Same, their discussion were so respectful and interesting. The others on the panel were the only ones often talking about the importance having one, but then kept interrupting and insulting both the audience and each other the whole time. Scary really how the public figures in TV are so deceptively and horrifically hypocritical and it SHOWS on both Catherine's and Jordan's faces during it all.

Just watched a panel discussion in Australia from Feb. 2019 with Ms. McGregor and Dr. Jordan Peterson among others. We may fall on different ends of the spectrum on some political issues but I was very impressed with Cathryn McGregor and wanted to know more about her. This is just the first place I landed. So far, I am mightily impressed.

Lol same for me watched the Aussi panel searching Jordan Peterson and I am a conservative from the USA. I was so taken back with how Catherine communicated i searcher her out and landed here. I was utterly floored when she publicly not only acknowledged her faith in God, but went in depth about it. Very moving!

If she were the sole spokesperson for trans-rights, I sincerely doubt that anyone in their right mind would have any problems with trans-acceptance. I saw her for the first time, three days ago on that Aussie Q&A panel prog with Jordan Peterson, and have been researching her as much as I can. What a truly outstanding human being.

    • @Monad01
      @Monad01 3 года назад +3

@@and762 Yes she has xy chromosomes, but there is a politeness in calling her a she, as that is how she identifies. This is not a denial that she is biologically a man, but that she feels that she is a woman. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I saw Catherine McGregor in another Q&A discussion together with Jordan Peterson. She is a really impressive, intelligent and incredibly quick-witted lady. I wish we had more women like her in Europe. My list of compliments to Mrs McGregor would fill the page, so I will leave it at my greatest respect for a great woman who enriches the political climate with her presence.

I really like her. She has such a way of talk and sharing that is so deep and personal. I fall quite a bit on the right/conservative side of politics, but I find myself constantly agreeing with her all the time. She brings social issues out of politics back where they belong. If everyone could calm down and be as loving and soft spoken as her the world would be a much better place.

Stereotypes, I believe, exist with some good reason... however I also believe that no stereotype is true. Sounds like contradictory beliefs, but I don't know how one could believe any other way.
Cate is far from the transgender stereotype, she seems truly healthy, confident, grateful, respectful, happy and solid in her chosen gender... without becoming hostile to those who can't wrap their head around why anybody would ever want or feel compelled to change their gender. There doesn't appear to be an underlying unhealthiness nor does she appear lost.
If all transgender people were like Cate, it would be "game over" for the condemnation and/or animosity that people can have toward transgendered people.
There is no combination of traits that can't be packaged into a human, which means it is time to drop whatever usefulness stereotypes may provide and get to know each individual for who he / she is individually. Be open to the possibility that every human being is very different from who you may initially judge them to be.
There is simply no way her respectful aura can be faked.

To the learned lady, the body is only the clothing of the divine soul and spirit within
I would have bet 1,000 dollars that this wonderful human being was born a 100% woman biologically and I would have lost it laughing and happy
Love yourself how you are emotionally, and mentally, never hate yourself and never live a lie, how the society wants you to be but be the real you
It is not how the world sees you but how the Infinite G-d created you, Mrs. Catherine McGregor
I never seen a man but a woman and I only found out that you're a transgendered woman when I pay attention to your voice, which doesn't matched with your womanly face and looks
Thank you for who you are not what other's want you to be

Had the privilege of briefly working with her on an exercise. Consummate professional. Sharp as a tac, witty and has an attractive personality. One of those rare people that you instantly trust and know where you stand.
Brimming with pragmatism and what was traditionally known as common sense.
    She doesn't suffer fools.
I wonder if a career in politics as a major party leader is on the horizon. She certainly has the credentials, (despite playing cricket ;)

    from wikipedia
McGregor stated that she was diagnosed as transgender in 1985, following a prolonged period of alcohol and drug abuse, but it was not until 2012 that she, in her own words, "repudiated... [her] birth sex".[1] While McGregor's father died, aged 42, in 1964 from a brain tumour, her mother survived him until 1992 and McGregor considered that transition would have "appalled" them and therefore chose not to transition until just after her 56th birthday, following a crisis point McGregor says she reached in November 2011 where she felt she had to commit to this path of transformation if she wanted to survive.[4] Even after transition, McGregor stated her brother (now deceased) refused to recognise her as female, and that her pre-transition 2001 marriage to her wife ultimately broke down (they divorced in 2016) as a result of her decision to transition.[4]
McGregor completed gender reassignment surgery in her early 60s and takes oestrogen. She has stated she is not attracted to men.
