Great video as always guys!
Thanks again!
I have a char-broil 5burner with a 6th sear station. Its officially done (6 years old and the burners have been discontinued so i cant replace them, and the sear never worked to begin with). Just want to say thanks to you ive decided on finally getting my first entry level grill to become more serious. Your videos have been fantastically informational. As a Canadian, knowing more about the napoleon grills really helped me set my decision in stone. Picking up a freestyle soon (we have ones with side burners here so the rogue just seemed obsolete to me). If this goes really well then one day ill get that prestige. Cheers
sounds like you have a journey in front of you. Have fun grilling!
Love when you compare grills! I use a kamado, pellets grill, gas and a kettle Joe.
Dang you got the whole set up 👍
@@embersliving I am still looking for a offset smoker.
Soapstone on the Kamado Joe all the way baby. Nothing comes close.
aw yeah
I’ve got a Napoleon prestige 500 and a traeger ironwood 885. I love them and feel I can cook anything!…… but I also feel like I should add a kamado Joe to my lineup.🤔
that would be a great addition
For 10 years all I used was a kamado cooker. Personally if I only had one unit it would be that. You can smoke, bake, sear, do it all. After that I would have a nice gas grill. I currently own a large green egg and a Napoleon phantom 500 series. Ok I lied, also have a couple Ooni ovens and a Gozney dome. Can you ever have enough toys to cook on? Love the videos.
lol nice you have a lot. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video. I have a Traeger that I don't use to often. I would love to add a gas grill but am not sure which one to get.
what is your budget
My budget is up to $1000
@@nichole5765 Napoleon freestyles are really good
@@embersliving thank you I will look in to it. Btw can't wait to see your outdoor kitchen when it's completed.
I have become obsessed with finding my starter grill/smoker.
If I get a Traeger I suspect I’m not allowing myself to grow and educate myself in proper cooking techniques using raw wood or charcoal.
I hate the flavor of gas.
And it’s boiling down to either a Kamado Joe, Green Egg, Masterbuilt Gravity, or the Webber Kamado
I also have NO experience with bbqing. But I can reverse sear and roast pretty good.
But then, what’s the sense of getting an outdoor oven?
I need to learn how to cook outside properly.
The things I want to make are smoked Ribs, reverse seared Steak, Smash Burgers, Deep Fried things, BBQ chicken and wings, pizza, and anything with a Wok.
Should I just get a cheap Kamado and learn the ropes first or just dive deep into a good quality Kamado ?
Big green egg is a good starter. I enjoy the Kamado Joe for all the accessories. We have a video where we smoked a try tip steak then seared it at Trevors house if you ever need tips.
I have a Weber Summit Kamado E6 and a Traeger Ironwood 885. If I could only have one it would be the Kamado. Can't be the fun and flavour
agree!
Thank you for the great videos. I’m struggling with what to get. I currently have a gas grill on the fritz and want to try pellet since I do smoke on a older electric that too is going out. I saw your review on the Weber smoke fire. It seems to be the hottest of the pellets in my budget. 600 degrees correct? Your thoughts on that as both a grill and smoker? My thought is the only downfall is not getting super hot for searing, but we’ll hot enough to grill most anything. Thanks for the videos!
Hello , I have a smoke fire and it’s searing like hell , really nice . The only reason I would change is that I’m really not a fan of long cook
the smoke fire looks good and I believe they are making a new version of it
Check out the Rec Teq Bullseye. Can do low and slow and get up to 750-800 degrees
O my God!!! Are you using the white startercubes??? Never use those in your ceramic grill!! 😫😳 They are full of chemicals!
true. Next time well use the loft lighter
In the Netherlands we usually use all natural starters...
I'd wish Kamado Joe was as cheap in the Netherlands as they are in the States...
