I've had the E series one speed for 16 years and the Black with the side brushes for 2 years. I love the side brushes, I have hard floors and rugs, love the way the side brushes sweep into the corners and under the edges of the rug. Ahhh deep pile carpet, I spoke to Rainbow regarding this and they recommended using the stiff brush but I'm very happy with the newer power nozzle.
I just got a rainbow e2 blue for only 50 bucks. And I still can’t believe it, only thing I don’t like is the power nozzle it bounces up and down a lot when going against the grain of the carpet, and I don’t understand why because it doesn’t have the spinning brushes on the side like the newer power nozzle does, but overall it is such a amazing and unique machine, and I’m just so happy i finally found one That i was actually able to afford, because the prices for used ones are usually ridiculous in my area, and the lady I bought it from gave me everything with it including the shampooer!. It was like a once in a lifetime find, and definitely the best deal I’ve ever found before, I’m still in shock and I’ve had it for 2 days already lol

the blue e2 is the best I think. The quite mode is much smoother and quieter moreover I like two hoses and two wands, it can be seem as harder to clean but I think cleaning with two hoses is easier because you don't have to change nozzles between surfaces. I clean all the hardfloors then I use power nozzle to clean carpets and it is really better. The power mozzle on the blue has much wider cleaning path and the edge cleaning is better since it doesn't have spinners at the edges and it has height adjustment. Overall I really love rainbow vacuum especially the blue e2

Bruce Solomon oh no haha, I went back. I did say platinum! I meant guardian ultra. They don't think a vacuum is worth having if it doesn't say rainbow and uses water.
I've never wanted to have a house so large that I'd need a canister that's like a shop vac with a powernozzle though there are great benefits to having such a machine. If I did need one I think that it would be a Filter Queen.
The hose and all of the attachments on the Filter Queen are so closely matched to Kirby. Everything on it looks like it's made to last as well as operate with substance.

It also has quick connect/disconnect. The electric hose is also the wet hose. Different cord wrap. And it has a brushless motor for extended life. Different dolly. More accessories and it's asthma and allergy certified.
I got my E2 used (only once) and got an amazing deal on it. I disliked it so much that I sold it and managed a profit on it (I would've sold it to you at my cost to quiet your g-parents up... OMG the NERVE!). I'm with you. It so very much wasn't worth the little I even paid for it.
Scrappi Z it's a decent cleaner but I just don't "feel" it with this model. If they sealed the leak points and made the nozzle contact better it would solve so many problems.

I like the side brushes when I need them lol. But cleaning on the rug, Its best to overlap because the inlet on the bottom is so small.

yes I actually didn't like the grey details, it would be better if they replace the grey details with black or some other darker color
