I would love nothing more than to have that bot parked at Joaquin Phoenix's house, have it ring the door bell and go FRIENDS....FOR-EVER and awkwardly follow him the remainder of his career.
I always loved this scene, but they cut the dramatic music just a little too quickly. It could have had more impact if they let it go a second or two more.
Probably because even with their "technology" in this universe, it's still a robot, yea, he saved the day, but as far as they know next thing he's going to do is turn it into a Challenger incident.
Oh man I remember this. When I was a kid someone tried to record this on tape for me but the tape cut out as they were carrying the robot away. so for years I never knew if they were going to figure out that the kids were calling them through Morse code.
No he said Morse Code. As in, one of the first ways of man to communicate over long distances besides smoke signals or lighting fires on top of mountains in the middle of nowhere. Look it up...I almost feel embarrassed for you.
One of the best moments in cinema history.
100%
Your mind is really small.
I remember watching this as a kid. What a great movie!
“Brian and Jinx are friends!”
Love the Family Guy parody lol
JINX PUT MAX IN SPACE. JINX CAN GET MAX BACK.
"JInx, I'm treatin' you to a can of oil!"
Until he finds out Jinx simulated the thermal curtain failure that caused the whole problem to begin with. Then Jinx is an ashtray.
This AI was impressive for the early 1980s.
Its 1986, hardly early 80s.
@@campfortson4387 Dude. Give it a rest and enjoy the movie. This was real, very, very little CGI, they kicked ass.
Brian and Jinx are friends.
Get that out of here! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@hectorrodriguez6601 Timeless scene!

Funny he calls the tech over to translate the code, when jinx spotted it first and translated.
Jinx didn't get the respect he deserved
That "DAMN!" tho
"Jinx and Max friends forever" .... "Get that thing out of here, get security!!"
"I'm Chris Hansen... Jinx, why don't you have a seat?"
Go ahead, just take a seat.....

2022 and Jinx is still waiting for that can of oil. We can now call him Junx
Still holds up, I don’t give a F*#%!!!
Why would you not keep him there to translate? He obviously can do it faster than a human having to look at a table all the time.
I don't know, but I think some old Navy veterans could compete.

Morse operators actually learn how to translate without needing a piece of paper.

**⊙_⊙ WHAT THE HECK THE ROBOT LOOKS LIT**
LOVE THIS MOVIE!
"Come in, control"
Yeah you better give him oil after that
YO, MAX!

2 years later... Actually, I always thought he was saying Misses Code, like he was getting Morse Code wrong, which I still think is funny!
Max's code
