@Joshua Choong that is not how the game works, you only will get harder opponents in war, it doesn't affect regular attacks, and xbows literally don't have much weight
Rushing is a good thing to do if you want to max out, and are prepared to have more difficulty farming. If you rush from a max th10 to th13, you can start by upgrading key defences and heroes. Then every time you get a book or hammer, you can use it to finish of the final 2 week long upgrade. Using books and hammers like this, you get far more out of them. If you level your heroes, and also just the troops you actually use, then you'll experience zero difficulty in CWL. Your base will be a th13 with weak archer towers and cannons, but the key defences will be max. I did this and I'm just a few archer towers, cannons and air mines shy from being max. My royal champion also needs 1 more level because of the last update.

On the topic of rushing, I know from experience. It’s so much easier to keep up, than catch up. I just came back to the game a couple weeks ago and it’s a pain
I feel that is much better maxing archer towers and cannons instead of xbows. Cheaper, less time to upgrade, more coverage, dps is spread out. Xbows are kinda overated, sure they are flashy and look cool, but the core of the damage are arch and cannons.
No, I do not agree with you, xbows and inferno is better to upgrade if you are in the late game and to upgrade monoliths instead of Archer towers and cannons. This is my opinion, I know that other people have different opinions but I'm just expressing mine. I am not trying to blame you.
I mean at the end of the day trophy pushing is actually the main part of the game, as once your maxed/close to it that’s what your meant to do as you hitting Legends league is always more impressive then just being a TH higher than your mate
1. Rush town halls 2. Never max walls 3. E-Drag attacks 4. Co-leader on micromanaging merit alone 5. Sub 5k in builder base 6. Never mastered hybrid 7. Commands 2 opposing war strategies at once and ensures clan failure 8. Never be held accountable for poor decisions 9. "sorry i missed war again" 10. Invites players who don't speak the clan's primary language
About number two: I don’t necessarily agree on this, upgrading your core defences does alot to your warweight, wich faces you against tougher opponents. It doesn’t matter for CWL but for example: if you are a brand new th13 and you’re focusing on your inferno’s, scattershots, x-bows and eagle you will match against th13’s what your troops are not prepared for and your strategies are not developed yet! But anyone can play the game as they like to, good video btw 👋🏼
I remember when you could go to TH10 without xbows, those was the days lol not a lot of people actually know about war weight these days or how much it really matters for some reason
10:10 ok I've seen bases like that where there's that empty space in the middle of the base and it's full of traps. What I do is literally just put down 1 or 2 maybe 4 Barb/Arch in that spot. That way you know what traps are their, the traps are activated, and then eat the base out from inside with whatever troops u have.

I came back to the game after a decade, just for something to do at work - I rushed my base from th1 to th10. Now, I think about this a lot - I believe there is a correct way to rush, and an incorrect way to rush. For reference I'll tell you guys what my base looks like right now; Town Hall 11 - Maxed walls, th11 nferno towers, th11 xbows, th10 air defense, th10 wizard towers, th10 mortars, th7 teslas, th8 cannons, th9 archer towers, traps that have only been upgraded once or twice., and th6~ish collectors. Forgot to mention my heroes are currently 45,45, and 10. My philosophy when upgrading town halls was "well, my walls are maxed out, if I don't ugprade town halls, I'm going to either have to slow down with how much I play, or I'm going to have a ton of wasted resources." So I'd upgrade my town-hall once my walls were done. When I went from th10 to th11, my heroes were insanely underleveled, something like level 10. I kept them down as long as possible, and while it sucks to not have my heroes, pretty beefy now. The way I fixed my rush base was this; Every gold pass (once a month) I'd choose 2 defenses to max out once I get my builders to +20% speed. When they are not at that speed, I keep my heroes down, and focus on cheap, less time-consuming upgrades, like cannons, archer towers, and teslas. The first time I did this - I took my air defenses from lv1 to th10. Then I focused on my Wizard towers, then my mortars, followed by my infernos and xbows. The thing is - when you're upgrading your base like this - you need to expect to get rocked by a comp that is going to take advantage of the lack of defense in your base, and you're going to need to farm twice as much as you're going to lose. At TH11 this meant I was going to get obliterated by electro dragons, since my AD's were down, and my xbows and infernos were going to get zapped out. Then when my wizard towers, and bomb towers went under - I'd get rocked by mass hog riders taking advantage of the lack of splash. The thing people don't tell you is - the pacing of the game eventually slows down, upgrades start costing millions of gold, upgrades start taking entire weeks, no amount of rushing is going to prevent that. By rushing your TH upgrade, all you're doing is making the game more difficult for yourself. On top of all of that - there's a defensive curve that a lot of people won't tell you about that starts at TH9 and continues to th12. Meaning, at TH9 you have to deal with 2x Xbows, and TH10 you have to deal with 2x Xbows and 2x Infernos, and at TH11, you have to deal with 2x Xbows/2x Infernos, and an Eagle Artillery., and no matter how hard you try - you won't find success with lightning spells, unless you're running mass Edrags, and you'll not only need high level troops, but you'll need high level spells, and new strategies.
i remember something i did before like copy link to base isnt a thing back then i used to watch yt bases layout and would copy it one by one its so frustrating but goodness they added a copy link base thing
I admit, I rushed up to th10 when that was the max. Its taken me until now to fully upgrade it. Rushing killed my interest in the game several times, and I'm just happy i have taken the time to fix it
Yeah I had also rushed my base till th9, like i had pink walls, But it took me like 1 year and regular play to fix that and now I am fully maxed out th11, It just feels right to play the game this way
I always have like five barns or archers in my army to check for traps in free spaces and to destroy the few building people might place at the far corner so others can't three star the base
5:42 Learned that the hard way... I realized I was rushing at town hall lvl 10, and after about a year, most of my buildings aren't as high as they should be at town hall lvl 10.
There is a benefit to doubling and tripling certain areas of the wall though. Doing so can control where ground troops attack. In most cases, ground troops such as giants will target the weakest part of the wall so so theoretically you could double and even triple parts of the walls to funnel them into attacking a specific area that has a heavy concentration of fire from defenses. While it won't stop jump spells or hog riders, it could effectively control the attacker during early game.
One mistake though, rushing is faster than going townhall by townhall. Rushing gives you better and higher level troops, more heroes, more choice on what to upgrade, better loot and money making opportunitys, a much higher value of magic items, etc. In the long run rushing a base is the fastest way to get to the max townhall. I like to use a hybrid where I would rush only a couple of levels and than max it out, gives me the best overall value. Like going from a maxed th 11 to a th 14, and from my maxed th 14 (halfway through 15) to a th 17 now
I was pretty surprised at all the new features of Clash. I had quit playing three years ago and just got back into it. It is sooo much easier to get loot now.
1:57 this isnt necessarily right. Depending on what you focus on, for example war weight and not being listed to high in clan war you dont want to upgrade your core defences first.
‘Upgrade your core defences last.’ No. Upgrades such as eagle artillery and scattershots add so much war weight, not upgrading them will mean you have an easier time in wars
rushers are lazy people that dont like putting effort into building there defenses or any other structures that are important. playing clash of clans is like being a dad. if you dont want to put in effort to take care of your base/, then dont play at all.
Putting defences in boxes is not a bad idea until th10. It used to be annoying when I was using Witch attacks, when the skeltons would be stalled by walls and taken out by splash damage. But th11 electro dragon is a nightmare for these bases.
I cant agree with upgrading your heavy defences first, especially when you are doing a lot of wars! For example if you become th11 you shouldnt buy the eagle and upgrade it to lv2 right away (this is also upgrading your xbows, inferno’s and wiztowers right away). If you do this; most of the time you still have th10 heroes/troops and get matched against a mid th11 to a max th11 in wars.

Honorable mention giving co leader to someone who just joined because they have high trophies and you don’t want them to leave usually they will kick everyone and it’s sad to see clans go down like that

No, I do not agree with you, xbows and inferno is better to upgrade if you are in the late game and to upgrade monoliths instead of Archer towers and cannons. This is my opinion, I know that other people have different opinions but I'm just expressing mine. I am not trying to blame you.

Clash of clans takes me back to my childhood, I loved the old mechanics and when I see nostalgia, it makes me feel really happy.

Me: How do sign the contract
Also me remembering that I signed it months ago:
I came back to the game after a decade, just for something to do at work - I rushed my base from th1 to th10. Now, I think about this a lot - I believe there is a correct way to rush, and an incorrect way to rush.
For reference I'll tell you guys what my base looks like right now;
Town Hall 11 - Maxed walls, th11 nferno towers, th11 xbows, th10 air defense, th10 wizard towers, th10 mortars, th7 teslas, th8 cannons, th9 archer towers, traps that have only been upgraded once or twice., and th6~ish collectors.
When I first played for some reason I thought rushing was good then I stopped playing.
Years later I came back and now I regret it

When you're th8 or below pushing past crystal, troll bases are a godsend.

Rushing nowadays isn’t bad anymore. In fact it’s the fastest way to get max th14 the fastest search up Kenny Jo how to rush
That benefit is very little compared to more efficient wall usage tho
7:21 we all are guilty of this
Officially
The Dank God has blessed us with even more COC content! Cheers!!
1:57 this isnt necessarily right. Depending on what you focus on, for example war weight and not being listed to high in clan war you dont want to upgrade your core defences first.

Putting defences in boxes is not a bad idea until th10. It used to be annoying when I was using Witch attacks, when the skeltons would be stalled by walls and taken out by splash damage. But th11 electro dragon is a nightmare for these bases.
1:00 actually wall breaker can break up to 3 walls if i remember corectly...
Depends on the level man
Just leave a 2 tile gap between the walls
I cant agree with upgrading your heavy defences first, especially when you are doing a lot of wars! For example if you become th11 you shouldnt buy the eagle and upgrade it to lv2 right away (this is also upgrading your xbows, inferno’s and wiztowers right away).
If you do this; most of the time you still have th10 heroes/troops and get matched against a mid th11 to a max th11 in wars.
Yes, war weight is a big factor, you wouldn't wanna have a mid th11 as your mirror when you're low th11
