That angle at which he sits while driving is the mark of some of the old-world drivers. Highly skilled as he soaks in the corners with minimum fuss & very precise gear throws that never let the power of the engines sag. Shudder to think what he could possibly do with a Volvo B11R. Mindblowing!!

The driver took "non-stop" too literally 😂 the drivers in India are way more skilled than in other countries for sure.

These routes are not called Non Stop or Super Fast only for showcase.
These buses are much faster than other ordinary speed buses following a normal route.
It takes from only 5-5.5 hrs for a journey of 130 kms in hills wheres other bus of ordinary speed route takes around 7 hrs to complete same journey.
I've travelled many times in HRTC buses from delhi to manali and delhi to shimla by ordinary bus HRTC drivers drive fast but you are safe in the journey HRTC rocks👌👌👌👌👌
If I was sitting there I would have spent my entire journey chanting hanuman chalisa

Delhi-Rohru and Haridwar-Reckong Peo both buses also fly on roads of Himachal. Chamunda-Rohru is the fastest route in HRTC.

एक बार चंबा के लिए पठानकोट से हिमाचल रोडवेज बस पकड़ी। इतनी ऊंचाई, पहाड़ियां, और वो मोटा ड्राइवर। पहली बार इतनी ऊंचाई तक गया को भी इतनी स्पीड। मुझे अभी भी बाद और ड्राइवर याद है। अगर बस गिर जाए तो समझो एक किलोमीटर नीचे नदी में।
लेकिन सबसे ख़तरनाक कुल्लू से आगे का रास्ता। ऐसे लगा जैसे दीवार काटकर सड़क बनाई है।

Meri khud ki ek journey yaad aa gayi, kaafi purani, my father was posted in a rural bank in Punjab under deputation, 2006 summer vacation ki baat hai, when we went to meet him, he took us on a trip to Katra. Since no direct buses were available from his place, hum kuch dur gaye the ek HR ki AshLey bus board karne. Back then, highways sab itne developed nahi the and almost all roads were single lane till we reached Ludhiana. But the driver was an aged and experienced person, probably was in his 50s, back then. Unki confidence and handling dekh ke shock ho gaya me! It was an exhilarating experience, I don't remember where the bus came from or our boarding point, but the vivid memories of the thrilling journey are still fresh in my mind 😄

I've travelled in this same bus with same driver on 31 dec 2021 from Dharamshala to Shimla. The driver was super awesome. It takes only 7 hrs to reach shimla isbt tutikandi
