The whole crying thing is also a matter of confidence and self esteem. If Takemichi is only seeing his results as failures then he'll never see himself as making progress. That's why it's important for Naoto to state that they are succeeding little by little. He needs praise not more pain. His tears are very much justified in my opinion.

The main difference is that he keeps seeing Hina alive again... It's one thing to become numb to people dying. But to have them back, and then to lose them again, and them have them back again and lose them again and so on - that is just pure pain forever

I know Rob is just being Rob. But I don't mind Takemichi crying. The main character in Re: Zero goes through similar things where no matter what he does, things always seem to end horribly in the timeline. If you go through traumatic things 12 times, I'm not gonna look at the 13th time and go, "Wow. I know you just witnessed your friends and everyone you love die over and over no matter what you do, but maybe you should just get over it." Especially because they can't even explain the reason for their trauma to most other people without seeming insane. They just have to bottle it all up

The one argument I never get is when people say for him to stay in the past so he can make sure things go right and once the 12 years is up he can go back and fix it again but here’s the problem the naoto from the past only takes him 12 years into the future while the one in the future that knows what’s going on only takes him back 12 years. So I’m short if he stayed in the past than his stuck with the naoto who can only spend him 12 years into the future so if he stayed those 12 years in the past than that naoto could only send him 12 years into the future not back into the past so than he would just really be stuck
The point is, gang life means, its not going to just be 1 scenario that can lead you astray. Every-time Takemitchy goes back and fixes something, he just finds out that something else happens later that he has no control of.

Rob really has an issue with his temperament. Was it an inferiority complex or superiority complex? Besides, its not like he needs to be refined martial arts. He just needs to be able to hold his own. I can attest to the fact that just sparring with high level combatants produces insane results with no formal training.

Nah. I don’t agree with Pat and Rob. Even in real life, that’s not always the case to get over trauma of seeing someone they love and care about dying. There’s billions of people around the world, everybody is not built the same as you regardless of how you were raised and view life from YOUR point of view. There’s elderly people, even in the army, who’ve seen friends and people die, went through the course of their lives, and were still haunted by memories of all that tragedy.

I agree with rob and Pat simultaneously for Once. Up til now takemitchy has made good pace sure, and most of his cries were necessary. But, a lot of then also weren’t. Takemitchy needs to lock in fr, and he doesn’t until The next major death. Crying in this episode I can understand, but even naoto held it together longer and 1. He’s younger. and 2. That’s his big sister smh.
because of his ineptitude, people suffered even more than if he did nothing. He does have his moments coming up, but imo knowing what happens in the future should bring even more of those moments than there were .
Yeah but Naoto is not experiencing what he’s experiencing, takemichi is the one going to the past, fighting gangsters and watching his friends die multiple times, of course Naoto hold it down more, he hasn’t been through what Takemichi had to. Also Takemichi saw his girl actually die in person, actually watching someone die is gonna mess you up more than hearing that someone died.

Idk how many deaths and betrayals, and trauma inducing events it’ll for him to wisen up.
