She was happy with him in his deadend job in the warehouse but didn't want him to progress any further as she wanted to be BIG BOSS in her marriage just like her mom's
I truly believe they were in love with one another at the beginning. Their family involvement caused them to stray away from each other. This relationship is prime example of keeping your problems PRIVATE.

They both had problems. Chantel actually wants to believe the worst. For some reason I don’t think she knows how to receive love and I don’t think she feels lovable. Her version of what love looks like and what it should be differs from reality so she makes things up in her mind to fill in the gaps. Chantel is beautiful. Like very attractive you can’t deny that. We did see him grinding with corima, Nicole said herself that they had sex, and him driving his co worker around + bringing her name home on a keychain is suspicious enough. According to her, she got a PI and they found out he was doing something with them (his co workers)
