The yellow and the gray scales Ryu has also match the colors of the symbol that is theorized to be the Source Dragon Of Balance

I always had a theory that he was a source dragon. It just wouldn't make sense to give him so much attention if he didn't have something important with him. If he was regular, he would probably get the screen time of dragons like heatwave or Zanth.

Saw that he was supposed to be a source dragon on the wiki weeks ago and it confused the hell out of me. Glad someone is finally addressing it.
This actually comes from the play stories book that we got RIGHT when the DRS1 sets released that came with core Lloyd. It’s not the same picture they use different art but it uses the same text about the Source of Balance and everything.
I thought it was common knowledge that riyu was a source dragon but then again i thought the great devoir was made by the overlord
So thats where the new elemental powers are from like tech they all powers from riyu
I think That this makes so much sense... because that would mean that theoreticily the source Dragon of balance was killed and because balance was (destroyed) all the realms merged to the one and Riyu IS incarnation of the soudce Dragon of balance.
Inno if this is true, a book description just like this was used for an Arin bio and it technically says that he has an elemental power, but the creators say he doesn't have one at all so I take this with a grain of salt (Arin having a power also takes away from is individuality as a character, with him demonstrating that you don't need powers to be powerful, with him proving himself as a skilled ninja in his own right)

It has also something to do with the fact that during Lloyd's first vision (in DR S1E10) only 6 symbols were shown (all except the "Balance" one), and there was one full body dragon (most likely a SourceDragon) who attacked Lloyd. But in the next episode (S1E11), when the temple spirit talked about the SourceDragons, all 7 symbols were presented.
Correct me if it was revealed to be a production error... but if it wasn't, then perhaps it's actually the SourceDragon of Balance (if it is its name) with whom there's something wrong... which could later relate to Riyu, possibly even leading to him taking the place as the new Balance SourceDragon.

In season 17, I just like to see the main villain is the alternate timeline future version Lloyd Garmandon from 36 or 39 years. Who became businessman, inventor, master of energy (orange), leader of the clone army, and his new name!
I’m getting the feeling Jay, Cole and Lloyd are soon getting their very own Dreamzzz Episodes.
Why? That ended over a year ago just to promote Dreamzzz, it wasn’t canon and was just a marketing campaign
What I think it means is that from what we see, the source dragons don’t seem to always get along, I think he will have the ability to master all the sources, and he will balance the source dragons by being their leader.
True but for now Riyu is a teen Dragon, The Sources Dragons have more than millions years.

I think the book that is shown in this video is the one with Sora and this book leaked the Young Dragon Riyu set and its coming out in July.

Since u said earlier that one the elements of the balance src dragon can control is time so maybe riyu control time a little bit which is y he might’ve grown up so fast to reach his end goal a little faster

I have a theory : what if the Source Dragons are immortals and that if they die, they get revived as babies then they grow up normally and it happens again again and again like a phoenix so it could mean that Riyu was one of the 7 Source Dragons this whole time.
He can’t be one to seven because in season two part one we see all the seven source dragon in their spiritual forms when Lloyd asked for their help

I'm confused on the names of seven Source dragons. They're names are Life, Motion, Strength, possibly Balance, and ... what? What am I missing? They don't clearly state the names that often.

2 more reasons why riyu could be a source dragon; one: when lloyd, arin, and sora went to the three mountains to find riyu’s family, it was pretty clear that his mother was a source dragon.Two: he gave sora a boost on elemental power like his mother gave to lloyd.
