Hey man great vid but when I close obs and open it again it doesn’t show what do I do
Check the docks menu on the toolbar and see if it’s unchecked in there. That may be the issue.

You can but you would have to shrink it so much it would be unwatchable. I think most people understand the limitations of vertical content when they’re watching it.
I can’t answer on the Mac front since I don’t have one to test on. I do however use multi rtmp religiously without issue. Just be careful with total bandwidth. I also haven’t tried along side source record because I’ve heard of issues with it and the new version of OBS.
So I would greatly appreciate help with this. I am totally new to streaming and computers in general and I installed OBS and also the vertical streaming plug-in. However, when the window was open while I was running OBS I exited out of it. I cannot figure out how to open the vertical window again for my stream please help. Lol
Hey! Check the toolbar for the ‘Docks’ menu. The vertical dock should be in there and it’s more than likely unchecked. Just click it to recheck it and it should pop back up.
Thank you for this! Is there a way to separate the mic out of this for editing? When streaming everything is on the same channel but just recording u can separate.
It should keep the same tracks as you have set up in the audio panels advanced audio properties. I have a video on my channel somewhere about setting up multiple tracks for recording.

How would this go on a single pc stream? While streaming on another platform
As far as the scenes and such it would be just like a normal single of stream. If you’re talking about how you could trigger the recording or the backtrack, the best thing would be to dedicate hot keys to it or use something like a stream deck. That way you don’t have to switch windows to obs to click buttons. If you mean performance wise, it really depends on your settings and how taxing your current stream is on your pc. If you have a lot of overhead the stress can be mitigated some by lowering the vertical resolution or bitrate.
How do i get my web cam to work in the vertical section , every time i go to add video capture devide it doesnt work it still stays in my main
OBS section is there something i need to do to allow the vertical OBS section to use my main webcam which is the only one i have now ?
Make a scene for just your webcam. Then in the scenes you want the webcam you add the scene as a source instead of the webcam itself.
I have reset my obs. But I can’t get obs to bring up the new vertical panel to set up vertical stream. I’ve redownloaded it multiple times and closed and reopened and still no vertical panel 😔 please help me🙏🏾
Check the docks menu. It may be turned off in there.

Make sure you restart obs after you install. Also you can check the ‘Docks’ drop-down on the toolbar to see if it’s unchecked there.
Ok now i have it working it keeps streaming my main canvas instead of streaming my vertical canvas
So if you hit the stream button on the vertical pane it starts the main stream as well? They should be separate. I’ll have to do some looking.
Any fix to this?

That’s the virtual camera. If you wanted to use the output of the vertical window to something like teams or zoom calls. This video is a little older so I’m. It sure if they’ve removed that feature or not.

Ayoo! Great video! I'm having the issue where my vertical plugin is picking up almost like its my desktop audio (all desktop audio is disabled in my OBS so im unsure why), I typically use the Audio Capture feature that OBS offers so I can exclude certain audios like music for example within my twitch VODS, but im having the hardest of time to have my vertical content have its own audio etc. I even went and made a new audio control for specifically the vertical plugin with only the game of choices audio along with my microphone, but when I test a recording it is still displaying the music from my Opera browser, if you have any fixes or recommendations please share and thank you! I hope this was readable lmao my brain hurts from messing w it
Check your advanced audio properties to see if anything is going to the same audio track as your vertical settings are capturing. I think you can select separate tracks from horizontal and vertical captures.
Appreciate! I’ll double check those settings though I think the only option it’s picking is from my original audio mixer, not able to find a vertical audio mixer where I can mute it independently ~ whatever my original scene is while streaming seems to be the audio mixer that it’s prioritizing, again really appreciate your time and the video! @@HQAggro that’s correct it’s the same audio mixer but I believe you can select the tracks independently of the main recording tracks. I could be wrong it’s been a minute since I’ve messed with the plug-in.

I put my stream key and server url in the streaming settings and it just says their is no output enabled, I’ve checked it its enabled the stream key is right so is the server url…same problem any tips?
When do you get the error? When you hit stream start on the vertical panel?

Do you have settings set for your regular stream canvas as well? And are you using the check box to get settings from OBS? Or are you using a different encoder?
@@ChowlbPlays i havent touched any of my regular settings on obs, i didnt know i had to adjust those as well
@@TheCheckInReport you may need to have a stream key or something in the encoder settings even if you don’t use it to stream. Can you give that a shot. You don’t have to hit the big start stream button but it seems like obs is looking for something in the encode and stream settings for the regular canvas.
What if you just want to stream the game vertical only without facecam? The whole game wont fit?
Not with the 16:9 resolution. Since vertical is 9:16 it won’t fit unless you shrink it to fit but you’ll end up with black bars on the top and bottom. Usually you would fill that with a facecam or something.
@@ChowlbPlays is that how it's supposed to be? Do people still stream vertically with just a game and no face cam?
@@CrazyGamer-tm2jj usually this is for vertical places like tik tok or Instagram. So I think most people would want to have a face cam and center the gameplay as good as possible. I’m not sure people watch on vertical sites for pure gameplay like they do on twitch or RUclips. But it’s your content and you can do whatever you need/want to do! No judgement!
I downloaded aitum installed it and reopened obs and I do not have the vertical layout added!?!?! Please help!!!
If you go to your docks across the top does it have the vertical dock listed? If not make sure your OBS is up to date.

Great video. Does this work alongside “source record” plugin as well? Also does this work alongside “multi rtmp” plugin? I’ve seen tons of comments that this plugin won’t work on Mac properly or that no way to uninstall on Mac from OBS once installed.

@@ChowlbPlays I'm not too sure as I just started experimenting with live streaming recently. I was able to download it and 'try' it last week. It does seem pretty broken though.

My OBS crashed and the vertical plugin is gone. Vertical scene is under scenes but vertical scene normally in the right is gone
Sounds like the plug-in got de-registered somehow. Have you rebooted? Or tried to reinstall the plug-in? Also check the docks toolbar to see if it’s been turned off.

This plug-in seems to take away my ability to stream though. Still haven't found a fix for it so I uninstalled it
How so? It uses completely different settings than the normal stream. Is there an error?
@@ChowlbPlays lol my upload bitrate remains at 0 when I have it installed. Oh well, maybe a future version won't give me that issue.
@@HNARCS what is your regular setting bitrate set to? And what is your vertical settings bitrate set to?
Can you use it for a virtual cam?
@@Acyoade-i4v yes you can. That’s the other button. The yellow square with the cam on it starts the virtual camera.

Will this consume extra computer resources?
Yes it will need to double encode since your canvas sizes and sources are different. If you're streaming to both vertical and horizontal it will double the bandwidth as well.
