In my opinion, the Q2 has the most beautiful grill of the entire Audi family. From the front, it looks simply irresistible and it's a very nice and accomplished small SUV.
Just got an immaculate 2020 Q2 1.0 sport for a steal with very very low mileage and it's a lovely little thing indeed. cheaper to run than our old 1.3 Corsa, more higher range models are more expensive fuel wise. Nice and solid on the road, sharp breaks, nice expensive feeling steering and suspension which is very tight. The engine surprisingly has a fair bit of grunt to it. Great fun to drive despite the negative reviews. Would never buy one of these brand new though, got ours with a 5 year warranty through an authorised dealer. These things have masses of storage and carrying space inside, it's incredible what you can fit inside it. It's congestion charge exempt and cheap to insure. Worked out as a nice cheap-ish Audi although it hasn't got all the bells and whistles of the top of the range, but we don't really need them and we can still have a decent holiday every year...
I have just got the S Line Q2 71 plate and it’s fantastic, I absolutely love it as I’ve only ever had new Fords and Vauxhall’s and didn’t really appreciate the little difference that the Audi has, such as the little click when you move the dials. Great car.
Do you enjoy the car? Also, how is it driving the car as I’ve ordered one but currently waiting to it to be finish built and delivered. I’m very excited but nervous as I didn’t test drive the car
@@reecelouieee It's a good car mate, really throaty little engine. The automatic gearbox is a little bit docile at worst. It's sticks to the road like a gokart. We have 3 kids too and it's ample room for them 3, not too good for 3 adults though. That and the tech isnt quite as good as I expected compared to a new insignia that I got in 2015. Apart from that though as a day to day car, you're more than right to be excited. You'll definitely not be disappointed pal.
Thanks, good review. I've just ordered a 35TFSI Sport S-Tronic with Comfort and Sound pack and the dual zone controls. I wanted to get a pure petrol car while I still can, and hope that by the time I next need to change, there has been more progression in either synthetic fuels, or hybrid technologies, as I'm really not convinced full electric is the way to go.
I was thinking of trading up to a Q2 but very surprised by the boot space in what is supposed to be a SUV. 405 L and 1050L with the seats folded down. My little Peugeot 208 with the seats folded down has 1106L.
German cars are reliable but the cost of maintaining them is the problem. Audi's and VW cars have the best reliability in the short term. So a new one can last about 5 years before you decide to sell.
Interesting review, thanks. I’m surprised that you haven’t covered Personal Contract Hire (PCH) costs due to that form of car “ownership “ becoming increasingly more popular - why didn’t you mention it please?
I refused to buy this car because they're way behind in tech offering compared to the Ford puma. No blind spot monitoring. LED only in the front. Parking sensors on in the rear....it's a long list actually. No thanks Audi!
Weird how other reviews complain about the DSG with the 1.5 engine, does this engine still suffer from the kangarooing issue or has that been fixed? Either way, it looks dated, old tech inside and too expensive for what it is.
Honestly the Audi for the sporty luxury feel. For me tho that want a comfortable and just enjoyable car the t-roc that it is well almost the same as does the job just great😌
Probably the dullest car ever made! I would forgive it if it was reliable but will Audi will NEVER EVER EVER beat any of the Japanese manufacturers in this regard. I love how motoring journalists think "perceived quality" means reliability.
Thank you, only complaint - slow down, spoke way too fast. Not fun stop, start and listen - stop, start and listen - stop, start and listen on and on......

agree! so much hate on this Audi. I own the full spec one and I love this car! The navigation is gorgeous
I wasn’t a big fan of the Q2 design when it was first launched but it has grown on me and think it actually looks quite nice.
Never been a fan of the Q2 design and still aren’t. Definitely the ugly duckling of the Audi Q cars. IMHO the Q3 looks so much better.
@@BobMahal the audi q2 design is bit cheap looking right?
Not worth it heated seats only in the most expensive vorsprung version that’s a rip off
Just got the 22 S line for a great finance deal. Fantastic, in depth review, thank you!
Every time AUDI sneezes a change on a rear bumper or a new gear knob, we get a review as nobody would notice those insignificant changes otherwise.

How much did you pay? If you don't mind... Also how you managed to get the deal??
Audi decided to discontinue the Q2 because of poor salings...this is a big turnoff

I don’t understand why there’s no heated front seats in even the slime or sports range? Abit basic thing to include for the price
Fine review thanks. Is the gearbox jerky at slower speeds, or has that been sorted?

That’s the one! Yeah exactly, I am thinking in 10 years by 2030 governments will be forced to reconsider the ban on ICE cars
Never seen one of these before. They don't sell them in the USA sadly
Dislike for in-video ads! But thank you Audi for putting physical buttons in the car.
Bit of a off topic question. Say you get the Q2 without automatic climate control. Could you get it fitted after you've originally bought the Q2?

My Q2 is coming up 2 yrs old & I'm starting 2 look @ options, sadly Audi don't do a hybrid .
They do have hybrids they have an a3 hybrid,q3 hybrid,a6 hybrid,q5 hybrid,a7 hybrid,q7 hybrid,q8 hybrid and an a8 hybrid
I pick up my Q2 on Tuesday
Does reliability matter if you only drive new cars and trade in every 4 or 5 years?
German cars are reliable but the cost of maintaining them is the problem. Audi's and VW cars have the best reliability in the short term. So a new one can last about 5 years before you decide to sell.
Great car but really should have a hybrid option, very disappointing
Good review

Is it worth buying Quattro specification car?
For most people, no.
There is no Quattro version of Q2 ...you need to go up to a Q3 for that.
No mention of having to put the key in the barrel, no start stop button
If you buy the tech pack, you get keyless entry and the added security risk that comes with it, is totally free.
Audi Q2 or VW Tiguan Life 1,5 l TSI. Which one would be a better investment?
get a t roc have one and love it

Android Auto/Apple CarPlay without a touchscreen is a joke.
I have the 19 Q2 and nothing noticeable has changed. I dont like it.
Imagine paying for a "premium" SUV in 2021 that does not come with a climate control as standard. This is a joke....and a bad one!
Also NO keyless ignition!!!!!!!
If you can only afford to buy the base model then you really shouldn’t be looking at an Audi and look elsewhere
I had this as a hire car for a week - faultless, easy to drive and peppy performance on the motorway - the only grip? A terrible media interface
So what your saying is don't buy it.
One big problem with reviewers who talk too much, we didn't really see much of the dashboard, it was you talking all the time 😢

You brought a Ford over an Audi. That tells me you can’t afford an Audi
Still old tech inside, well behind other Audi interiors...
Which is better? Q2 or GLA?
Some specs look really plane and cheap, but the mat green Vorsprung spec, is pricey but looks nice
Weird how other reviews complain about the DSG with the 1.5 engine, does this engine still suffer from the kangarooing issue or has that been fixed? Either way, it looks dated, old tech inside and too expensive for what it is.

Compared to these new EV's this is looking very old fashioned now.
Cam belt and pump has to be replaced every 5 years I wonder how much is it? £1200?
Bollocks to that

Overpriced supermini SUV.
