I wish there was a guy like you but more into prog/death/metal core stuff. I need 5 minute tones for stuff like Between the Buried and Me, Obscura, and Fall of Ideals era All that Remains.

Nice moves on tweaking the Bogner! I always felt there was a low-mid bloom on the Shivas that I’ve tried. The tip about the treble knob is awesome.

I don't think there Euro Red Modern is based on a newer Ecstasy, the blue and red channels on the XTC models just have a Vintage/Modern switch and it has modern set

I get what he was trying to do: go back to his brighter, earlier tone. He has a *lot* of stuff to cut through on that Toto stage.
Oh yea it is super deep sounding! But with a mesa amount of gain! I'm gonna have to find the pod go's version to mess around with. Killer demo as always Leon 🙏

Another great video. There have been a lot of changes to the 5150 Block of amps. Maybe a new video with the block letter or 6505 and a couple of the new drives, Klon, Precision drive etc?

Yes the gain lowered is a great point have try the presence reduction.
I also bump a little 800 Hz with the Pre EQ off course with headphones you have to change all the rules.
Also with the FM 9 I like adding a second amp the Legend 11 in combo with this is friggin awesome.

Question what studio monitors do you use when you record your show?
I own the 101b head with the 2x12 oversized cabinet and it sounds absolutely incredible even at very low volume. Best channel for me is the clean channel. Absolutely beautiful tone-it has this special kind of sweetnes that I totally love 😉
