I bought it and I wrote my review.... banggood erased it. The battery last 6/8 hours with normal usage, only data connection, no wifi, no bluetooth. The total price is about 200$ (57$ duty charges + 13$ shipping). The software is not good, it should be done better, with more functions. 4 stars quality
Thanks for your report. These watches are still not perfect, and duty charges are totally your own country screwing you as a resident by taking your money from you to pay your own taxes, when you buy things from outside your boarder, so no fault of Banggood.

Hello, just bought it and I have 2 questions : first in the comment section you linked a video made by the watch and it is raw and 1080 50fps. But when I use the default camera, I'm recording at 480p face cam and 720p side cam... How is it possible to record at 1080p 60fps (or 50)? Do we need external app? Second : Is there any way to have a face for the wear you can touch on to (for example) launch heart record? Thank you for all your great advice
The raw video was shot by a pro photographer with a separate camera who was following the diver wearing the watch. The footage is not from the watch. Yes, it is possible to have a watch face launch the heart rate app. Check with Al Rod from his link info in the show notes as he has designed several. Hello... One question, you said in video that this watch have not option for bluetooth connection with your phone for making calls...but in 3:47 mins in video, you can see paper with special features, and first line is bluetooth calling and it says support?
Sorry, yes, Android smartwatches can all accept a separate SIM card and make and receive calls. What the newer models can't do is receive or send calls through your phone by connecting to it with Bluetooth, but for that you would need your phone because it uses the phone's SIM and number. This watch can't do that.
Hey Mr Ticks just wondering if you would know if the charging dock with the Rollme will it also work with the Kospet Optomus 2 ? I have both watches but did not order the charging dock for the Optomus. Didn't want to place my Kospet on the rollme docking station in case it shorted out, thank you for helping me , i have purchased both the watches from watching your show and love both of them.

I'm, fortunately, in the baseline group to establish the norms from which deviation can be observed in others who contract it. I haven't had time to set up and test the battery fully, but I'll tease you with the results I'll be mentioning in Part 2. After fully charging the watch to 100% just before bed and leaving it on a desk overnight with just WiFi turned on and a stopwatch running in the background, screened dimmed to lowest and set for 15sec timeout (though the screen never came on overnight), after 8+ hours the power was at 98%. After running the battery down to 2% and placing it on the charging dock, it recharged to 100% within 2.5 hours. The video will show exact numbers every 15 min or so. I even got a partial 2nd charge after running it down again from the juice left in the 2200 mAh dock, and you'll see that at the end if you stick with the hour long video!

Yes, absolutely, but one at a time. Make sure you unpair from the last watch before attempting to pair to a different watch (or phone) or the earphones won't be visible for pairing. If you forget to do that, you can reset the earphones by following their instructions. It's usually a long press and hold on the power button, but check as it can be different for different earphones.

I've had some strange results from time to time. It almost seems that it's set for the left arm in that it sometimes turns on when I twist my wrist away from me. Try if you lift and look and it doesn't go on, twist gently away from you for a moment and then back and see what happens. If that works for you, let me know and I'll relay it to the factory for a firmware update. Thanks Patrick. PS. It needs to work with gentle movements, not violent shakes, though that's the natural tendency when it doesn't turn on. We need to find a motion that does work with a smooth, simple raising or lowering motion. Appreciate your help.

I had the same 'issue' with the watch when I first have it. Then I watched a video on RUclips posted a year or two ago and the guy there said, for the feature to work, you have to first hold your wrist at horizontal level before doing the twist. And it has worked for me since then!
It's so nice that removable bands are becoming standard. The older models that have the antenna in the bands made for no customizability. Now, especially if you are a face designer, you can get bands that compliment your faces and/or outfit/situation.
Yes, ever since they figured out how to make ceramic cases rather than metal, suddenly the cases became transparent to radio waves. Next is to perfect waterproofing while maintaining heat dissipation under heavy 4G data load (like streaming video chat or RUclips). Only this S08 has mastered it so far.

Well, Dene, even the TFT doesn't hack it very well outdoors compared to the Genesis screen. Guess I'm totally spoiled by that watch. I can see this one OK, but not in direct sun. Can't really tell if it's easier than an AMOLED screen watch, but on both you need to crank the brightness up full. Stick with a high contrast white on black watch face and you should do OK.
That needs to be activated through Accessibility settings which you can get to by installing the app Settings Search, or you can try "OK Google, open Accessibility settings", which works on some Android watches.

As a lap swimmer I have been waiting for an ip68 full android smart watch and it's finally here!! I reeeeeaaaallly wish rollme would have included lap swimming in the fitness recording options though. I have not been able to find an app that can do this well! Haha, I hope we see a lot more fully waterproof Android watches in the future. After the first one with removable bands, they all went to removable bands. Then 4G came and they all now offer 4G. So it makes sense the next generation will be waterproof. Now we need an upgrade on the software/firmware like you said.

Do you have any idea what are two metal pins at the bottom of the charging dock? By size, it fits in the hole at the bottom of the watch for sim card compartment, but I'm not sure that is the purpose of pins. Can you check it please?

You'll love the underwater testing and YES, the screen still works to the touch (mostly) even wet after just pulling it out of water. Amazing! Earlier waterproof non-Android watches would just flip out when wet. They needed a software screen lock just to keep the watch from having a conniption fit (don't know if you're old enough to have heard that term). Well not this one. Please help me because I installed the app on the CH Play store and installed it but the screen was not black, but pressing the power button, the icons still exist and cannot access the main screen of the watch.
Try and hold both buttons down for a long time to restart the watch. If you can't uninstall the app, or the watch behaves bad, go to Settings and do a Factory Data Reset. For further help, as the tech team over here: www.fullandroidwatch.org
It should work, but I haven't tried it. Not sure if Strava interfaces with the pedometer, GPS, and heart rate sensor. Anybody know for sure? Perhaps a running blog would have folks who research this. Please let us know if you find out.
I have a few questions: 1) I see a bunch of Rogbid Brave watches on Amazon. Are they all the same watch? Or is there an entry-level, mid-level, high end? (it looks like all the same to me) 2) Can I install my own watch band? It looks like 22mm. What is the size? 3) I have youtube TV. Can I watch TV on this watch if I was so inclined and didn't care about a round screen? 4) My wife has an 8+ Samsung phone. Can I place a video call to her phone without downloading a third party software such as zoom? In other words, will the video phone feature work straight out of the box without any extra software? 5) Is the battery replaceable?

Yes, that's what I said. I'm pretty sure that's true on this one. Don't know how to tell other than comparing pictures from this one to a phone that has, say, a 8MP front camera (since they all have better back cameras). It's universal practice to upscale all camera module images. 2MP cameras measure 5MP image size (1920X2560) and 5MP cameras measure 8MP images (2448x3264). I have yet to see a true 8MP camera module on a smartwatch.
You should be able to do that in Settings. There's also third party apps you can install to increase font size. I covered those in the review of the Genesis smartwatch if you want to see how they work.
I would look for a smartwatch that projects a trackpad onto you. I feel that trackpad gestures are the way of the future. The ability to recognize multiple gestures at once might allow for console/PC quality games on a smartwatch.

Yes, it will, but all these watches tend to get hot and run out of battery fast in hotspot mode. If you plan to do that often, I'd recommend the LEMFO LEM T or the Ticwris MAX as they have much bigger batteries and are larger to dissipate heat.
T-Mobile has a thing called "Digits" that's supposed to allow multiple devices with SIMs in them ring with the same number. You can check that out. Android 7 smartwatches don't support Bluetooth calling.

Not yet. I don't think it is on the market yet as none of us are getting them for review. The "Pro" version based on WearOS may not really exist. We'll have to wait and see.

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to test further than the unboxing level as I'm reviewing a new watch every 2 to 3 days. But when you get yours and do more detailed testing, we'd all love to hear your results. I totally rely on viewers like you to fill in the gaps I leave in my reviews. My purpose is to perk interest in a huge variety of wearables, as opposed to only reviewing the 'classic' models everybody else reviews over and over again.
Only a few Android 5.1 and 6 watches supported BT calling. I have an old, outdated spreadsheet at tinyurl.com/androidwatches that shows which models supported it. Nothing past Android 6 does though.
Are you talking the bands you put on the watch to wear (yes as long as they are 24mm) or the bands that the GSM cellular network uses (which I don't know but might be in the specs)?

Lemfo 12 and kospet prime isn’t really waterproof so yeah. mainly the rollme s08 and rogbid brave. I also checked out Thor pro but that’s a year old already and it’s not waterproof. I’m not talking about expensive brands like Samsung, garmin, apple, or fossils. Mainly just other brands we’ve never really heard before but with good functions which I know most of them are made in Shenzhen China.. lol please let me know if you can and thanks a lot!
You've pretty much nailed it. As for Android smartwatches, so far the S08 and Rugbid Brave have been the only ones to test as truly waterproof, so if that's your deciding factor, then these are the two watches (identical) to consider.

Thank you again sir! One more question about the ones with water proof. For rollme, rugbid, and lemfo. 1. Can you take pictures or record underwater? Of course I’m not gonna record or constantly take pictures for hours underwater.2. Rollme and rugbid have 5atm for 48hours, just curious. Is the 48 hours the total amount of hours you can have underwater? Meaning for ex, if I go swimming 1 hour a day ( which I do on a daily basis), does it mean I can only swim for 48 days before water will immerse into the watch and be malfunctioned..Or does it just mean don’t leave it underwater for more than 48 hours at a time? Which usually wouldn’t be possible cause no ones gonna swim for that long unless if you lost the watch and it sinks underwater or if ure really stuck at sea...Thank you again! I know it sounds stupid, but I’m just being honest and wanna know more.
Very informative video. Great job. And I totally dig the watch.. I'm actually searching for the best watch to keep track of my blood pressure and heart rate. Have some health issues and if I have to much fluctuation in my blood pressure I end up with a migraine headache that is so bad i lose my vision and I feel like my eye balls are going to explode because of the pressure. Then I start to have seizures. Last time it happened was back on January 4th of this year. Last thing I remember was waking up up with the headache and being completely blind. Got my old lady to call the paramedics and after that I remember nothing at all except Christmas shopping in mid December . So this had been happening every 5-7 months for almost 3 years. So I woke up 3 days later in the icu at UCSF (University of California San Francisco. I live in Mendocino County witch is a good 3 and half drive so the medics had actually called a Cal Star helicopter to pick me up and 4 miles from my house in a big open field.. Sorry for the long story but I'm lookin for a watch that I can depend on for accurate blood pressure data. I've lost some noticeable cognitive abilitys and I need to be notified if I need to take a medication to stabilize my BP.. In your situation I would be demanding a calibrated medical device as your health depends on critical monitoring of your blood pressure. None of these devices are suited for that purpose. At best they can advise you that you might want to check yourself with calibrated equipment and call your medical support team immediately. These are toys. Simply that. They are by no means meant to address serious medical conditions. That being said, the closest to medical grade equipment is the Wellue like I have reviewed. If you can put your iPhone in WiFi hotspot, you should be able to connect this watch to your phone via WiFi and stream at cellular speeds to the watch using your cell data.

Hi Sir, I have used LEMFO LEMX, LEMFO LEMT & ZEBLAZE THOR 5 PRO currently I cant charge all these Watches. All these type of smartwatches for me have the same problem. Currently noting is working.
It appears the batteries on these watches will stop recharging if left too long on empty. Sometimes I get them to come back by leaving them on a charger overnight. Some guys have reported success after leaving a watch in the refrigerator (not freezer!) for a half hour or so and then charging. If nothing works, then the battery is basically dead. They aren't easily replaceable in these watches either, so you (and me) are out of luck. The best practice is to try and keep the watch charged to between 20% and 80%, which is hard when you have a bunch of watches. Sorry, but it's a uniform issue with the battery technology at this stage in battery evolution. We seriously need new battery technology. Thanks for reporting it. Glad to know I am not alone.

Sir now I am totally confused after seeing the problems of this rollme s08 smartwatch. I have seen in a video that it get discharged just after 2 or 3 min but the battery was 63% . Sir pls test this smartwatch for a couple of days . So that we can get to know what's the problem with this smartwatch
All smartwatches take time to season so the battery level monitor matches the actual power in the battery. If you follow the procedures I set forth in the Android Smartwatch setup guide, including the appropriate checking for updates and Factory Data Restore procedures, then cycling the battery down to about 20%, charging to full, and draining again, and do this about 3 or 4 times without charging in-between, you'll probably have accurate readings and the battery will last as long as possible. Complaining about discharge first time after 3 or 4 hours is like complaining your new car gets only 5 miles per gallon without filling it up and draining it down and letting your engine get used to the gas. There's a 'break in' period for cars. Same is true for Android watches if you want to get the most out of them.

I've been using this gear for more than a year when surfing. It is ok in most sense but the GPS tracking isn't precise enough. And the speaker volume is little bit small when talking at the noisy beach. Plus Bluetooth connection often fails. Except these, satisfactory item
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, these watches are slowly improving, but aren't quite there yet. There are Android 10 versions of this S08 out now by various brand names, like the LEM14.
Some of them do, but it takes a lot of work to set it up, and Amazon often rejects them (even Jason, a USA citizen with a USA registered company located in Shenzhen couldn't get a USA Amazon listing). So you just have to check each one and see. One thing for sure, the price will be considerably higher on Amazon, but you'll have Amazon's protection if you have any problems.
The phone companion apps for all of these Android watches are not very good. Have you watched the videos from ercan acar? His rollme has battery problems....and he shows vapor in the side camera.....online since less than an hour.....the first videos he was really excited and showed how it was in the pool for about an hour.....now he is really disappointed!
Yes, I've watched them now thanks to you and Gifted Fingers reporting. I've left a couple of related comments. I don't think we know enough yet, like how it got water in it after he did a 50 minute test at the bottom of a pool with no water intrusion. Something isn't adding up.
Just bought a Rollme S08. Has anyone been able to connect it to a PC to transfer files??? When I attach it by the usb cable on the lcd appear the charging screen and it's impossible activate the transfer files mode. Olso it's impossible to activate it by the "connect" menu because the "USB" option remain inactive also once the usb cable is connected!! it's unbelievable!!
I kind of wish you hadn't hyped up the Genesis so much. It's taken so long to be delivered and my experience with the tracking of my package via Aramex has been horrific. Not the best choice of shipper. Also, it's not waterproof at all and you have featured a series of very waterproof android watch options lately. Is waterproofing a trend? I have a feeling the Genesis II will have waterproofing, if there is a successor.
Yea, it is as it is. No matter what watch was of the moment, from March to present shipping sucks. Nobody's gotten Kospet Primes who ordered them, or LEM12s, and I'm hearing about it like I should have warned during the video. Well, I do warn folks at the end of the Part 2 of theS08 review, publishing tomorrow, and I even show the exotic routing vendors are taking to get watches around China's restrictions, by staging them out of Saudi Arabia and other places. Honestly, I've never heard of Aramex. Sounds like a Mexican cartel delivery, but I'm sure it's legit. Anyway, I think we're all caught in Karma right now. As for waterproofing, up until the S08, which, by the way, wasn't even on any of our radar screens until recently, well up until now I wouldn't suggest ever dunking an Android watch in water. I tried it once, if you check back in earlier videos, and fried one. I subsequently did a teardown and we identified on camera where they screwed up in sealing it with a piece of insulation sticking out over the seal. Swore I'd never dunk another one in water again. Until the S08. That's in tomorrow's video, too. Yes, a Genesis II and, in fact, ALL future Android smartwatches had better be solidly built to withstand swimming. Over the past few years we've seen them move from fixed bands to removable ones, from 3G to 4G LTE, and now it's only obvious fully waterproof is the next horizon. After that? Probably better cameras, much better GPS with GLONASS and others, and true health and fitness sensors for body temp., blood oxygen (after all, we live in a coronavirus world now), blood pressure, and yes, even sleep monitoring, which still isn't on Android watches.
Try logging out and see if the price is $139.99 without logging in. Somebody else reported something strange like this from using the Banggood app. Very odd. I still get $139.99 when I just tried it.
I spoke to rollme on aliexpress and they told me that I should ask him to remove ercans video as it may have been a fault of the first 100 batch sent out to customers. I screen shotted our messages also
@@SWT I have been using the watch for about 2 weeks without a sim card and I have not used it to make phone calls or tested it for water proofing. Overall, the performance is satisfactory and no major issues as yet. However, I have a problem with the charging dock. I have used it a couple of times and it was fine. One day, I was charging the dock with the watch placed on it as well. When I went back to check later, I felt that the dock was fairly hot and I stopped the charging. After that, the dock stopped working - it could not charge by itself nor could it charge the watch. The charging lights were not there anymore. I reported this to my local online seller and they told me that they have to submit request to the supplier in Hong Kong to send a replacement. A week has passed and no news yet. I have also sent an email to the email addresses available at Rollme's web site telling of the problem and awaiting their response. I hope you can relay this problem to Rollme. I received the watch on 18th June - not sure if this is among the first 100 units though. Thanks!

I bought it and I wrote my review.... banggood erased it. The battery last 6/8 hours with normal usage, only data connection, no wifi, no bluetooth.
The total price is about 200$ (57$ duty charges + 13$ shipping).
The software is not good, it should be done better, with more functions.

Thanks for your report. These watches are still not perfect, and duty charges are totally your own country screwing you as a resident by taking your money from you to pay your own taxes, when you buy things from outside your boarder, so no fault of Banggood.

Hello, just bought it and I have 2 questions : first in the comment section you linked a video made by the watch and it is raw and 1080 50fps. But when I use the default camera, I'm recording at 480p face cam and 720p side cam... How is it possible to record at 1080p 60fps (or 50)? Do we need external app?

The raw video was shot by a pro photographer with a separate camera who was following the diver wearing the watch. The footage is not from the watch. Yes, it is possible to have a watch face launch the heart rate app. Check with Al Rod from his link info in the show notes as he has designed several. Hello... One question, you said in video that this watch have not option for bluetooth connection with your phone for making calls...but in 3:47 mins in video, you can see paper with special features, and first line is bluetooth calling and it says support?
It does not support. The paper is wrong. No Android 7.1.1 can do Bluetooth calling.

Sorry, yes, Android smartwatches can all accept a separate SIM card and make and receive calls. What the newer models can't do is receive or send calls through your phone by connecting to it with Bluetooth, but for that you would need your phone because it uses the phone's SIM and number. This watch can't do that.
Hey Mr Ticks just wondering if you would know if the charging dock with the Rollme will it also work with the Kospet Optomus 2 ? I have both watches but did not order the charging dock for the Optomus. That's the awesome Oura ring. My favorite wearable of all. Amazing device. I'm even part of a study monitoring for early signs of COVID-19 using the ring. I'm, fortunately, in the baseline group to establish the norms from which deviation can be observed in others who contract it. how did the battery ended up in what porcentage ? love this watch
I haven't had time to set up and test the battery fully, but I'll tease you with the results I'll be mentioning in Part 2. After fully charging the watch to 100% just before bed and leaving it on a desk overnight with just WiFi turned on and a stopwatch running in the background, screened dimmed to lowest and set for 15sec timeout (though the screen never came on overnight), after 8+ hours the power was at 98%.
After running the battery down to 2% and placing it on the charging dock, it recharged to 100% within 2.5 hours. The video will show exact numbers every 15 min or so. I even got a partial 2nd charge after running it down again from the juice left in the 2200 mAh dock, and you'll see that at the end if you stick with the hour long video!

One question; is it possible to connect bluetooth earphones to this android watch and also to the Lem13/Dm28?
Yes, absolutely, but one at a time. Make sure you unpair from the last watch before attempting to pair to a different watch (or phone) or the earphones won't be visible for pairing. If you forget to do that, you can reset the earphones by following their instructions. It's usually a long press and hold on the power button, but check as it can be different for different earphones.

I've had some strange results from time to time. It almost seems that it's set for the left arm in that it sometimes turns on when I twist my wrist away from me. Try if you lift and look and it doesn't go on, twist gently away from you for a moment and then back and see what happens. If that works for you, let me know and I'll relay it to the factory for a firmware update. Thanks Patrick. PS. It needs to work with gentle movements, not violent shakes, though that's the natural tendency when it doesn't turn on. We need to find a motion that does work with a smooth, simple raising or lowering motion. Appreciate your help.

I had the same 'issue' with the watch when I first have it. Then I watched a video on RUclips posted a year or two ago and the guy there said, for the feature to work, you have to first hold your wrist at horizontal level before doing the twist. And it has worked for me since then!
It's so nice that removable bands are becoming standard. The older models that have the antenna in the bands made for no customizability. Now, especially if you are a face designer, you can get bands that compliment your faces and/or outfit/situation.
Yes, ever since they figured out how to make ceramic cases rather than metal, suddenly the cases became transparent to radio waves. Next is to perfect waterproofing while maintaining heat dissipation under heavy 4G data load (like streaming video chat or RUclips). Only this S08 has mastered it so far.

This one if waterproofing is important (or actually the LEM14 if you like the S08). The PRIME 2 has an awesome camera, but not waterproof at all.

Well, Dene, even the TFT doesn't hack it very well outdoors compared to the Genesis screen. Guess I'm totally spoiled by that watch. I can see this one OK, but not in direct sun. Can't really tell if it's easier than an AMOLED screen watch, but on both you need to crank the brightness up full. Stick with a high contrast white on black watch face and you should do OK.

That needs to be activated through Accessibility settings which you can get to by installing the app Settings Search, or you can try "OK Google, open Accessibility settings", which works on some Android watches.

There are newer versions that use the same shell for waterproofing. Check out the LEM14 or Rogbod Brave Pro, for example.
As a lap swimmer I have been waiting for an ip68 full android smart watch and it's finally here!! I reeeeeaaaallly wish rollme would have included lap swimming in the fitness recording options though. I have not been able to find an app that can do this well! Still an awesome watch and development in the faw world. Praise be to Father Ticks for another amazing review.
Haha, I hope we see a lot more fully waterproof Android watches in the future. After the first one with removable bands, they all went to removable bands. Then 4G came and they all now offer 4G. So it makes sense the next generation will be waterproof. Now we need an upgrade on the software/firmware like you said.

I am in the U.S. and have Verizon. from your explanation it sounds like I would need to get an ATT or T-Mobile SIM. Do you know if I would need to purchase a data plan from them?

Do you have any idea what are two metal pins at the bottom of the charging dock? By size, it fits in the hole at the bottom of the watch for sim card compartment, but I'm not sure that is the purpose of pins. Can you check it please?

You'll love the underwater testing and YES, the screen still works to the touch (mostly) even wet after just pulling it out of water. Amazing! Earlier waterproof non-Android watches would just flip out when wet. They needed a software screen lock just to keep the watch from having a conniption fit (don't know if you're old enough to have heard that term). Well not this one. Try and hold both buttons down for a long time to restart the watch. If you can't uninstall the app, or the watch behaves bad, go to Settings and do a Factory Data Reset. For further help, as the tech team over here: www.fullandroidwatch.org

It should work, but I haven't tried it. Not sure if Strava interfaces with the pedometer, GPS, and heart rate sensor. Anybody know for sure? Perhaps a running blog would have folks who research this. Please let us know if you find out.
I have a few questions: 1) I see a bunch of Rogbid Brave watches on Amazon. Are they all the same watch? Or is there an entry-level, mid-level, high end? (it looks like all the same to me) 2) Can I install my own watch band? It looks like 22mm. What is the size? 3) I have youtube TV. Can I watch TV on this watch if I was so inclined and didn't care about a round screen? 4) My wife has an 8+ Samsung phone. Can I place a video call to her phone without downloading a third party software such as zoom? In other words, will the video phone feature work straight out of the box without any extra software? 5) Is the battery replaceable?

Yes, that's what I said. I'm pretty sure that's true on this one. Don't know how to tell other than comparing pictures from this one to a phone that has, say, a 8MP front camera (since they all have better back cameras). It's universal practice to upscale all camera module images. 2MP cameras measure 5MP image size (1920X2560) and 5MP cameras measure 8MP images (2448x3264). I have yet to see a true 8MP camera module on a smartwatch.

You should be able to do that in Settings. There's also third party apps you can install to increase font size. I covered those in the review of the Genesis smartwatch if you want to see how they work.

I would look for a smartwatch that projects a trackpad onto you. I feel that trackpad gestures are the way of the future. The ability to recognize multiple gestures at once might allow for console/PC quality games on a smartwatch.

Sounds like the battery quit working in the charging dock. I don't think it's repairable so you might want to order another one.

Yes, it will, but all these watches tend to get hot and run out of battery fast in hotspot mode. If you plan to do that often, I'd recommend the LEMFO LEM T or the Ticwris MAX as they have much bigger batteries and are larger to dissipate heat.

T-Mobile has a thing called "Digits" that's supposed to allow multiple devices with SIMs in them ring with the same number. You can check that out. Android 7 smartwatches don't support Bluetooth calling.

Not yet. I don't think it is on the market yet as none of us are getting them for review. The "Pro" version based on WearOS may not really exist. We'll have to wait and see.

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to test further than the unboxing level as I'm reviewing a new watch every 2 to 3 days. But when you get yours and do more detailed testing, we'd all love to hear your results. I totally rely on viewers like you to fill in the gaps I leave in my reviews. My purpose is to perk interest in a huge variety of wearables, as opposed to only reviewing the 'classic' models everybody else reviews over and over again.

Only a few Android 5.1 and 6 watches supported BT calling. I have an old, outdated spreadsheet at tinyurl.com/androidwatches that shows which models supported it. Nothing past Android 6 does though.

Hello sir! Just curious, are there any other brands of smart watch out there similar to rollme, rugbid brave, lemfo 12, and kospet prime with good functions such as 5m waterproof and cameras? Lemfo 12 and kospet prime isn’t really waterproof so yeah. mainly the rollme s08 and rogbid brave. I also checked out Thor pro but that’s a year old already and it’s not waterproof. I’m not talking about expensive brands like Samsung, garmin, apple, or fossils. You've pretty much nailed it. As for Android smartwatches, so far the S08 and Rugbid Brave have been the only ones to test as truly waterproof, so if that's your deciding factor, then these are the two watches (identical) to consider.

Thank you again sir! One more question about the ones with water proof. For rollme, rugbid, and lemfo. 1. Can you take pictures or record underwater? Of course I’m not gonna record or constantly take pictures for hours underwater.2. Rollme and rugbid have 5atm for 48hours, just curious.
Is the 48 hours the total amount of hours you can have underwater? Meaning for ex, if I go swimming 1 hour a day ( which I do on a daily basis), does it mean I can only swim for 48 days before water will immerse into the watch and be malfunctioned..Or does it just mean don’t leave it underwater for more than 48 hours at a time? Which usually wouldn’t be possible cause no ones gonna swim for that long unless if you lost the watch and it sinks underwater or if ure really stuck at sea...Thank you again! Very informative video. Great job. And I totally dig the watch.. I'm actually searching for the best watch to keep track of my blood pressure and heart rate. Have some health issues and if I have to much fluctuation in my blood pressure I end up with a migraine headache that is so bad i lose my vision and I feel like my eye balls are going to explode because of the pressure. Then I start to have seizures. Last time it happened was back on January 4th of this year. Last thing I remember was waking up up with the headache and being completely blind. Got my old lady to call the paramedics and after that I remember nothing at all except Christmas shopping in mid December . So this had been happening every 5-7 months for almost 3 years. So I woke up 3 days later in the icu at UCSF (University of California San Francisco. I live in Mendocino County witch is a good 3 and half drive so the medics had actually called a Cal Star helicopter to pick me up and 4 miles from my house in a big open field.. Sorry for the long story but I'm lookin for a watch that I can depend on for accurate blood pressure data. I've lost some noticeable cognitive abilitys and I need to be notified if I need to take a medication to stabilize my BP.. In your situation I would be demanding a calibrated medical device as your health depends on critical monitoring of your blood pressure. None of these devices are suited for that purpose. At best they can advise you that you might want to check yourself with calibrated equipment and call your medical support team immediately. These are toys. Simply that. They are by no means meant to address serious medical conditions. That being said, the closest to medical grade equipment is the Wellue like I have reviewed. If you can put your iPhone in WiFi hotspot, you should be able to connect this watch to your phone via WiFi and stream at cellular speeds to the watch using your cell data.

I have used LEMFO LEMX, LEMFO LEMT & ZEBLAZE THOR 5 PRO currently I cant charge all these Watches. All these type of smartwatches for me have the same problem. Currently noting is working.
It appears the batteries on these watches will stop recharging if left too long on empty. Sometimes I get them to come back by leaving them on a charger overnight. Some guys have reported success after leaving a watch in the refrigerator (not freezer!) for a half hour or so and then charging. If nothing works, then the battery is basically dead. They aren't easily replaceable in these watches either, so you (and me) are out of luck. The best practice is to try and keep the watch charged to between 20% and 80%, which is hard when you have a bunch of watches. Sorry, but it's a uniform issue with the battery technology at this stage in battery evolution. We seriously need new battery technology. Thanks for reporting it. Glad to know I am not alone.

Dear Mr ticks i love your reviews but sometimes im missing deeper app tests such as youtube loudspeaker test GPS accuracy i have bought Chinese watches who were very bad at these ..hopefully the 2nd part will cover this.
I've got some of that covered but not all of it. There's so very very much to fully test one of these watches. Thanks for your suggestions. BTW, how would you test GPS accuracy, and what would you measure against? I'm only able to see if it can lock to GPS or not and how long that takes.

Sir now I am totally confused after seeing the problems of this rollme s08 smartwatch. I have seen in a video that it get discharged just after 2 or 3 min but the battery was 63% . Sir pls test this smartwatch for a couple of days . So that we can get to know what's the problem with this smartwatch
All smartwatches take time to season so the battery level monitor matches the actual power in the battery. If you follow the procedures I set forth in the Android Smartwatch setup guide, including the appropriate checking for updates and Factory Data Restore procedures, then cycling the battery down to about 20%, charging to full, and draining again, and do this about 3 or 4 times without charging in-between, you'll probably have accurate readings and the battery will last as long as possible. Complaining about discharge first time after 3 or 4 hours is like complaining your new car gets only 5 miles per gallon without filling it up and draining it down and letting your engine get used to the gas. There's a 'break in' period for cars. Same is true for Android watches if you want to get the most out of them.

Yes, it does, a nanoSIM inserted under a cover in the back. In Part 2 I'll show you how to do it.

I've been using this gear for more than a year when surfing. It is ok in most sense but the GPS tracking isn't precise enough. And the speaker volume is little bit small when talking at the noisy beach. Plus Bluetooth connection often fails. Except these, satisfactory item
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, these watches are slowly improving, but aren't quite there yet. There are Android 10 versions of this S08 out now by various brand names, like the LEM14.

Is there a reason none of these companies sell on amazon? Would love the reliability of amazon’s delivery and returns.
Some of them do, but it takes a lot of work to set it up, and Amazon often rejects them (even Jason, a USA citizen with a USA registered company located in Shenzhen couldn't get a USA Amazon listing). So you just have to check each one and see. One thing for sure, the price will be considerably higher on Amazon, but you'll have Amazon's protection if you have any problems.

Have you watched the videos from ercan acar? His rollme has battery problems....and he shows vapor in the side camera.....online since less than an hour.....the first videos he was really excited and showed how it was in the pool for about an hour.....now he is really disappointed!
Yes, I've watched them now thanks to you and Gifted Fingers reporting. I've left a couple of related comments. I don't think we know enough yet, like how it got water in it after he did a 50 minute test at the bottom of a pool with no water intrusion. Something isn't adding up.

When I attach it by the usb cable on the lcd appear the charging screen and it's impossible activate the transfer files mode. Olso it's impossible to activate it by the "connect" menu because the "USB" option remain inactive also once the usb cable is connected!!

Sounds like dirty or defective wire. Check the pins and make sure the middle two are making contact.

Oh this one by far. That's just my opinion, mind you, but I think it's pretty much born out by the facts.
I kind of wish you hadn't hyped up the Genesis so much. It's taken so long to be delivered and my experience with the tracking of my package via Aramex has been horrific. Not the best choice of shipper. Also, it's not waterproof at all and you have featured a series of very waterproof android watch options lately. Is waterproofing a trend? I have a feeling the Genesis II will have waterproofing, if there is a successor.
Yea, it is as it is. No matter what watch was of the moment, from March to present shipping sucks. Nobody's gotten Kospet Primes who ordered them, or LEM12s, and I'm hearing about it like I should have warned during the video. Well, I do warn folks at the end of the Part 2 of theS08 review, publishing tomorrow, and I even show the exotic routing vendors are taking to get watches around China's restrictions, by staging them out of Saudi Arabia and other places. Honestly, I've never heard of Aramex. Sounds like a Mexican cartel delivery, but I'm sure it's legit. Anyway, I think we're all caught in Karma right now.
As for waterproofing, up until the S08, which, by the way, wasn't even on any of our radar screens until recently, well up until now I wouldn't suggest ever dunking an Android watch in water. I tried it once, if you check back in earlier videos, and fried one. I subsequently did a teardown and we identified on camera where they screwed up in sealing it with a piece of insulation sticking out over the seal. Swore I'd never dunk another one in water again. Until the S08. That's in tomorrow's video, too. Yes, a Genesis II and, in fact, ALL future Android smartwatches had better be solidly built to withstand swimming. Over the past few years we've seen them move from fixed bands to removable ones, from 3G to 4G LTE, and now it's only obvious fully waterproof is the next horizon. After that? Probably better cameras, much better GPS with GLONASS and others, and true health and fitness sensors for body temp., blood oxygen (after all, we live in a coronavirus world now), blood pressure, and yes, even sleep monitoring, which still isn't on Android watches.

But they are removable and easily replaceable. All antennas are folded into the watch case. You can carry this one in your pocket if you want.

It's not like an Apple watch, but more like an Android watch WiFi tethered to your phone.
I spoke to rollme on aliexpress and they told me that I should ask him to remove ercans video as it may have been a fault of the first 100 batch sent out to customers. I screen shotted our messages also
@@SWT I have been using the watch for about 2 weeks without a sim card and I have not used it to make phone calls or tested it for water proofing. Overall, the performance is satisfactory and no major issues as yet. However, I have a problem with the charging dock. I have used it a couple of times and it was fine. One day, I was charging the dock with the watch placed on it as well. When I went back to check later, I felt that the dock was fairly hot and I stopped the charging. After that, the dock stopped working - it could not charge by itself nor could it charge the watch. The charging lights were not there anymore. I reported this to my local online seller and they told me that they have to submit request to the supplier in Hong Kong to send a replacement. A week has passed and no news yet. I have also sent an email to the email addresses available at Rollme's web site telling of the problem and awaiting their response. I hope you can relay this problem to Rollme. I received the watch on 18th June - not sure if this is among the first 100 units though. Thanks!
