I have to say they did quite well with the actress this time. She doesn’t look exactly like Marie but she has some likeness. She’s a pretty good actress and makes a believable Marie Antoinette.

How do you know she resembles her? From the AI recreations and old paintings? The closest thing would be the paintings in which case she looks nothing like her as well. Maybe I'm missing it.

The actress in this series was brilliant as Marie Antoinette, but I found this series grotesque and so historically inaccurate that it was shocking and think it was such an insult to the late Queen to make her seem like a mad woman. There are have been many series based on historical figures, but I must say this has been one of the worst ! Sadly, there are some people who will think this an accurate account of Marie Antoinette, just as there are some that think 'The Crown; is historically accurate, or the recent. film "Napoleon" . Hopefully The French Government in future will not permit anymore filming in Versailles, or in any of the other French Royal residences without having a look at the script !

Right so 1 they could have children playing the roles as they get up to some adult stuff so they had to hire actors in there 20s and then madam du barry was a prostitute she was high class maybe but it is what it is i would say wt they got wrong was how marie and her got along in the beggining cus they never got along it creative license

I don't know, really. I think this is one of the things we will never know for sure. They took this secret to the grave with themselves. They certainly had deep affection for each other, their recently discovered love letters tell us so. But whether they remained platonic always, or they consummated their love, we will never know.
