesium is TOXIC. Many people have differences in how their body processes calcium that worsens this problem. Soft tissue calcification is the result, and soft tissue calcification is the cause of MANY ailments, from fibromyalgia to carpal tunnel, trigger finger, gastroparesis, tinnitus, TMJ, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart attacks, all kinds of stuff. This video offers good workout advice but it doesn't truly explain the REAL cause of skinnyfat and how to avoid it.

      The same applies for skinny guys , the difference is that they don't struggle with a belly but with gaining muscle mass. Some people have pretty good genetics and gain muscle mass quickly and don't put on much fat (specially black people) but those that don't have good muscle building genetics have to put more effort and time , it's not bad but it's harder for skinny and skinny fat guys

    Simple solution - requires discipline and consistency though:
    1. Cardio for 30 minutes upon waking up.
    2. No or little to no carbs after 6pm.
    3. 60 minutes workout at night. Focus on core, legs, hips, back, - everything else is a nice to have and aesthetic really.
    4. High water volume throughout the day.
    5. Eat vegetables, high protein, fruits, and carbs in smaller portions but throughout the day.
    If you want more details about each step, let me know and reply.
    3 months and it will change your life. Not as hard as you think :)

      My only question is do I eat in a calorie deficit or surplus??

    • @comet315
      @comet315 2 года назад +4

      @TJ compound bodyweight exercises, e.g. one legged squats, incline push-ups, pull-ups, planks, etc. Resistance bands are fantastic and very cheap for working out at home as you progress in strength. Just focus on compound movement exercises that train large muscle groups and avoid isolation training for smaller muscles (e.g. triceps, biceps, shoulders etc). Compound exercises work these smaller muscles as well.

    • @comet315
      @comet315 2 года назад +1

      @@treysmith2788 you will need a slight surplus to add muscle mass first. The more your muscles eventually grow the more calories you will need to sustain your body weight. Meaning, the more muscle you have the more you can eat without gaining fat. That's because muscle uses energy just to exist. So more muscle = more energy consumed and you can eat more calories. And once you have enough muscle it is much easier to lose the fat with a caloric deficit. Focus on enough high quality protein throughout the day (white meats, fish, seafood, dairy, eggs etc).

    • @treysmith2788

    • @comet315
      @comet315 2 года назад +2

      @@treysmith2788 depends on how much muscle mass you have already and your current body composition (i.e. muscle to fat ratio) and what your personal goals are. I doubt a few weeks will make a significant difference though in most cases. I would try to bulk as minum for 3-4 months and see from there.

    I was 88 kilos last year (around may) I went on a low cal sore and I reached 68 kilos this may. But I lacked muscle and I was weak aff. I then began to incorporate more protein in my diet and I started free weights and the machine weights. I'm 71 now and I've never felt better. Thanks for your help!

    By far, the BEST video I have EVER seen on this topic! VERY well done! Clean, clear and to the point. Backed up with evidence... (that can obviously be debated based on the type of evidence it is, but at least he provides it and mentions the authors). Again, BY FAR the best video on this subject. Thank you so much!
    I am skinny fat... I look like I'm 6months pregnant. I am on Keto, I walk 45min TWICE a day and burn about 1800 calories, just walking alone! I don't eat much... I drink a gallon of water a day. I've been doing this every single day for 18 days and it appears that my gut is BIGGER! I am VERY frustrated! THEN.... THEN I watched this and it is clear what is going on!
    Game changer! My game changes tomorrow! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

    Many people say that you are as good as top tier fitness youtubers like jeff nippard , athlean x ( who were my personal favorite before i found you).Your videos are like jeff nippards but much better for me.The problem i find in these 2 channels is that in the end of every video sure i learned something but it is always unclear , it doesnt have a direction. To make it simpler , you do the best job in analysing and summarising everything in the end. Your videos are so good its like paying a personal trainer to teach you everything.Dude you fucking rock i fucking love you and i will share your channel as much as i can with everyone.You are going to fucking explode in a year iv said it before in another comment.Keep it up!!!

    Now I lost all the weight to what I originally was, but I still look fat, especially on my face. People kept saying it's because it's normal for my age to look fat or that it's genetics. I thought it was too late for me to get back in shape and lost hope.
    But now because of the term skinny fat, I have faith again to get back in shape to what I originally was. I was too busy trying to lose weight without trying to gain muscle. Been working on muscle gain since August now.
