    Interesting connection! Thanks for taking the time and trouble to bring it out. Keep going. You could also investigate the mythological and historical stories behind the pilgrimage sites of India.

    6 years ago I had the good fortune of stumbling upon the same fact, not the boot part, but the Hyder Ali/Tipu Sultan and Napoleon connection. In fact, his success in India led to his assignment to take on Napoleon in Spain and subsequent campaigns.
