I felt the same 😅 But a few months or years later, the read book seems like UNREAD. So I think the annotations and the tabs could best relive my memories of the book content.
Me too. I’m starting with a nonfiction book that I’m not attached to but interested in. I also wrote a little note to myself so I can look back on it and remember that it’s just my beginning
When I see a book that looks like it's been used so much it makes me want to read it ! I love seeing annotated books. Probably a gold mine of insights written on those pages
For all the people that are saying I'm too scared to mutilate the book with highlighting etc, remember what a book is for. It's for learning knowledge. It's not a piece of art. If you are retaining more knowledge from the book by highlighting it, it's a good thing. Besides when you put the book back in your bookshelf, it looks exactly the same. I saw this comment on another RUclips video, and it changed my reading life forever. Now, I buy books to annotate. Try it-it's just a bunch of papers. You can always buy a new copy if you don't like it.
yes!!! besides, i’m sure writers (me included, though i do not plan to publish anything lol) would love to have their books annotated, it shows that this book truly meant something to the reader, the book evoked thoughts & feelings into their mind. it’s the same as decorating the back of an ipad, the cover of a notebook, or the insides of a computer. it makes it personal, and unique, and beautiful
I understand the need to annotate to "have a conversation with your thoughts", but damn. I also heard someone say if you highlighted everything yellow, it is just a book with a yellow background. lol
I always start then never finish annotating throughout the book as a mama of 5 I just don't have the time to read let alone annotate how I like. I'm lucky to ready 1 or 2 books a week. Speed reading and listening on spotify/audible when cleaning etc. 😢
I wish that one day I get to read one of these sort of perfectly anotated books😍 I've been reading books seens I was just 6 till now (25) yet never was able to do so the fear of ruining the book specialy once you do it for first time and then you don't like it at the end... uh I love it when people do it but idk how to myself
This is what my biology books looks like after reafing them for past 4 yrs But i always find something new when i read them again ! I hope i dont have ti read them again for 2 months , give i want new books and new knowledge 😢 so so eagerly waiting for those wholesome books and the whole new vibe TOUCH WOOD ❤
I just stumbled upon your channel have been loving your videos!! I am so curious about how you go about annotating your books... I want to start doing this too, but don’t know how to start. I’m sure I’m not the only one interested. Maybe you can create a video for us!?! 😊
I am genuinely curious of why people write in the books? Like I read them and that’s it but always seen people write notes in them and never understood or dared to ask why.
For me its because I like to take a brief look at the books i have already read. This way i can see what i thought about it or find my favourite parts more easily. Its also helpful to keep track of subtler topics. Furthermore i love it when i buy used books and can see some of the thoughts of the previous owner. It almost feels like a little special mini book club. But tbh i am also curious why people do not write in their books. Is it just because we are tought as children not to?
It can also make you not want to read anymore. It becomes overwhelming. it’s more like a teacher grading a book. Need to stop every chapter and it’s hard to get back into what you reading. Don’t do this if you are beginning a reading journey. Just read. 💜
I didn’t wanna write in the books I rly rly rly liked so I js kinda started annotating on these mid school book fair ya books and I think maybe I’ll be able to write on an actual book one day :)
I physically cannot make myself stop reading to write my thoughts down. I CANT DO IT 😭. I’m so feral I just rip through the pages like a starving child that knows that if I turn the page there will be food for me there. I read a book a day because I don’t have to self control to stop 😂 Once the book has been opened it cannot be closed until it is finished.
Hi, I really want to start annotating the books that I read but all the highlighters (mildliner, tombow brush pen) that I have tried bleed onto the next page. I think it has something to do with the quality of the paper. Is there any solution to this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
I love this, it looks awesome. And im not saying this from a place of hate.. which is.. i think over-annotation is not actually functional but mere aesthetical. Because it is redundant and annotation supposed to annotate only really really important stuff.. and I personally (but you do you) think not everything should nor worth being annotated for. Over-annotation also quite possibly relates to maximal consumerism because of how much it uses unnecessary amount of resources. If you annotate quite literally from front to back... then... The whole book is important which defeats the point of annotation which is to annotate only imporant stuff. Just my two cents tho, but again.. you do you - i do me because at the end of the day.. it all boils down to preferences
¿Qué sentido tiene leer si no es divertido? Colorea tu libro, arranca una hoja si quieres, agrega información extra, tachalo, subraya lo que te gusté, etc. No sólo lo leas y ya, vívelo.
Why are you sabotaging these books? there’s someone are in more need of them than you, go draw or art instead of this time waste, do you even read these books?
Annotating books isn’t wrecking them? It’s connecting deeper into your book, for me annotating, I mark my favourite pages and highlight my favourite quotes or ‘important’ parts, drawing can be like sketching what you see, annotating is fun
I don't have the courage to write on my books😅
Same. I’m too scared; my books are my babies.
I agree with the sentiment that’s why when I do it it’s something that’s gotta be absolutely worth it 😂
That’s why I write on the post it notes
I felt the same 😅 But a few months or years later, the read book seems like UNREAD. So I think the annotations and the tabs could best relive my memories of the book content.

Same. If I have the option between an annotated and non-annotated option at a used bookstore, I’ll always buy the annotated one!
I find that there is nothing more stunning and aesthetically pleasing than a deeply annotated novel ❤📚

yeaaaaa i just started!!!!
It looks so nice! I want to try annotating my books but I also love keeping my books in pristine condition
SAME usually I read the book and if I want to annotate I reread it
And here I thought mine was too much. Thank you, this made me less terrified of putting more annotations
Nothing is more pleasing than this
I love annotating my books.....

I Love Them...Started my First Annotated book yesterday 🎉
I understand the need to annotate to "have a conversation with your thoughts", but damn. I also heard someone say if you highlighted everything yellow, it is just a book with a yellow background. lol
Looooove 😍 I want to start annotating my books!
So clean omg
I love the sound it’s so good
The small one that shows when you close the book
I like writing in a notepad/notebook to react to a book!
Omg, your annotations are so pretty. Meanwhile my annotations look like a child scribbled in my book 😂
I always start then never finish annotating throughout the book as a mama of 5 I just don't have the time to read let alone annotate how I like. I'm lucky to ready 1 or 2 books a week. Speed reading and listening on spotify/audible when cleaning etc. 😢
So pretty!!
Love this!!!!!
I tried writing in my books not long ago. And now I can remember all the things in such books. I feel these books yo be alive❤❤❤

Hated having to annotate for school but love the leisure of doing it on my own whenever I want!! ❤
Beautiful ❤

Omg wow 😍🥰😭
I’ve just started annotating and I wish for my books to look like this by the time 2026 comes.
This is so beautiful. 💕
Next level textbook

Wow! You analice very well all your books, I would like to know what you write on them 😊
Oh god this is the best book video I have ever seen !!
Can we please have a video of u doing annotations 🤧👉👈
I could literally NEVER write in my books I cherish every book I get
Ive got tons to say and mark just using my kindle, wouldve been chaotic to see them transferred on a physical book 😂
WOW❤😊😊
I can't do this I swear I'll get a heart attack each time a piece of water touches my book
It can also make you not want to read anymore. It becomes overwhelming. it’s more like a teacher grading a book. Need to stop every chapter and it’s hard to get back into what you reading.
Don’t do this if you are beginning a reading journey. Just read. 💜
Where did u get your book tabs? They look so pretty
The asmr of the notes sticking out 😱
Very nice 🙂
How lovely! Do you notice if these tab colors fade/peel away? I notice the Post-It tabs fade over time when I use them for annotation 😣
Page mates 😍for Annotations 💖good for study hacks✨
very useful thanks
I didn’t wanna write in the books I rly rly rly liked so I js kinda started annotating on these mid school book fair ya books and I think maybe I’ll be able to write on an actual book one day :)
I write on the sticky note part.
this is annotating goals
I physically cannot make myself stop reading to write my thoughts down. I CANT DO IT 😭. Annotate after😊
Oh wow that's crazy how we own the same things! Haha!😅
Tabs are ok because you can remove them but writing in books makes me die inside.
do you have a video of the books you have annotated ??
just curious, how often do you go back and read all of those annotations?
Is the heavily annotated book Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow?
I tried annotating and i messed up that one line and never wrote on books again 😭
Goals❤
No we don't keep books any more the space they take up the cleaning AKA dusting them looks pretty n the sound is nice but no .CS
Where are the stick notes from?
Are these your course books? Love your videos, very aesthetically pleasing.
Love from India
Someone who's as much of an information processor and collater as me!
okay, but I'll ask the question that never seems to get answered... HOW DO YOU PUT THEM ON BOOKSHELVES?!
I put it in my Bible and it was the best thing I ever did
when u annotate your books after having read them are u re-reading them or just skimming

How do you read the texts that are hidden by your sticky notes though?
❤📚
What are the books?
Sometimes i do write on my books that i want to keep until i getting old so my child know whats their mom favorite books
Do sticky tabs take off the ink when removed?
Me but with scriptures
Ruben sobey what you said is so right
What's your favorite annotated book and why?
Just found you here and on yt❤
💚🖤
How do you read the actual book
I love this, it looks awesome. And im not saying this from a place of hate.. which is.. i think over-annotation is not actually functional but mere aesthetical. Is that a Jiji notepad? ❤❤❤❤
whats the song name?
I have a question. Can you take book tabs off easily?
Yes, you can - they are like little versions of Post It notes.
real
I cannot annotate for the life of me😭🙏
Should I do this with my shatter me series ?
Υπερβολή.
Really ?
¿Qué sentido tiene leer si no es divertido? Colorea tu libro, arranca una hoja si quieres, agrega información extra, tachalo, subraya lo que te gusté, etc. No sólo lo leas y ya, vívelo.
I can tolerate annotations but upto a certain level..... don't like too much of them
some of those are WAYY too extra…you practically tabbed every other page.
If she felt to do it why not? :) It's her style...Let's accept her way of enjoy reading :)
R8eieieoe
...why would anyone want to do this?
To dig deeper in the book, it’s really fun
Why are you sabotaging these books? there’s someone are in more need of them than you, go draw or art instead of this time waste, do you even read these books?

I hate the sound
