Some comments that might save someone some time: With a 4" hobby sized table saw together with a sled you can save a lot of sawing time and edge's clean up. Just draw the lines on each segment and quickly line up the lines on the sled kerf and push the sled through the table saw blade. Table saws usually cut clean enough to avoid much need for clean up with a plane. If you need to adjust the angle of one side of a piece just touch it slightly to a disc sander. Also place all the segment pieces in the jig before gluing anything so you know everything fits and looks as desired and then start gluing and using accelerator all in one quick step.

Is it more important to center the grain line with the center of the line on the transparent jig or more important to line up the sawed up edge with the edge of the template?
