I'm a 56 year old grandma. I grew up on synthesizer bands in the 80s and stopped buying music mid 80s when hip hop became popular because I didn't like rap. Fast forward to 2016, I discovered BTS and now this is my favourite of all their songs. Its the emotion that gets me; even before I knew the lyrics I was hooked.

Their body language during their verses matched the words and feelings impeccably. RM felt like an explosion, Suga was burning up and then Jhope was a deathly silent implosion. Like a blackhole that sucked everything up and all you felt was emptiness. They took us through all the stages of grief.
J-Hope's face at the end always kills me, you can see the struggle, The pain and fear. Gosh. This song is beautiful, painful and amazing.

They are literally the best rappers in k-Pop and outside of it. So many professionals have commented that very fact. The passion, aggression, and emotions all 3 rap with are on another level. Their stage presence is no joke. They are simply phenomenal.

I love this song cause it reminds me of what I could've lost. I only discovered bts in 2019 and if they had disbanded in 2018 I might never have come across their music. Their lyrics have helped me so much, especially epiphany so I'm actually grateful for outro tear

These are my two most impactful songs too. Epiphany and Outro Tear are so emotional. Glad they were strong a persevered.
It was much the same for me, I cried so hard when I found out about what almost wasn't. The first song of theirs I heard was Fake Love, and I had just left an extremely emotionally abusive and manipulative relationship and that song just resonated with me on a whole other level. That was what made me a fan. The openness, emotion, and vulnerability they share through their music was something I hadn't felt in a long time.
Jhope's finale part and overall lyrics makes me tear up all the time. Ya'll feel me

You can hardly survive seeing this live. I had the luck to see it twice, at the O2 Arena in 2018 and on Wembley the next year. No video can capture the atmosphere and no words can describe what you feel when you're there... It's just unreal. You're never the same after seeing them live...

I still can't believe I was there and experienced this song live and in person. The atmosphere and music was intense and moving. I could feel it in my soul and I teared up near the end of the song. It was so emotional and moving.
Ps. For everyone who wishes to go to a BTS concert someday, I have faith that you will!! You show so much support and love for our guys and I know that it may seem impossible at the moment, but nothing is impossible. I also thought that but some day, as it happened with me, luck will be on your side and support you to get to that point where you can go to one.

When we say "Hobi", it sounds like, "Hoebee" (Don't sass me lol) Outro:Tear is hand's down my favorite BTS song. It's straight up art.
This is actually wrong pronounceation. There is no 'hoe' in Hobi. The members never say it this way. It is pronounced Ho-bee

Good luck getting tickets! 😂😂😂. I got them for my daughter who introduced me to BTS and that process may have been the most stressful thing I’ve ever done. But I still hold tix to shows at the Rose and Cotton Bowls!

I got to hear Tear live 3 times and the first time I heard it, it was incredible but we didn’t know the meaning behind it. After finding out, I saw it live and it broke me. I was crying and jamming all at the same. Their concerts are like nothing you’ve ever seen. Attending once is not enough. IF you can, go two nights (minimum) when they go on concert.
Also, you should react to Cypher Medley from 2017 memories, OMG! These guys, this rap line, is beyond incredible!

I've read something from a person who knows Korean. They talked about how the translation doesn't show the tone of lyrics and how SUGA's verse is actually more vulnerable and even imploring than it seems when you read english translation

Last time round they had dates In Paris, Amsterdam , Berlin and London .. but please speak to other army before you think about buying tickets so they can give you help and pointers for ticket day

I love to see you getting so hype (genuine, not like fake reactors). I'm so glad you give our guys the credit and respect they deserve. How many artists can you say are so much better live than the recording (not many) - they kill it, in their subgroups, as a whole, as solo artists. This song stays with you always, I still get emotional now after 2.5 years.

@@edgloss1299 yah he knows how to channel emotions, to the audience it is really hard for artists exspecially rappers, but suga uses different techniques for it exspecially his breath. He make different breathing sounds, and voice inflections provide that tension to audience.

I’ve tried. I want to LOVE his stuff, however, my (grand & great grandmother) ears are overly sensitive to some of his chosen words. I cringe at times when he’s reacting but I get through it because he’s such an amazing and animated young man. I’m 62.

I can't count how often I saw this specific performance but I always forget to breathe during J-Hopes verse at the end. Always at the verge of crying. This is definitely in my top 3 BTS' performances.

The studio version of the song hits hard, but the live is just incredible. You can feel the pain that each of them feels when they think about what was happening when Suga wrote this. J-Hope's pain is so clear and heart-rending that I knew they were talking about something that truly hurt them before they ever told us what the song is really about. They only told us last year.
Shin Myung-soo, DOCKSKIM, SUGA, RM, j-hope are the writers/composers of this song. Someone fed you wrong info about this song credits. I have a great suggestion, next time before you write a comment about credits, please check them from the official source because you spread misleading stuff on social media. It is not a song made solely by Yoongi. Stating "SUGA wrote it" you disregard other writers including other two BTS members.

Other people worked on it and are credited for it, of course, but when they first heard the song, Suga was the only writer who had worked on it yet. That's directly from Suga, in the Break The Silence documentary. Thank you for making sure that the others are acknowledged for their work on the song, but Suga was the original writer of the lyrics and he's the one that said he was. That's not misinformation.

Watch the damn Highlight Reel, the tear theme is literally there and it was composed by Shin Myung-soo. Also give me the exact excerpt from Yoongi where he said, "the song came from me", there is no such thing. RM in his vlive said that all rappers were working on the chorus melody but Sugas version was picked by the producer, all three worked from the beginning.

RM was talking about the final version. I'm talking about when it was initially written and, again, that's what Suga said. Do I need to go find the episode of Break The Silence that it's in? It's a fairly well known statement of his. Twitter damn near broke when that came out last year.
Just to clarify, Suga composed the song or the melody and obviously wrote his verse. RM and J-Hope wrote their verses and it was produced by Docskim.
It has that beautiful piano in the beginning and Suga is an accomplished piano player so you can hear his fingerprints in the composition but the lyrics are from the all of the rap line.

The main composer is Shin Myung-soo, the same man who composed Highlight reel, and the piano part is his composition taken directly from Highlight Reel theme, it is not Yoongi's input. Please check the facts first before making assumptions and stating them as facts and feeding reactors and other fans this fake narrative on social media. It is disrespectful and downgrading for the actual writers. Secondly, the second in composing/writing order in the album booklet is DOCKSKIM, then SUGA, RM, and j-hope. DOCKSKIM is not only the producer. SUGA is higher in the composing/writing order because his version of the chorus was picked by the producer over the versions made by other rappers. RM said it in his vlive. So stating that SUGA composed this song on his own is not true, two other composers are listed higher than him, which means they made bigger contribution to the composition, and yeah that great intro piano part is made by Shin Myung-soo.
@@uvayakone9281 they said "Suga composed the melody", no one said that he is sole composer, but he contributed to the song as composer and according to his own words he came up with the idea of this song, so don't try to downplay the contrbution of one of the members of BTS

Also it is a FACT that two other writers/composers are listed higher than Yoongi in credits so no he is not the main composer. Since the interview with SUGA have come up, firstly half of the fandom can't even properly repeat what he said and add other made up stuff to his words, and the whole fandom never even care to cite or watch RMs vlive where he also talks about this song and Shin Myung-soo and DOCKSKIM input
