- Ninos loves drag racing and has a bit of a soft spot for the 180SX, both reflected in this '98 Nissan: "I really wanted to keep those classic 180SX lines and not turn it into an outright drag car."

That engine bay is so neat... wow! Loving this 180
It truly is one of the nicest 180 engine bays we've seen:)
Full metal widebody? I would love that! I always loved the look of nice wide fenders, but something feels wrong about cutting perfect fenders and glueing tupperware onto it...
finding a p11 vvl head is hard enough thats a p12 head !! love it
On a 4 banger? Good lord. It must idle like the devil.
Jamal Kherry on the contrary, those vvl heads can provide a pretty smooth idle due to fact it has a smaller lobe profile at lower rpms. sorta like v-tec.
Metal pumped guards and VE head is where it's at. The car inside and out is very tasteful

VCT is variable cam timing. VVL is variable valve lift/duration.

You're absolutely correct, that's exactly what VVL stands for. We've noticed it after the video went up. Our sincere apologies.

that would be a great car for 30 grand ... but it looks like he's spent about 100 or 2 in witch case Id prefer a 911 turbo
Who made the exhaust manifold?
Lewis Sears if I'm right I believe it's a hypertune manifold. I think he has a build thread on zilvia. But here's the manifold link

Hypertune has done all of the fab and piping so we suspect they're responsible for the exhaust manifold as well.

We shot the video on one of the hottest days this year. It was about 45C outside and about 50C in the garage. We had to stop every few minutes to wipe sweat from Matt's forehead. The things we do....

Well, it has two lobe profiles... so not only the lift is variable but also the duration and timing. It basicly has two sets of cams that you can switch between, like VTEC.
New South Wales has better laws on modified vehicles than Queensland.
It is illegal to have nitrous oxide system in a street registered vehicle in QLD including if the bottle is removed. I wish QLD was the same as NSW with car mods.

ik its built for drag but as soon as i saw it was auto meh. Not the same, a sequential box would've been my choice in this application.

Yes it was:( A couple of weeks after this video was shot in fact. It's a sad world we live in. Some people just seem to have no problems with stealing something someone else has poured their heart and soul into, not to mention all their spare cash.
Haltech sad story i seen it on fb just came in my mind when i seen this video it was a beautiful car feel sorry for the owner
Really cause what I was thinking is holy rice cakes what did you spend on this?! AMD its street registered so there must be no emission in your country I supposed cauae there is no way this thing is clean.

Haltech oh my god, that's so sad! Makes me want to bolt my ute to the garage floor. Just one look at this car and you know it's the owners pride and joy, bloody thieving animals!
Wow wtf was it parked on the street? I own an immaculate 180sx type x and im always paranoid its going to get stolen even when I just go into the supermarket. They are super easy to steal. Thankfully I have a lock up garage at night for it. Sadly this its probably been parted out now. Hope he gets it back tho its a beautiful machine with very tasteful mods.

Looks like the owner has gone to great lengths and expense to keep this thing street legal. The cops in VIC a bitch when it comes to import cars (especially highway patrol). They will pull you over without any reason to defect you. Trust me I know, they actively target S-chasis cars.. I have a 180sx myself and I have to keep it very stealth to avoid defects.
It's a sad state of affairs when you get pulled over just for driving a particular type of a car:(
