Gotta say, your showcase of the Gunlance and CB was by far my favorite of the multiple videos covering the game! Very informative and fun to watch seeing you guys just gushing over a fun looking game!
Ruri you're my favorite mh content creator and on my top 5 of content creators of any kind. I'm so glad you got to have this experience. I've been playing monster hunter since first saw it on psp back in the day and never tried gunlance until I saw your videos. Switching to gunlance revitalized my lice for the series and got trying every weapon again to see what I found fun that I didn't give a second look at for a decade.
I'm happy for you and can see your happiness in this video! I'm looking forward to this next chapter in Monster Hunter and following you along the way. I can't wait to watch your videos drop for the next couple of years. And hopefully into the next "Icebourne" expansion in Wilds after that.
This makes me so happy to hear. Ive seen the hard work you've put into your channel for quite a few years now and you've put in a TON of hard work. People tend to think of all content creators having this kind of experience regularly when it's actually something very special for anyone to gain recognition from their beloved dev team. I bet most people think of your channel as one of the biggest (and best) monster hunter channels, probably assuming this kind of experience is common for you, but your lived experience makes you humble and you seem to view your channel as smaller. I literally cannot imagine how surreal this must've been for you and I'm super happy for you that you got this very well deserved experience. I can tell from this video how much the experience meant to you and I look forward to your continued success. Eagerly awaiting your coming videos on monster hunter wilds and any other game you cover as our tastes in video games are extremely similar

I think it's really cute that Tokuda-san not only recognized you, but wanted to see you play the game. It shows to me, that he really wants to make a game that people enjoy. That he's at the very least aware of the community, i think that's great! And I'd have the same reactions as you if I were in your shoes!
Thank you for everything you do Ruri. This Monster Hunter will be my first Day 1 Monster Hunter (I only played Rise when it released on PC), so being with you and all the CC's on this Wild (hehe) ride, is amazing. This will be a release to remember

The entire Rurikhan's Gamescom experience can be summarized as a boy realizing his crush likes him back lol happy for you man. hearing your story about meeting the directors puts a smile on my face
Rurikhan - been following you since the early World days. You’re the reason why I got into Gunlance in the first place (Hope Wilds is better with Charged Shelling playstyle!). I’m feeling it man…I’m feeling the Wilds hype.
talking about the 10 hr wait, it really wasnt that bad. at the end point of the queue, at which some friends and i entered, the estimate was 8 hrs. the actual time spent waiting was about 4 1/2 hrs to 5 hrs, which is a lot better than some other wait times ive had at gamescom in previous years (smash ultimate and pokemon sword and shield come to mind with actual 8+ hrs). The bigger issue was people trying to sneak further into the queue. I catched 4 people (2 groups of 2 tbf) sneaking in at around the 2 hour mark. my friend simply "notified" the first group that they entered at the wrong spot, to which they replied with a sarcastic thank you, only to try it again at a spot a bit further behind, where they got reprimanded again and then yet another time after some more time had passed. The third time they did that and got caught they did just end up leaving tho from what i noticed. The other group tried to enter at the same spot shortly after my friend caught the first group (and i believe they noticed it and still tried to sneak in). I just said to my friend that i would bust them once we get further in where the staff actually is. Did just that, once we got into the inner rings, I "consulted" with the group that was actually behind us, "making sure" that the other guys sneaked in and then notified staff. To some degree i felt bad wasting the time of those guys, especially since those guys mightve actually been unaware (even though that seems *highly* unlikely to me) and ended up going back to the actual start of the queue, but i just got annoyed at the amount of people trying to steal the spot from someone else. Regardless, appreciate the fact that Ruri didnt try to "abuse" his streamer rights
I have a question out of curiosity because sadly I've never been at Gamescom. How did the queue look like? Could you reserve the spot e.g when you needed to go to the toilet or just wanted to have some at Gamescom? It's easy if you were with friends, but what if someone went alone?
@@Seku312 technically there isnt anything to reserve your spot, but you can always just talk to the people in front and behind you (or maybe staff) to let them know that you need to leave for a short bit. Its not ideal, but ive never seen someone who couldnt get back in. Obviously you shouldnt leave when there is only a bit of the queue left, otherwise no one who knew about ur position might be left. What sounds even crazier is leaving an item at ur spot but as long as you dont do that on the outer part where someone could just take it, that works as well. In the end, its not like anyone would want to intentionally fck u over as long as you dont try to bypass the rules.
I want to give a big shout-out to Jonno! He did an incredible job promoting the game at Gamescom. Especially the first day, when the multiplayer wasn't working, and he had to keep everybody entertained while it was all sorted out. He was really composed and, at the same time, super enthusiastic about the game and generally pleasing to listen to.

I'm happy for you and can see your happiness in this video! I'm looking forward to this next chapter in Monster Hunter and following you along the way. I can't wait to watch your videos drop for the next couple of years. And hopefully into the next "Icebourne" expansion in Wilds after that.
Amazing story! I'm so happy and proud for you, Ruri!
I’m on pins and needles! Can’t wait to the see the interview and I’m glad you had a blast at gamescom and I do hope the game releases in the first quarter.
Wow Ruri, as a viewer I can really tell how genuinely happy you are and let me tell you, you deserve it so much. Can’t wait for the interview 😄
Looking forward to that interview and I'm glad you got to fulfill one of your bucket list items. That's fantastic
So glad for you! Don’t worry, we will watch the interview several times to make up for it haha
Pretty fucking cool to see you interacting with the MW Team!! Keep up the awesome content, dude!
Man i am really happy for you. This is all so awesome and you deserve it. So cool you got to meet the team and hang out with them like that. With attitudes like that no wonder we all love these damn games so much. Anywho. Congratulations on everything!
You deserve all of this Ruri. Thank you for all your hard work.
This is amazing! I'm so happy you are getting the recognition you deserve! 🎉 I can't wait to watch all the videos from gamescom, especially the interview!
I love that the MH community feels like a big Family, from the developers being involved with the community to the community itself being very welcoming abd funny! You're one of the best
I am really happy for you man. I watch your content not only for gaming news and entertainment, but also for you and your personality. Keep up the great work, but never forget that a break is well deserved from time to time!
The recognition and that experience could not have happened to a more deserving content creator. It's amazing you got to meet and hang out with the devs, I think they might have been more excited to hang out with you, lol. Cheers Ruri', 2025 is going to be a ''wild'' ride.. see what I did there?
"This stage of the channel" brother your in prime position to blow up even more when Wilds drops! Iv been here since World and hope to see you get bigger in Wilds
man I am so happy to have met you and peppo there at Gamescom, it was so cool actually playing MHwilds then taking pictures with you 2 :D
Very nice to see the passion in your work, for Monster Hunter in general but also regarding you audience and fans. Awesome to see you get recognition on such a level. Great work, and thank you!
I've been loving how much of a good
time you've had with the entire experience. Your excitement and passion from the initial reveal has been absolutely contagious and you deserve every bit of recognition you've got and I'm glad you got to meet the team and have that experience. really happy for you! I've been a viewer since the channel was focused on dark souls 1. seeing you and the channel grow has been wonderful. your hard work is truly appreciated Ruri. Shields's up brother.
thank you so much for all the work you put in the past week, I really enjoyed it and it gave me a ton of hype hours even tho I personally wasn't at gamescom
Hearing about your diligence regarding the questions and preparation, I'm very confident you've done right by the community and done right by yourself. Looking forward to the interview : D
Well deserved love man. Congrats. And I think we'll deserved greatness for a soul.
An incredible and humble CC. Respect brother.
I'm so happy for you that you got to meet them and be recognized !
Oh man. It's brings me great joy to hear that the monster hunter team including the top brass know who you are!
You've been such a great spokesman for the MH series. Well deserved Rurikhan
This is such an awesome story, man. What a dream come true. Sounds like an incredible event.
The entire Rurikhan's Gamescom experience can be summarized as a boy realizing his crush likes him back lol
happy for you man. hearing your story about meeting the directors puts a smile on my face
Congrats Ruri! So happy for you.. To be recognised, must be so awesome!
Rurikhan - been following you since the early World days. You’re the reason why I got into Gunlance in the first place (Hope Wilds is better with Charged Shelling playstyle!). I’m feeling it man…I’m feeling the Wilds hype.
Ruri! Thank you man. You are an absolute legend
talking about the 10 hr wait, it really wasnt that bad. at the end point of the queue, at which some friends and i entered, the estimate was 8 hrs. the actual time spent waiting was about 4 1/2 hrs to 5 hrs, which is a lot better than some other wait times ive had at gamescom in previous years (smash ultimate and pokemon sword and shield come to mind with actual 8+ hrs).
I’m honestly so happy for you!!!
I’m super happy you had a real blast, and I’m glad you had a wonderful experience!!
Thank you ruri for all your Work 🙏
When I think of Monster Hunter youtubers you're one of the first names that comes to mind, wish I could've met you at gamescom can't wait for more MHWilds content!
I’m glad you were able to knock one more off the bucket list. Finally getting your hands on the demo for a game you’re looking forward to and getting an interview with the directors of said game, I’m happy for you. You deserve it. Keep up the good work.
Nice to see you Rurikhan. Was worried about you for not seeing you a couple of days. Looking forward to your new content about MH Wilds. Keep going.
I'm so happy for you, getting one of your dream interviews! Much like MH Wilds I can't wait to watch your interview but at the same time I know you need time to cook. I'll definitely be checking it out when you're ready to release it!
Damn i can feel your happiness thru the screen 😁 happy for you ruri!
Sounds like an amazing experience dude! Happy for you! Well deserved💪🏻
Congrats Ruri! So happy for you :)
That's awesome man! sounds like you had a great time. Can't wait for the interview
This is why we love MH. From devs to community, this game franchise just brings happiness and smiles all around. Good time to be alive
I discovered your channel when it was much smaller than it is now. It's really cool to see how far you've come. You are definitely one if the best creators that cover MH. I'm glad you got to fulfill some dreams at gamescom. Ever since I first discovered your channel, I knew this would be a channel that I would always come back to. You have earned all the success your channel has had, and I have faith that you will continue to do so. Keep up the good work, and just keep being you. From one Gunlance bro to another, "shields up ironbreakers."
Just like the rest of the comments are saying, you're my favorite MH creator and it's super exciting to watch you live the fan's dream! It's nice to follow someone who doesn't just care about mechanics and also pays attention to the community + game creators. Really looking forward to these videos!
Much love for you ruri that got a chance to meet MH Creator themselves ❤
Wish i could meet tokuda & ryozo san in the future too man
Hey Ruri! Been with you since early Dark Souls 1 and Dragon’s Dogma and it makes me so happy to see you where you are now! Wishing you the very best!!!
Thank you for being such an awesome positive light to the community! Your coverage has been so amazing I’m so stoked strictly due to primarily your amazing coverage! Thank you so much man!!!!
Ruri have clearly put almost all of his consideration and concentration towards others than himself while at Gamecon. Thinking about the developers, interviewee’s ability to answer questions, efforts of the translator and all other gamers standing in line. He’s such a humble and nice guy all the way through!
Just a coupla fellas, happy that their game series is so loved and supported. It makes me so happy.
Great video rurikhan, it's nice to get more insight into the devs that you and I respect a lot. It really makes sense why these games are so good
Thx Ruri it was amazing to meet you there at gamescom. It made me so happy. 😊
Thanks for all the hard work you always put in!
Love your content Ruri! Always looking forward to your videos. I'm glad you got to cross off one of your bucket list items and got to meet the team behind MH.
