I’m from the Philippines and I know that Yu Jaesok is a popular host in South Korea. Objectively, Ryan Bang isn’t as famous as Yu Jaesok here. As a host, he’s more like Boom but he’s loved by Filipinos because he’s a Filipino at heart and he can speak Tagalog. I’m a bit sad that Ryan’s team lost but it’s undeniable that the Vietnam team is a tough competitor. I’ve been to Boracay so I’d love to visit Vietnam in the future. 😁

I'm Vietnamese and i gotta say that this is a perfect tour. i live right in Hanoi and those places are where we, teenagers go to every weekend. the sticky rice ''Xoi Yen'' is a very popular place among us. the cafe ''Xofa'' is also very very popular, the price is high but if you want nice photos and coffee you should go there, they have some great cocktails too. that trill rooftop is a place you must visit in the summer. it has awesome views and decorations, also very famous among Vietnamese. ''Lau'' is just amazing, can't describe it with words but it is amazing. we often have Lau at home too. once you know how to make Lau, there's no need to go to restaurants. Im currently studying abroad now so watching this makes me miss Hanoi so much T_T

Vietnam does become popular among Korean these days, it has appeared many times on the show
If you get the chance, try to visit Đà Lạt in Vietnam. The weather there is cooler than the rest of the country since it’s on the mountainside. Also Đà Lạt is known for its coffee, specifically civet coffee (which is expensive, they said it’s really good). The coffee there is cheap because they produce so much coffee beans, it’s also very rich in flavor. If you get to visit there, make sure to go to Thung Lũng Tình Yêu. It’s very beautiful there with many sceneries to take pictures. It’s a great place for couples or families to spend time together since it’s all about love :)

Filipinos pls stop being so salty when boracay lost. stop saying like oh they only win because it is cheaper, it look so basic, these mountains are not special, like can u just stop and enjoy or just dont bother wathcing at all if u guys will going to comment like this. I completely agree with you. Also there is a reason why Vietnam is featured so many times on these Battle Trips shows PLUS Vietnam has always won each and every time. Just because it's cheap doesnt mean it's bad quality- it only means that you can have fun without having to pay more.

Vietnamese food is the healthiest and one of the best in the world. Filipino food is way below Vietnam's standard. Filipino food is 3 out of 10 while Vietnamese food is 8.5 out of 10. No contest Vietnam is better when it comes to landscape, safety, culture and food. Phillippines wins in the beach category but that's it.

For me the Battle trip in Boracay Philippines is the winner. Everyhing showed here are just ordinary and somehow boring. The Boracay trip is fun and amazing and the nature, prestine white beach, sunset and the restaurant, delicious food is Spectacular!!!
Maybe if he choose to give them a trip that more suited with the theme, boracay would win.

Helicopter ride aside, the Ryan Bang tour has everything in it. Food, culture, history, adventure, NATURE and more so I'm really surprised they lost. I am judging this as a traveller who wants to get the best from my trip.

Why are the Filipino comments so salty here? It is just a show and random audience can pick whoever presented their case better. Everyone's taste is subjective. Personally my ultimate goal when I go on vacation is great food. In this respect, Vietnam for me is a better choice food wise but that is just for me. If I love Filipino food more, I would definitely go there instead.

Bc Vietnam is superior to PH in every way. From the culture, history, cuisine, beauty, intelligence, and discipline. PH is only richer than Vietnam because they were never embargoed heavily. Good thing it's been a fast 20 years and VN is catching up.

Vietnam is good coz it is cheaper than Philippines. Philippines is an expensive country in asia like Thailand too but has a lot to offer other than beaches. PH has many islands and getting plane tickets from one place to another is inconvenient and pricy for budget travelers. Even the travelers from US and EU complains how expensive the country is to travel lol but even if, they have memorable experiences here esp the free diving in Bohol, Cebu, and Palawan. Boracay is a world class beach and where you find party too at nights. If you love cities, go to Hanoi, it is also cheaper than any other asian country. Food is good there too and many cheap restaurants available! You experience there the temples and deep of their culture. I would love to visit there too one day! Been to Boracay twice, and Palawan too. Recomendable more is Puerto Princesa, El Nido and Coron Palawan. Love the nature trip there and free diving spots were amazing!
I've watched both ep of Hanoi and Boracay with Ryan but for me boracay episode is more interesting. This episode in Hanoi is kind of boring to me it's just ordinary places nothing especial on this trip. But yeah its less expensive.

Now I understood why Vietnam team won. It was becuz of guide. He really made sure that the tourists would enjoy the trip even when the theme wasn't of his taste.
While in Boracay the guide was just trying to belittle and mock the tourists.
Woman was wearing swimsuit and was led to climb hills and mountains in that outfit. Guide was totally aloof.
And the scenes where audience faces were shown were mostly women. Boracay got 86 votes even with having best locations and sites than shown in Vietnam segment (which got 91)

Philippines is much better than Vietnam when it comes to nature and food. Its more expensive but definitely worth it. It's more fun in the Philippines. Watching this video makes me bored.
much better food? in your dreams ! Filipino food is below average, fatty, greasy and salt or too sweet. Vietnamese food is a million miles better. Notice there's a lot more Filipinos in America than Vietnames but Vietnamese food and restaurant outnumber Filipino food 7-1. You can find Vietnamese food in small cities where it's even hard to find a Filipino food in a big city.

I've actually tasted filipino food and it's anything but healthy or special that's why no one even talks about filipino "cuisine" when they think of asian food lmao. Adobo is boring and sinigang is just bland and no depth of flavor. Lumpia is just a knock off Chinese egg roll. There's a reason why VN is considered one of the foodie destinations of the world.
The bald guy was missing the point. Instead of having a relaxing spontaneous trip, he spent hours and hours to turn the trip into a nightmare. The girl said she wanted Vietnam beer, so he bought beer, who know what he did to the beer after he bought it. The girls want to try Viet local food, he challenge them with cooking class then make them eat it. Man, I'd rather eat hamburger here in the US. What a surprise! He thinks to much, no wonder he got ....!
