Have only been indoor lead climbing. So if I were to go out to the Flatanger, I would definitely need some quickdraws, which I dont have any! The Mammut Bionic quickdraw set would be the best! Alfred, from Singapore here!
Being a flatanger, I would order everything I need with delivery to my location😉😎On a serious note, I would take sleeping bags, mosquito nets and hammock. Why, it's simple, cold night and mosquito everywhere🦟🥶 Michael from Poland 🙂
I am Mexican but I live in Marseille, France and here we have the calanques, a beautiful place to climb with sea view. what better to climb with that magnificent rope of Edelrid !!
If I had the chance to go to Flatanger for six months I would definitely bring my citroen 2cv and my climb bro as well as everything I needed to enjoy an experience like this. Also the helmet because you can always use it!!!!! Michele from italy😄
I am not buying a rope without dry treatment again. It's just worth it so much. I also tend to go for the unicore style ropes for the piece of of mind. I have seen too many youtube videos of ropes getting desheathed
@@razzinijj5465 I use dry treated ropes indoor too. For lead climbing at least. They keep the smooth finish for a really long time. Which also means that they feed great. The classic untreated ropes turn into a fuzzy mess within months.
@@timonix2 thanks. I´m looking for a rope for lead climbing. I´ve been climbing on my friends rope. Not going to buy a untreated rope now:) If you have any recommendations for rope I would like to hear. I´m not any good. Struggle with 6a, have done a few 6b after working on them 3-4 sessions. I love to climb 5c:)
@@razzinijj5465 get the cheapest 50 meters, dry treated, dynamic, single rated rope you can find. Should be good enough. Locally for me that is the Beal booster or edelrid heron. But it varies based on promotions and location. Or if you find a super great deal on a non treated rope, go for it. If it cost a quarter as much it doesn't matter if it lasts half as long.
Definitely would bring a massage gun because my weak muscle would twitch. Would like to buy/ rent a camp van and hopefully a good belayer company. Also, I would bring Clipsticks among many others!
The necessary pieces of gear for flatangar are simple, a pair of solutions and miuras so you can flash silence of course! My name is Bjørn and in from the Netherlands
If I were going to Flatangar for 6 months I'd definitely bring something like the DMM Classic Rope Bag to keep the new rope nice and cared for! And I'm oliver from Brazil/US!
excluding the obvious things to bring eg, harness, shoes and other bits gear. it's really just stream lining gear. the possibilities are pretty high as well working on a harder line maybe finding and working new routes. so everything has been add that eather shaves weight or is a work horse. shop.epictv.com/en/single-ropes/edelrid/parrot-98mm (just for the giveaway but I would still buy this rope) shop.epictv.com/en/shorts/la-sportiva/flatanger-short-mens (be like adam) shop.epictv.com/en/quickdraw-sets/camp/photon-wire-express-dyneema-11cm-pack-6 (shave down on some weight also just a great Quickdraw) shop.epictv.com/en/knee-pads/la-sportiva/la-sportiva-knee-pad (be like adam) shop.epictv.com/en/climbing-tape/wide-boyz/wideboyz-tape (tape, tape and well more tape) shop.epictv.com/en/stick-clips/pin-go/clipstick (would definitely come in handy for 6 months) jason bell, Ontario Canada
Would be good to see one of these on workhorse ropes in 2022
