I'm a begginer, i play piano for 7month now and i completed this piece yesterday, I had difficulties with the nuances and the interpretation of this piece but this video helped me a lot.
it depends on how much progress you've made during those 4 years. but in general, if love a piece, give it a try before anything, then decide. you know, loves make miracles :)
I love this piece but I think he butchered the expression. Don't get me wrong, I'm nowhere near his level and I'm not putting down his skill, but I can't connect emotionally with the piece when the transitions in speed are so jarring and frequent. Very strange way to interpret the piece
Chopin was famous for his rubato- to such an extent that a fellow composer (Hallé?) commented that Chopin’s 3/4 sounded like 4/4. Chopin was at first upset but when his friend counted 1 2 3 4 while Chopin played a mazurka, he laughed and said this was a Polish rhythm.
You guys arguing about if this piece is grade 6, 8 or 99999 ... you won't pass the exams with such spirit. Chopin is much more than a number.
Exactly and the video is for us to listen to no?
Damn right!
Grades are just so you can aim for them. I didn’t do any grades and my piano is grade 8 level
Actually I have that song in my practise book. I think it might be grade 6 or higher
Such a BEAUTIFUL and unique interpretation. By far my favorite of all the ones I've found.
a very nice rendition! i like it!
I like it !
A very sensitive, cantabile way of playing, also in the "trio" section.
Very interesting.
Here I've heard the real Chopin
Magnifico y stupendo
Una belleza!!la estoy aprendiendo! Muchas gracias!!❤

Alexej does Chopin proud!
Bravissimo!
I am used to play this one very sweetly, like Alexej does.

@@w.sallyy I don’t think it is, my sister is grade 6 and she is playing this song.

@@minervacamacho8601 it’s grade 8 rcm
Ohhh that’s why
Very good!!! I am playing it to!!!!
I love this piece ( is it normal to play when you only have 4 years of piano experience?)
It’s a Grade 6 ABRSM so 4 years of experience depending on your progress should be fine
@@Jack-ji2kz oh ok thank you i wasnt sure!
@@thehorsepeeps3716 no problem I’m playing it at the moment for my exam. You should give it a go is a very nice piece.

Suits the Bechstein very well, this is how Chopin should be played
Needs more views
Also listen to fulvio zanoni.
I have this on My examen on the School🤲
Quite fast but very interesting nice job
Not really it’s meant to be crochet 120
Eccentric rubato
what do you mean?
Mazurka is not a minuet esque dance, this doesnt vibe man. Honestly these insane dynamics changes why are you going quiet son, this is a lively dance!
It vibes.

Why our teacher giving it as grade 4?
In some programs like Russian or Australian programs it can be considered lower class
A little bit slow maybe, the tempo is Cantabile, 144...
Jules Villejoubert But I like his tempo, lol
One of the reasons why I like his interpretation so much :)
my book says 120 so this is perfect!
Isn’t it 120 in the book though?
I’m 99% sure this person is related to Chopin
lol me too
