One of my favorites from his unreleased collection of songs, and it's always interesting to watch Elliott play drums (even though I know he did all the percussion on his solo projects) RIP
chamataka I'm pretty sure it says "if it ain't country, it ain't music". It has a picture of a banjo and an electric guitar on it. He had clear influence from country music in lots of his songs. Junk Bond Trader comes to mind. He was an eclectic dude. I'm not saying popular country is very good, but popular music isn't very good either, you gotta look deep into any genre to find the good stuff. Check out the Avett Brothers for some great Elliott Smith inspired country.
Elliott was the greatest songwriter of his generation. You can't convince me otherwise.
You're not wrong.
You're speaking facts.
absolute fax, but i gotta put kurt cobain and jeremy enigk in there too.
john frusciante
Love the fact that he can do it all...sad loss for me, really really loved Elliot a lot.
