Alcaraz's forehand technique is so similar to Roger Federers to the take back, the straight arm at contact and the follow through.
Whilst you should never copy someones technique, Roger and Carlos's FH technique is ultra optimal.
    Great tips as always Ryan👍

    1. Racket moves from High to low and back up high.
    2. Racket will be in Continuous motion-the Racket never stops.
    3. Closed racket face with drop.
    4. Non hitting hand moves up and across-should be visible above shoulder from back fence.
    5. Catch the racket with the non hitting hand over the shoulder.

Raising the left arm prevents the player to over rotate. By raising the left hand he is stopping the left shoulder which derives in a concentration of energy on the right side. Uncoiling is a tricky concept because it can produce over rotation and also forget that the key to hit a powerful stroke is to accelerate the hitting arm.

I used to have this problem, fixed it with above suggestion. Sometimes though I overrate by pivoting off the left leg so as I swing the racket forward my right leg is moving forward prior to contact and I end up turned 45 degrees to the left net post. I try to resist moving back leg until after contact occurs now.

@@topspin1715 At the end of the day, it's physics, the key is to transfer energy forward and the best way to do it is by accelerating the right side of the body while keeping resistance at the left side (as you describe). The right leg will move as a consequence of the energy going forward and to the left after the contact.

Thank you, coach! If a player has a tendency to pause at low position (especially when the incoming ball is slower than anticipated), can you please suggest any corrective mechanism?

Amazing content as always! Do you have any drills, Coach Reidy, on how to train the non-dominant arm to lift up? Mine doesnt stay down but just folds in against my torso. How do I change the habit?

I struggle with the continuous swing part because sometimes my opponents dont hit so hard. I end up taking my racket back early and pausing at the pre lag position. What can i do
