Evan Williams SB used to available everywhere. It then became Kentucky only a few years ago. Now I guess it's back. Just picked one up today in Wisconsin. Your wife's raw honesty adds great humor.
I was SO stoked when I found out that EW SiB Vintage was going to be widely available again! I had the 2013 - was able to grab the last two off the shelf two years ago before it was relegated to "Distillery-only" status. Ran right out and grabbed a bottle: Bottled 1/6/2015, Barrel no. 350, Bottled 2/15/2024. Had some last night. Love it! This is one of my favorites from any distillery, of any proof, in any price range. At under $30, it's a keeper.

Yoooooo! Just found one today in Faribault! $35 out the door. 2015 vintage, barreled on 1-6-15, barrel 361, bottled on 2-16-24. It’s definitely back. Last one I have bunkered was 2013 vintage. And hey, I’m also married to a MN girl, Godspeed to all of us. 🤣

The 2013 vintage from 3 years ago was the last nationwide distribution. The marker notes do happen in some Heaven Hill barrels. It's common. Single barrels are often a gamble.
Saw these on the shelf in Tennessee and Georgia last week so glad I passed on it and got some other stuff. Nice review looking forward to more videos hopefully in the near future.

I picked up a bottle in MA last month. It was worth the 32.99 price tag but much more. I enjoy your channel because you guys review both bourbon and scotch snd I enjoy both. Soooooo many bourbon channels rag on anything non bourbon.

I'm sure someone has said this but Evan William Single Barrel used to be distributed to multiple states but they stopped about 3 or 4 years ago. This year they released it to multiple states again but it is a limited run. Supposedly, what is out in the wild is all that they will be distributing outside of KY... for now. It's not great so we aren't really missing much. Costco has had it for $28 in my area and for that price... yeah its a nice to have. Looks great unopened and it's a decent enough pour. Also... at Evan William Experience in Louisville KY it's like $52. Never buy a regular bottle at the Evan Williams Experience in downtown Louisville. Only buy Distillery Exclusives in their gift shop.

You two are pretty fun to watch and always make the wifey and me smile....the EW SiB Vintage IMHO would be better at a higher proof point say 101 at least, all the hints of a great nose and pallet are there but lost at the lower proof to me.
I do have a question if you don’t mind. I also have a whiskey channel and do video editing. What camera are you using and software if you don’t mind? Love your zoom angles.

Used to have this even over here in Europe, but then it changed to Kentucky-only... but maybe this has changed again. Still not back here in my neck of the woods. I have a 2010 version. Another Minnesota whiskey channel? 🤔 Yes EW SiB was Kentucky only starting in 2022. Started showing up again this year with no announcement apparently. Which was good in a way. The bottles got to the shelves without getting cleaned out by flippers right away. I picked up two bottles of EW SiB in the La Crosse area about six weeks ago. It's very much like Old Grand-Dad Bonded/114 to me. Cinnamon forward with caramel, vanilla, oak and some brown sugar. I like single barrel offerings. You never get the same experience twice. Yeah it can leave you with not so good bottles sometimes but hey! That's part of the adventure!
Sadly it became an only Kentucky avaliable release recently. I used to get them here in Arizona 12-14 years ago. As recently as 4 years ago they would be on grocery store shelfs at Frys/Kroger...not any more though. They were always a hidden cheap single barrel bottle
Well I have one from before they pulled it from the shelves so I’ll compare it to the new one. I do remember the single barrel from Evan Williams be a little thin tasting.

This was available back in 2011-2012 in Florida. $27 bottom shelfer. Hilarious the hype it got when it went kentucky only. I think they used to be 10 year age stated too. Had three never liked em.
It was regularly available years ago. Then it was pulled from the shelves and a distillery exclusive. Then it came back this year across the US but was more money. Seems like there is a lot of BS on the label. The wife’s eye rolls etc are precious.

Perhaps youtube added some sort of auto audio enhancement or something? I have no idea. Will definitely pay close attention to that on the next one though 👍🏻

They pulled it back to Kentucky only” then hey, guess what it gets released back out every again for a limited time and the secondary market goes crazy and changes $50+ for a $25 bottle of bourbon. Hit the nail on the head with the Heaven Hill Sharpie marker note. This is a well-known and common nose off of their products.
