Beautifully played with love and feeling. You are lucky to play a Santos Hernandez. I was also lucky to play one made by him in Madrid 1933. It was a flamenco with wooden tuning pegs. It was a light as a feather and the most powerful guitar I have ever played. I was only very young (15) when I played it and only decades later came to learn what I had really played. A wonderful master luthier. You did him justice!!! Thank you. Pete.
Jesus! She es really good. I love her sound. I normally set this playlits to run freely while I work, and this one was one of those that really call your attention because of its sound, its technique and specially because of how it makes you feel.
Superb playing by Jiji, one of the best rendition of Legenda I've heard so far (it would be nice to hear more from her, she is a pleasure to listen to...real music here!) ....The guitar has a big voice, and a nice warm sound!
Really nice rendition, Jiji. You did a good job with phrasing and your performance here is incredible. You may rest at ease and have confidence that you did a great job.
Call me a profan, because there were many great Masters playing this, but I agree with a lot of comments here - this is the best Leyenda interpretation I have heard! Played passionately and with sensitivity, beautiful touch. In general I am not particularly fond of tremolo, which can sometimes sound forceful and unsubtle, but this time I listened with real pleasure.
On the first listen, I gave this interpretation a "Bravo!" and a standing ovation. The only other artist I have done this for is Grisha Goryachev's interpretation of "Almoraima". ¡Excelente Jiji!
Haha:) Nice seeing a professional and accomplished player/teacher such as yourself on a random comment lol. I've learned so many great classical pieces from you thanks to your many awesome tutorial uploads. Thanks a lot for all your hard work sir. You really are an answer to prayer for those of us struggling to find great teachers to help guide us on our journey. Your videos are so helpful and well made. Please keep 'em coming!
Cleanest i've heard, but I personally don't enjoy her phrasing as much as most other performances. In parts it is better than most, in parts it is worse than most, and to me the inconsistency of that is the only problem I can find. And before anyone jumps down my throat for pointing out a flaw from my perspective, bear in mind this is the ONLY flaw. It wouldn't make much sense/would be extremely time consuming to list everything I like. I think the fact this is all I can find to critique says as much about this performance as can be.

I have heard piano performances by exceptional pianists that weren't this cleanly played. Brava

Merci, jiji on, de cette magnifique interprétation de la "leyenda"... Très ému par votre jeu plein de finesse et de sensibilité
Thanks wonderful playing and tone. In a somewhat tired tune, brought back to life.
I had grown tired of hearing this piece until now. Wow, Jiji brought it back to life!

Heard her play this piece at Lincoln Center this evening. She is remarkable. Her playing is delicious, complex, a treat!
Magistral versión. Soy impresionado. Delicadeza y clara intención, maravillosamente dibujadas en las resonancia de una guitarra. 👏👍
Easily the best Leyenda I've heard in 50 years!
GOD bless Jiji, *BRAVO!*

Wow!!! I am floored!!! This is probably the bust Asturias I have ever heard!!! Really, great job! Thank you. :)
Wow ! The guitar was build in 1925 and yet look like new and sound amazing !

I have never heard a version of Asturias that wasn't played by John Williams that I liked.
Until today, Good Job Jiji!
Did you listen to the one by Xuefei Yang? It’s perfectamente!
This is one of the best performances I've seen of this. Just incredible at the end where you play those muted notes... So much tone and dynamics.
Wooowww Bravo!!!

What is that black riveted thing behind the guitar body?
This is so wildly different from any other interpretation I've heard of this piece, but it's so good!
Where are she from ??
nice even triplets
tells the story - the 'legend' true narrative - not scared to use rubato intelligently - well done!
so good... we are korean...ㅋㅋㅋ

Let's hear you play it.
please show us your RUclips performance for this song?!!
makes a mistake in 01:06
Yep
marvelous.......so hot...bravooo...!
Забавно!
Guitarlift.
The complete silence when switching from octaves to B and back is inhuman.
abusa mucho del pianissimo al principio o es mi idea?
I'm waiting for some suckers to jump in and say she does not follow the trend of ... 3 finger-beginning, crescendo blah blah blah
If this is the best Asturias for you then you dont know anything about music..
Rastko Jacimovic counter-example?
Listen Segovia and then it will be clear to you I will burn for a few days so I set up, listen if you want..
Seriously.
Incredible!
