This was a hit as our ship cruised into San Francisco in 1962'. I had just gotten back from Korea. I love how these songs always brings back great memories.
My dear lady, you performed "San Francisco" remarkably well and I found your musical interpretation to be very moving. Although I usually don't write comments, I felt compelled to praise your violin arrangement of "San Francisco", especially because of the feeling you put into it. Your electric violin adds a special sound, sort of like a combination of the standard violin and the Chinese erhu. It gave your performance an unusual and almost spiritual quality. So thank you for reviving this incredible tune across the generations with your skill and artistry. Plus, you looked quite lovely with your flower garland and flower print dress too. What a nice touch for this musical piece. In case you are not aware, this amazing tune was written in the 1960s by one of the great American musicians of all time, John Phillips, and popularized by his good friend, Scott McKenzie, whom you credited. This is one of Phillips best, and you've done it justice. It was also known as the "Flower Power Anthem" because it energized the resistance movement in the US that helped end the horrible (as if they aren't all horrible) Vietnam War, which was never even declared. It's safe to say that "San Francisco" could be credited with saving thousands of lives. Keep that in mind next time you play it. Recently, I recorded a flute arrangement of "San Francisco" which should be published on RUclips soon. (If you send me an email address, I'd be glad to send you a copy.) It would be interesting to play a duet with you someday.

Your violin arrangements are all excellent. Although I commented about your wonderful interpretation of “San Francisco”, I was amazed at how many other fabulous arrangements you have performed over the years. It’s also remarkable how similar are our tastes in music. I really liked your arrangement of “California Dreamin’” as well, especially the way you split Jim Horn’s flute break in the middle, where you kept the first part of the original flute version. Then you used your violin to play the second half, essentially creating a flute and violin duet. As I promised in my comment, I’m sending you some of my flute arrangements to give you an idea of the techniques that I’ve used over a considerable amount of time. The first is my flute arrangement of “San Francisco”. Of course, I like them both. Next, I’m sending you the Beatles tune, “In My Life”. I thought you might like this because I used a violin break midway. You might want to make arrangements for a few other Beatles tunes because they are very popular in America. Finally, I’m sending you my flute arrangement of “Heart Full of Soul” by the Yardbirds. One suggestion is that you could convert the guitar break by Jeff Beck into a violin break.
