  • Welcome to the channel! Come along with me as I take the New 2022 Deutz Fahr 5080D on a clean-up mission around the farm! I needed to make some lanes for deer to navigate through some high grass/weeds and funnel them to where I plan on sitting come archery season here in PA.
Leave some comments on what you would like to see in upcoming videos and I'll see what I can do!

    Hello..
Thanks for an actual video of this tractor in use.
How is the forward/reverse shifting with the shuttle shift? Assuming you still need to clutch every direction change?

Yes, you need to clutch to shift it into forward as well as reverse. It’s a bit cumbersome but not too bad. I’ve driven the 5120G and that is great as far as not needing to clutch to go forward or reverse.
I’m glad I could help. Let me know if you have any other questions

The only bad thing I can say about Deutz is that they cost an arm, a leg, and your first-born-child. Not such an issue with the smaller/older models, because they're gonna last (less tech addons), but the computer systems that run everything above a 6-series are gonna be obsolete just as fast as your average Tablet.

When I was comparing prices from other popular brands vs the 5080D it came in a lot lower priced with the same or similar options. As for the 6 series, I don't really have any experience with them or the larger models. I would imagine the same could be said about the computers in other brands and various models.

@@christophersnook Good to see that some of them can be found at a good price. That wasn't a dig at Deutz though, to be clear. Computer systems that are designed to be obsolete quickly are an industry-wide problem. But considering how much a top-of-the-line 6-9 series costs, it's gonna hurt even more.

@@MFKR696 No doubt, and all the technology is great until the day that issues start to arise from faulty wiring, slowdowns, or the need for dealer service calls to read a trouble code. Along with the tech, the DEF requirements industry-wide for tractors over 75 horsepower are leading to reliability concerns. Many farmers are getting through the warranty, then running into issues and deleting the system altogether.

    How has the tractor been?

It’s been a great machine so far. I used it to plant corn this past spring. This winter it is pulling an inverted snowblower, when it decides to snow.

Do they have a cvt transmission option for this tractor?

Not for this one in particular. Their larger size tractors do I believe
