I just wanted to stress how great of a friend Doyoung is. Whenever holidays come or any special occasions, he always bring the foreigner members (mostly Yuta, Ten, Mark and Johnny) to his home bcs he didnt want them to spend holidays alone. That's why johnny have mentioned about him and Gongmyung being close. Aside from Taeyong, Doyoung also learned Japanese bcs Yuta said he doesnt have anyone to speak using his native language so Doyoung told him he can speak to him in Japanese and so Doyoung studied hard in japanese. He treats the younger ones (jeno, jaemin, haechan and jisung in smrookies) like his real brothers and often bring them out to play with them.
Your comment made me tear up right after I recovered from the video! I love how caring Doyoung is despite how everyone on the outside (who doesn't know him well) might see him as rude. He's actually one of the most caring and thoughtful of the members who's always looking after the group in many ways.

This goes to show that even though we get to see so many of their interactions and vulnerable moments through a screen, there are still so many things we don't know about them; just as it should be. By agreeing to be idols, they agreed to expose to many things that would otherwise be personal, yet it somehow comforts me that part of their bond as a group will always be just theirs. It's just as Doyoung said, "visible happenings and invisible emotions." We will never really understand the meaning behind the shared hugs and tears and vulnerable moments between the members, no matter how many people try to analyze it. Those moments will always be theirs and that's the beauty of it.

Now I don’t know what Taeyong isn’t good at. He’s honestly the kindest, most caring leader I see out there. He is not only amazing and talented at dancing, rapping and even has nice vocals, but has a great understanding of music and especially the best charisma and strongest stage presences. I think he's just expressing how long they've been together since debut. But it could mean other things too like maybe he isn't as close to him now so he doesn't call him Donghyuck as much, or maybe he just got attached to the name Haechan since it's more bright and fun. Honestly it can mean anything, not enough context😂

The fact that Doyoung always gets emotional when Taeyong tells his feeling to him, or that Haechan cringes when he listens to Mark's compliments, makes me realize that they probably have the strongest friendship among the members. Mainly because this reluctance they seem to have towards telling their deepest feelings to each other, and the urge to remain showing this "cool" and calm image, reminds me of a psychological fact which says that when a person seems to be careless about something is when they care the most. Also, this "Tom and Jerry" relationship these couples have (DoTae/MarkHyuck) implies that even though they are completely different, they understand and cope with those differences because they love each other. It is said that love means stepping back so the other can be, and to me that is the realest love can get.
if people actually care more about doyoung as himself and paid attention to the member's message to him during interviews or fansigns, they'll realised, every member always said how considerate he is, he always thinking about others more than himself, help other member, so kind, and have warm heart. he always treated other member without thinking much about it. if only i'm better at video editing you could get a long video of other member praise him and feel grateful about it. but people don't highlight that part of him and make more video of him being teased or savage, when the only reason he getting teased is because he is so kind, and the member know he wont really angry about that, he just reacted cutely. so yeaahh this frustrate me sooo much because not all people could see how precious this boy is
I'm korean nctizen and surprised that international fans didnt highlight this side of Doyoung, cause in K fandom this is the main reason why we love him. Everytime he appeared on Nct's Night Night radio as guest (Do! Digest), we've always got SO emotional with every words he said and we even made analects of DY lol. He's so pure, considerate and warm hearted.

i feel like doyoung and mark have this really simple yet complicated relationship as they've grown up together from being trainees to experienced idols. back during rookie and debut days, doyoung had so much physical affection and doting onto mark and even said he wanted to name his kids "minhyung or minyoung" because he adores mark so much.through the years, we see doyoung still hugging him and taking care of him in his own way, but there is definitely a lot less smothering and a lot of people kind of disregard their friendship. however, doyoung always always has this very intense empathy where he notices the little details about everyone and i think he noticed mark's kind of apathy to so much affection as he grew up and found his own place and confidence in himself through time, so doyoung backed up a bit, especially as more outwardly emotional member joined the team like jungwoo where he could take care of them more outwardly. i've noticed this a lot with doyoung's care for the younger members like jeno and jaemin and the rest of the dreamies, but this translated to mark, winwin, and even jaehyun. doyoung used to really want a younger sister to dote on, and he really channeled this energy toward the younger (and older members). i think his personality is a caretaker, but he seems to have matured emotionally a lot and understands that sometimes just being understood and being there for someone is exactly the guidance someone would want. that's why i think his comments towards mark are especially thoughtful as he knows they might have differing opinions and not match up 100% but he is so glad for the experience to know him, to reassure him he is first and foremost, a good and special person, and that he will always be there for him. there is no one like doyoung, because he too, is a special person and im so thankful for being able to know him.
I get what he means about them being different about their likes and dislikes because clearly mark has other members that has similar interests with him like Jaehyun and Johnny which appears to be the closer hyungs to Mark than him. But Doyoung implying that they don't need to have similar interests to like each other and he likes Mark just the way he is and that he is precious to him is just what Mark needed to hear. Mark got emotional for a person who rarely shows his emotions just goes to show how deep Doyoung's message was.

Taeyong out of all people had it worst. He have tasted the cruelty and bitterness of the entertainment industry but I am so glad that he have Doyoung and the others by his side who never judged him. These people who show not only support and care but also love for him. He deserves to be happy as much as everyone else. I really hope Taeyong will only have good things from this moment on. I agree that Taeyong has dealt w a lot of industry bullshit but I wouldn't say he's had it *that* much worse than the guys. They are, after all, a unit. @@neo_phoria i can totally relate. a lot of my friends and family say the same things to me and it is burdensome; a negative environment that we didn't choose but cannot remove ourselves from easily (especially when it comes to family). all i can offer in advice is to challenge their beliefs. ask them to think introspectively. maybe if they are open enough they will soon be able to understand you. i am lucky that i have a singular shining light in my life: my mother. she never judges who i am as a person; always loving, respecting, and nurturing me with unending love. a true and beautiful mother, but not a person without flaws which is another reason i have come to appreciate her so much.

yeah, you could definitely see there is something that has been playing on his mind for a long time.. maybe their personalities clash a bit and, as a result, they've stuggled to find common ground and understand each other. i think being so young plays into it. they still have so much learning and growing up to do. hopefully, these videos might be a turning point for them. they won't change overnight, but maybe it will start cogs ticking and things will start slowly shifting into place. that is what growing up is all about, after all.
personally I think rather than him thinking he did something wrong to Mark he thinks because of their situation where they are constantly together it is inevitable that mistakes could have been made, so he wanted to tell Mark that if he has ever done such a thing he wants to apologize. This video is just a reminder for the people who sometimes forgot that idols are real humans after all, they have concerns, insecurities and feelings. The korean industry normalize giving characters to each idols, so it's even harder to identify who's that person you follow and support closely, but it's still there, and there's no reason to make their live even heavier throwing hate out of nowhere and criticizing in a rude way. I always think about my idols as real people after all, who have dreams and it's the reason of why they're always working this hard and why they've sacrifice this much of their lifes.
Dotae's friendship is really so pure, like the way they always care for each other, Doyoung always telling Taeyong to be careful and Taeyong always making sure Doyoung has everything he needs, their constant bickering and under all that their love and respect for each other... I just wanted to stress how great of a friend Doyoung is. Whenever holidays come or any special occasions, he always bring the foreigner members (mostly Yuta, Ten, Mark and Johnny) to his home bcs he didnt want them to spend holidays alone. That's why johnny have mentioned about him and Gongmyung being close. Aside from Taeyong, Doyoung also learned Japanese bcs Yuta said he doesnt have anyone to speak using his native language so Doyoung told him he can speak to him in Japanese and so Doyoung studied hard in japanese. He treats the younger ones (jeno, jaemin, haechan and jisung in smrookies) like his real brothers and often bring them out to play with them.

This goes to show that even though we get to see so many of their interactions and vulnerable moments through a screen, there are still so many things we don't know about them; just as it should be. By agreeing to be idols, they agreed to expose to many things that would otherwise be personal, yet it somehow comforts me that part of their bond as a group will always be just theirs. It's just as Doyoung said, "visible happenings and invisible emotions." We will never really understand the meaning behind the shared hugs and tears and vulnerable moments between the members, no matter how many people try to analyze it. The fact that Doyoung always gets emotional when Taeyong tells his feeling to him, or that Haechan cringes when he listens to Mark's compliments, makes me realize that they probably have the strongest friendship among the members. Mainly because this reluctance they seem to have towards telling their deepest feelings to each other, and the urge to remain showing this "cool" and calm image, reminds me of a psychological fact which says that when a person seems to be careless about something is when they care the most. Also, this "Tom and Jerry" relationship these couples have (DoTae/MarkHyuck) implies that even though they are completely different, they understand and cope with those differences because they love each other. It is said that love means stepping back so the other can be, and to me that is the realest love can get.

i feel like doyoung and mark have this really simple yet complicated relationship as they've grown up together from being trainees to experienced idols. back during rookie and debut days, doyoung had so much physical affection and doting onto mark and even said he wanted to name his kids "minhyung or minyoung" because he adores mark so much.through the years, we see doyoung still hugging him and taking care of him in his own way, but there is definitely a lot less smothering and a lot of people kind of disregard their friendship. however, doyoung always always has this very intense empathy where he notices the little details about everyone and i think he noticed mark's kind of apathy to so much affection as he grew up and found his own place and confidence in himself through time, so doyoung backed up a bit, especially as more outwardly emotional member joined the team like jungwoo where he could take care of them more outwardly.
i've noticed this a lot with doyoung's care for the younger members like jeno and jaemin and the rest of the dreamies, but this translated to mark, winwin, and even jaehyun. doyoung used to really want a younger sister to dote on, and he really channeled this energy toward the younger (and older members). i think his personality is a caretaker, but he seems to have matured emotionally a lot and understands that sometimes just being understood and being there for someone is exactly the guidance someone would want. that's why i think his comments towards mark are especially thoughtful as he knows they might have differing opinions and not match up 100% but he is so glad for the experience to know him, to reassure him he is first and foremost, a good and special person, and that he will always be there for him. there is no one like doyoung, because he too, is a special person and im so thankful for being able to know him.

I get what he means about them being different about their likes and dislikes because clearly mark has other members that has similar interests with him like Jaehyun and Johnny which appears to be the closer hyungs to Mark than him. yeah, you could definitely see there is something that has been playing on his mind for a long time.. maybe their personalities clash a bit and, as a result, they've stuggled to find common ground and understand each other. i think being so young plays into it. they still have so much learning and growing up to do.
hopefully, these videos might be a turning point for them. they won't change overnight, but maybe it will start cogs ticking and things will start slowly shifting into place. that is what growing up is all about, after all.
