My dad listen yo Wilf Carter. 8 tracks. Saw him live in Brantford with my dad and was one of my best memories of my father. The joy of finally seeing his favorite singer live was something I will never forget. I still listen to Wilf Carter on my Playlist.
Wilf Carter is one of the best. He and Gene Autry are my favorite country western singers. Autry is still well known but Wilf Carter is nearly forgotten.
god this brings back so many memories my dad at 90 could still do his best to do slims yodel he waited forever for thusrsday nite for the bluegrass nite and swing night the band had played for over 50 years together and always had a packed house in his late years he would come home with bleeding fingers because he could not stop playing at the end he put superglue on his fingers to alow him to continue to play and sing I miss the old days he die of natural causes at 90 but never missed a thursady to play with the boys

My dad and Wilf Carter rode the freight trains together in the 1930's. They remain acquaintances for many years.
My parents had his albums back in the 60's .. remember listening to them all the time.
