You can combine the lava charm with your boots. The golfer is found in the underground desert.Also the pets the zzoologist sells counnt as actual NPCs you can interact with and can be assigned a room (even if someone already lives there).
I recommend crafting/using obsidian skin potions since they makes you immune to lava, the On Fire! debuff, and somehow lets you breathe oxygen while completely submerged in basically molten rock soup. Way easier to mine heck-stone since you don't have to worry about lava for a couple minutes
Waffle, you need to make the fiery great sword and the blade of grass (after you explore the jungle) so you can make nights edge. It’s a great weapon and is a material to make an even better weapon
there's an enchanted sword you can find in caves that looks like a sword handle in rocks(not the skelebones). if you break it then it drops the sword which can later be used to craft an even better weapon
tips if you're going to keep using the sunfury: mainly use the "punch" when letting go of left-click and hold it down after letting go to make it drop instead of coming back to you. it will return if you get too far or let go again though
Obisidian shield (and the items you craft from it) are some of the best items in the game. I would not recommend unequipping it. The shackle or the flying carpet are much better options to switch out for the lava charm. You may not think so, but you have outgrown the shackle at this point. Make another item warding (+4 defense) and all you'll lose is 1 defense if you unequip the shackle.
You got insanely lucky with finding the lava charm. It is one of the rarest accessories to find in the game. And can be used to make terraspark boots, the best boots in the game
After this playthrough I think it would be cool if you played it again modded. I recommend the calamity mod. It makes the game like 2x longer. With a lot more bosses and cooler weapons, it’s arguably better than the original.

For goblin teh you'll need 1.metal detecter obtained from killing the nymphs they are shown as lost girl on life form analyser and if you get close it says nymph it will have a 50% chance of dropping one 2.dps meter which you can purchase from travelling merchant 3.stop watch which can also be purchased by a travelling merchant I hope my comment was useful by the way big fan
Waffle you should make the Night’s Edge. It’s one of the best pre-hardmode swords and it’s within your grasp. It’s crafted with the blood butcherer (you have it), the muramansa (you have it), the fiery greatsword (you can craft it right now) and the blade of grass (found in the underground jungle).
Yoo waffle, break the bookshelves (the little books on wood platforms) in the dungeon, there is a chance you get a water bolt when you break them. Now a water bolt is a powerful magic weapon, it's water projectile does OK damage, but it can bounce a couple of times, so it's good for the wall of flesh as it can bounce between the ceiling and (if you make one which you should) a hell bridge (a bridge of stone or platforms that goes across hell).
First like- I think the bookshelves are cursed cause of when he went on that dragon hunt is ep.6 so maybe the first part of your idea wouldn’t work. And also, the flesh he got from that dragon he fought last eppisode he got it from that so yeah.

When you release the spinning weapon it does almost twice the damage, while the spinning attack does half damage

you should get the nights edge, it's a decent pre-hard mode weapon and is used later in crafting. I think it's the best pre hard weapon
