Good lord, is this ever good! Was led to this because I was reading about David Lynch, which led me to Peter Ivers, which made me look up New Wave Theater, then finding Suburban Lawns and a pointer to this album. Now I am a huge fan. I love the internet when it does this kind of thing!
Too bad for Peter :\ then network thieves tried to turn his show into somethin' else, even tryna give it to Andy Kaufman after stealing his playhouse idea from him (e.g. Peewee) what shoulda rightfully been his and then HE went and dipped this world. Strange, huh? What next? New Wave Theater just sorta turns into Night Flight. Shame. RIP Peter Ivers.
Fantastic. Loved Suburban Lawns in the 80's, but now their superb musicianship is more clear than ever. This does remind me a little bit of Philip Glass - but in any case all of the members from band were very talented
i dont know if the attorney rumors i have been hearing for years are true or not, i have no idea where she is or what she is doing now. but i hope she is still around, and i hope that great talent she has has not been going to waste all these years. hopefully she has been recording masterpieces at home and some day soon they will find their way out to her fans.
