Crypt Parva grows well in my acidic, low pH / high GH water in Florida.

This sweet little plant is what I picked to carpet a cylinder tank. I'm keeping the scape real simple, a clump of baby tears in the middle, the crypt on the bottom, and some salvini floating cover, a rock pile around the baby tears for a shrimp nursery.
I've been planning this one out for a long time. Hope it comes out as well in reality as I see it in my head.
    👍❤👍

If you were a sales person, that would be a soft sell and I'd purchase some. Great video of knowledge, I've heard of it, but don't have any and I'll keep it in mind. Thanks

Adding it to my list because you said it won’t get big and it won’t melt. I’m holding you to that promise 😂. BTW went to my local Petco today and their plant selection was very, very sad. Opposite of Petsmart which has a nice selection. Weird. Also received my first plant order from Flip Aquatics last week - A+ - will order from them again.

Informative video! I have Lutea and one other unknown variety both doing well. I will have to try Parva next! Video idea: what to do when you throw your back out and you need to do tank maintenance. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Ugh. That’s me since Thursday. All I can think of is sweet talk someone else to do it. The garden too. Enjoy your weekend Joanna! 🐠 🌱 🌸

Good morning Joanna! I have two crypt parva and neither have grown much at all in the past 1.5 years or so. They're less than an inch tall. But very cute, and I haven't had an issue with them other than little to no growth.

Another great informative video Joanna. Thanks. Crypt. Parva is one of my favorite plants too for all the same reasons that you listed. One thing I would like to see is for you to continue the series on fighting green hair algae. What do you think of the idea of next time doing a 50% to 75% water change (enough to bring the water level down low enough so that the plants are somewhat exposed) and then using either an eye dropper pippete or small medicine syringe, squirting 3% hydrogen peroxide solution on the algae infected area of the plants, giving it a couple of minutes and then refilling the tank? Of course you would have to observe the maximum amount allowable per gallon rule ( I forget what it is off the top of my head; have to Google it)

Thank you for posting. Need something to take my mind off what’s in going on. The Airline that is SUPPOSED to be flying my niece back from Grenada delayed her in Grenada for twenty four hours. Then when they got her to Miami they bumped her from one flight until late last night and canceled it. She asked if they could get her on a flight to Boston Mass. would I drive three plus hours to pick her up,I said yes and started out. The airline canceled that flight. While that was going on her mother my sister was on hold until two o’clock this morning trying to track down luggage. I am now sitting at Albany NY airport waiting to see if they can get her here.

I’m so sorry! Planting in aqua soil is such a stinker!! Next time you can try placing pebbles or rocks around the new plants to keep them down while they root in. Also - I have a video- micro sword planting hack - I think it’s called where I cut off pieces of a comb and use to stake down plants. 😊
