this video is VERY HEALING for someone trying to heal themselves, ive had multiple injuries and its very personal matter and this info makes me feel empowered, thats amazingly, also when i do keto i feel clear headed
I am trying the diet for toxic encephalopathy and after 2 months of strict ketosis I am seeing some results. I will keep adhering to the diet for next year and reasses. thank you for the information
Ischemic brainstem stroke survivor... the keto diet immensely improved my quality of life 6 years post stroke. I went from having a wide variety of impaired motor functions including difficulty with walking... to regaining near full mobility and body function... even running a sub 6 minute mile again... so for those considering this... it worked for me... it could work for you.
Keto Jesus awesome man!! I’m doing Keto to help with my post concussion syndrome. It’s been helping a lot, I’m feeling much better and more confident about my recovery. I sustained the concussion 9 months ago
Johny Grigg Sorry to hear that but here’s what you NEED to do: lots a fish oil. Get the best quality fish oil, Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega. I get the 180 count on eBay for about $40. The EPA in it will reduce inflammation, increase blood flow in your brain. The DHA actually builds new neurons. I take 20 capsules of this fish oil per day. This is paramount that you start the fish oil immediately. I wish I knew this when I was first injured. Also, you need Magnesium. Get a high quality supplement. Your brain magnesium levels drop drastically after a TBI. Keto diet is also a big one because carbohydrates actually reduce blood flow in your brain by 40%. Also, your brain needs more energy, but can’t utilize glucose effectively when you have a TBI, so Keto is very important. Keto will reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, and will power your mitochondria in the cells. Some other supplements I take are Selenium, Vitamin E, Alpha GPC, N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC), Pine Bark extract and Turmeric. Out of everything, it’s the fish oil and Keto that helps the most. Sugar and carbohydrates make things much worse, I can actually feel the inflammation from carbs because I can feel the brain fog and headaches and so on.
Johny Grigg To answer your question, I’m much better but still healing. If you start the Nordic Naturals fish oil and Keto immediately, you will have a much better outcome. My doctors were unable to help me so I researched for months and months and this is the information that I have found and it’s helped me immensely
Atkins died of a head injury, not a heart attack. I’m sure others have commented already on this. Atkins is a high fat, moderate protein diet. LOTS of misinformation out there.
thank you so much. about a year after my AVM rupture i started to notice metabolic issues. thanks to the internet I was able to find the ketogenic diet and this video helps summarize the last 5 months of my life!
Thank you so much for this video presentation Dr John. Really broke down and delivered the information well there, I’m suffering from severe head pains, burning sensations around the forehead and behind the eye balls and reduced fluid thought and cognitive function. Do you recommend using this diet in conjunction with HBOT 90? I keep my cardio vascular fitness in check and have begun dabbling with meditation and yoga. Are there any other adjunct therapies you would recommend to assist in recovery?
Thanks for the video doc! This video should have more views. I work at a SNF with a sub acute wing. I see a bunch a pts in coma due to hypoxia. I checked out the gvtube formula they are given and it’s about 50% carbs or more. Are these the pts that might benefit from. Ketogenic formula or exogenous ketones to jump start their brain. I know I can’t change anything right away. I’m just wondering. I’m very curious about this subject.
Incase someone else’s comes across the video, Atkins did not die from a heart attack. He slipped on ice and cracked his skull.

You lost me when you said Atkins die from a heart attack. He died when he fell on ice.
This is a nice way to break down complex processes into understandable metaphors. Thank you!
I really want to listen, but since my injury the clicking is a no go. #irony

Thank you for the webinar. I do need to point out that Robert Atkins died of complications from a head injury - not cardiovascular disease.
So I would assume carnivore is even more therapeutic for TBI. It is, believe, the natural human diet
If you live in a place like the tropics or have no animals to hunt, the most natural thing is to eat some plants.
My tbi was a hemorrhagic stroke

KTO360 from Designs for Health would be a good keto formula with lots of good fats along with the Perfect Amino Meal from BodyHealth
Any evidence that Keto could help with brain injury from Benzodiazepines? Great lecture.
You need carbs in your diet, keto is not sustainable. That's why I tried the *Agoge diet* and it worked great for me.
No u dont, yes it is.
Damn spam.
