    2011 Christmas Tour is one of my favourite tours I've ever had the privilege to participate in! Home Free is legit some of the coolest dudes! Love ya Rob and Chris! And yeah, Tim Foust, can't be mad at that:). Super cool dude and legend bassman! So glad Home Free is continuing to grow and achieve greatness this last decade! xx Reunion??? :)

    Thanks again to all.

    It was great seeing you and Rob together talking about the good, and not-so-good old days of Home Free! I can’t imagine life without Home Free music in my ears! I was already a fan of the Sing Off from the first season, when season 3 started, I was hooked from Home Free’s first appearance! I started looking y’all up online and RUclips! I’m with Rob, Chris! Thank you and Adam so very much for starting the group! I saw y’all live in 2014 and 2015 when you were still with them. I’ve been to 5 shows since then! I hope you and Home Free decide to collaborate more! I’m really enjoying these videos!

    Maybe a Chris Rupp + Home Free collab soon?!
    Also, it’s so very interesting to hear how Rob’s speaking voice is very different from his lovely light, airy tenor singing voice.

I also want you to know that I picked you guys as the winner of The Sing Off. I told my husband if you didn't win I would never watch the show again, and I meant that.

    Souls never age so music means as much to old crowds in small towns as it does to beautiful, young women on cruise ships (Not that I don't understand the appeal). Good music makes us all feel young. You guys are astounding musicians. It would be interesting to hear the mechanics of how you arrange the different voices...tenor, bass, baritone.

  • @MrJdsenior
    @MrJdsenior 2 года назад +1

    Let me guess. The cruise ship pushed you to four to save 20% of what they were paying the group, right?
    Who the heck would go into an interview or a try out without having done any preparation??? If I was going to audition for a group like that I would have picked up every recording they've ever done, gotten any sheets I could, even attended a concert if I could, and WORKED to have the part nailed before I ever showed up, WITH some of my own new interpretations and brilliant spur of the moment bantering quips if the group did that sort of thing in concerts, which I would ask if they wanted my to work in, or not. I'm not a professional musician, but sometimes ya gotta wonder. That applies in ANY type of interview, and man, does it give you a leg up.
    And as for the banter, well worked out and entertaining banter, for me, is a definite plus. And I don't mind nonsense, as long as it is entertaining. It does need to be a bit applicable, though. I'm thinking of the Canadian Brass, for one example here. Then there are (were, unfortunately) acts like Victor Borga, which were polished and entertaining to the nth degree (if you haven't seen his stuff, DO, you can thank me later). Brilliant and irreverant (but never crude) humor, the kind that will have you laughing out loud, like Pinette.
    Oh, and I can tell you what type of person does that (total lack of preparedness). The kind that is very likely not to get the job. Folks, if you don't do this, listen to and internalize this idea. Life is hard, it's harder if you are cluelessly ignorant. And if you're a man shaking a man's hand in the interviews, don't offer a wet noodle of a shake. That will end it right there. Actually, now that I think of it, it applies to women, too. I'm not talking about crushing their hand, just a firm shake, like you mean it. Effort pays off.
    And as for Tim setting the bar. Yeah, that is exactly zero in the surprise scale, for me. One of a handful of truly awesome basses out there. And don't even get me started on Adam, holy crap. THAT is what truly dedicated effort, and love of what you are doing produces. As for Chris, for me his ultra top tier talent is arranging. He is very good at other things, but there I think he resides at or near the top. Austin, pipes, pipes, pipes. Rob can damn sure whistle, and smooth. That's why you guys are where you are, ultimately. No weak links. Adding Tim was the best decision you ever made, and I think Elliot is another at that level, but quite different. Another genius of smooth and silky.

      @ccreasman 2 года назад

      @@marshac7738 so true. I certainly didn't know they were working with the various iterations of members. Remember the video "Good Ol' Country Harmony"? I thought that was sort of autobiographical, that at some level they knew each other younger (not Chance who I know joined later). Well, as you, I only found them due to the Sing Off, so I'm happy about that. Were they always called Home Free? Sounds country to me, so perhaps not....oh no. 😮
