Your shower is beautiful! Love your tile choices. My mother passed recently and we sold her home, the buyer wanted a radon test so we split the cost with them. The results came back at 17 ,we were shocked! The buyer had the system installed to vent the radon out. My parents lived there 38 years and never thought of anything like radon could be in there home. My father died of lung cancer 2 yrs ago. I highly recommend everyone have this test done. Thankfully you are having the test done now and not years later, I pray for 4.0 or less test results. The system isn't cheap to have installed but very necessary.

We purchased this house 16 yrs ago while I was being treated for cancer so radon was a big concern. We had a radon test done and the result was 7 so we had the owners take care of of getting the radon system activated. We live in western Maryland and the radon is slightly elevated in this part of the state. Most people aren't even aware of this.

Just as I am unable to recall how it felt in the womb, I believe it will also be so in heaven--unable to recall all the pain and suffering on earth and look forward to unlimited joy and happiness in our forever home. As a Catholic, I will be praying for you and the grace of a happy birth into eternal life!! 💖 As said by a favorite priest of mine: "Once we are born, we never cease to exist; we just can't see you! People are living in houses that may be radon traps, without having any idea. This is why I try to convince every one of my clients to get their house/prospective houses tested.

the most I ever tested was 149 pci. Home built in 2003 and tested in 2012. Then I tested another home 5 years ago brand new and just a little high in the basement, but the kitchen was almost 50 pci. It had a radon mitigation system in it. Why was the kitchen high, they had natural gas for the stove supply and the gas in the area had a 58-day period where a few of the half-life's would need to wait before the radon level in the gas lowered to below 6 pci's. I have done a few school districts following the EPA standards for schools, and there were a few surprises.

Shower looks great 👍 I know this is a little late but if you ever need to use a tile saw in freezing temperatures again you can use windshield washer fluid instead of water to keep it from freezing.

At 5:37, Melissa, you should make a picture of Jeremy. Put it up in new house somewhere for your family. What a great picture to see of their daddy, your husband and his hardworking dedication to his wife and family. God bless you guys.

WOW guys!! what a gorgeous shower. I love the color or tile and that grout along with the octagon tile makes it pop. Great taste Melissa! I pray your results to that poison gas comes back negative. You guys have worked so hard for over two years to get where you're at with your beautiful home. Let's pray about it. God bless you both and your beautiful children.

Thanks guys for sharing the new episode with the new house work update. Thank you for raising awareness of the importance of detecting the element of Radon in ordinary homes. The best way to prevent and if you can buy manual detectors and place them as if it were the smoke detector.👍👏

All the small success especially make the finished product seem like a giant accomplishment, and that’s what you two a done. I’ve watched you two for over a year and I went back to the beginning to see where you started, and you blew me away. A sincere CONGRATULATIONS for all of your hard work. You’re children will remember all the days and some nights that you spent working together for their lives to be better and secure. Again Congratulations on a job well done

Hi Melissa. The shots with Jeremy working while snow flutters down in the foreground are precious. They felt ethereal. This is from me, who lives in a year-round summer country with absolutely no knowledge of what real cold feels like.😊 Keep well! I enjoy the glimpses into your family's life. Blessings.🙏

Well done, I hope you get on OK with the Radon check, I remember I put a radon barrier underneath the concrete floors when I was building my own house, it's just kinda standard here to just put it down for all houses here, and it doubles as a damp proof membrane against rising damp in our cold humid environment.
