It’s not like that. This song sounds very cheerful but this is actually a sad story of two people being in a relationship when they possibly already fall out of love. The guy has a difficult relationship with his girlfriend and he decides to have a trip to the beach as a hope to freshen their relationship again. The guy, is probably still having a heavy heart, maybe thinking of his sinking relationship, goes out in the middle of the night, initially to get some air I assume (I don’t think he leaves the room at night because of a fight, as the girlfriend is confused about him not being in the room with her, “어디갔어 이 밤중에, 도대체가 이해가 안돼” “I can’t understand him, where is he/why isn’t he here when it’s already so late?” despite him planning the whole trip). Among all the couples walking around the beach, he sees a woman walking alone-just like him-and that catches his attention he “absentmindedly” follows her. He decides to approach her (here referred by “woman at the beach”) and it turns out that they have the exact same story as well-she’s in a relationship but she’s already lost her feelings for her partner. I guess the guy feels comfortable, or interested with this woman (“기다리지마 이제서야 만나서” “Don’t wait for me [saying this to his girlfriend] because I’ve met this woman”) he even talks to the woman at the beach until sunrise, not thinking of his girlfriend. When the guy is about to go back home with his girlfriend, he happens to come across the woman at the beach again. But this time, she’s not alone, she’s with someone else. It turns out that she also comes to the beach with her boyfriend (bringing a cool car, according to the lyrics). At the end, no, they don’t break up. The guy doesn’t break up with his girlfriend, nor the woman at the beach with her boyfriend.
