Gary Numan is one of my MAJOR musical influences....THIS song is as heavy as a World War II tank and has all the menace of a mindless horror movie monster.... Love IT!!!

This is such a great song and it sounds so shitty here. This whole album is amazing. I saw him in concert supporting this release and I think it's one of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Don’t think Ed Sheerin or those other lightweights could compose a song even near this.

Let's not compare lmao. They're both very different artists. Where did you get Ed Sheeran from? Lmao they both do different genres. Let's stop hating, okay? Hate is fucking stupid.

@@goodsoul7833 its hard to not compare considering today's production quality vs being a literal pioneer of production and electronic music. Them not being able to touch gary numan is expected. He has decades more experience in the industry, and is only really close in comparison to atticus ross and trent reznor, who also drew inspiration from gary numan, which if nine inch nails got some thoughts and sparks from his technique, says quite a bit doesn't it?

    Lyrics
Here in the black, there's a feeling of loss, but it's hungry and restless and it's
Looking, desperate for something and it feels like a child but they're screaming all helpless and it's
Absent of mercy, it's alive and it feels with not a shred of compassion or love
It comes like a pouring of evil, it's a stain when the ground is a desolate shadow of fear
It's dark and I'm lost, there's a breath in the wind and the breath is malicious and I
Don't know whether to run or should I drop to my knees and pretend I'm religious because
It's cold and I'm scared and the whispers are invaders and voices a question to God:
Is this real or imagined because if I'm asleep well then I don't need to scream for long
Here in the black, it comes
Here in the black, it comes
Here in the black, it comes for me
Here in the black of lust
It's here and I'm feeling like a thought in the mind but it's beautifully vicious and I
Can't hide, not sure if I want to it crawls into this like a vision of Judas and it's
So close I can feel it and I'm chilled to the bone, I'm a statue in ice but it's
Unsure if it's enough so it waits like a ghost, like a demon assassin of God
Here in the black, it comes
Here in the black, it comes
Here in the black, it comes for me
Here in the black of lust
And all you see is dark and vague
And all you feel is life in vain
And all your hopes just bleed away
And all you are is lost and fades
Here in the black, it comes
Here in the black, it comes
Here in the black, it comes for me
Here in the black of lust

Overproduced and formulaic - most of Gary's output since 1997's 'Exile' sounds very repetitive to my ears.

MsOzzyzig The main thing i dont like about numan anymore is the lack of sharp dress code,he always looked so cool nowadays he looks like some one that cant be arsed anymore in case it ruins his career again ? i once saw him as a cool guy to idolize & i did for the best part of my life but when i heard he was doing a gig in ISRAEL fuk me that was it ,sorry gary but you ve gone against your morals with your floppy scruffy dress code pInk t shirts & orange wrist bands WHAT THE FUK HAPPENED TO YOU NUMAN ? = FENTON a DJ ?? & a shit one at that , TELETOUR 80 WEMBLEY WARRIORS BERSERKER ETC were great but when you sold your soul to the left wing media to gain status again ??? for me as a life long fan that held your discos for yrs it was over for me gary, the REAL numan retired years ago !

Nathan Holding to quote you: "i once saw him as a cool guy to idolize & i did for the best part of my life but when i heard he was doing a gig in ISRAEL fuk me that was it ..." Nathan, please note that Israel is the most secular nation in that entire region. Got to give Numan some credit for venturing there. I've been to Israel, and it is a breathtakingly beautiful and mysterious land. So enough with the rhetoric.
