    Hi Andrea and Mike 🤶🌲🎅
At WW they called this time of year The Bermuda Triangle 🔺️
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year! And they said people average 8-15 pound gain! Wow!
So even maintaining your present weight would be a victory ❤
But may I suggest that as soon as you eat dinner and do the dishes you put on your shoes and take a brisk walk outside. The weather is getting cooler and you can burn off dinner before you get relaxed and ready to watch TV or whatever. It really burns those calories and your endorphins will be adding to your peaceful evening.
Rick and I did this many years ago and it really helped get it off and keep it off!
    Good luck Sweetie ❤

You are the sweetest. Loved your "Put Your Veggies Where Your Mouth Is" series. I think when people see two normal people commit to what you two did, it helped motivate all of us to do the same. Hey, I for one am proud of you for walking every day AND doing the elliptical. The elliptical is not easy! For losing the weight, Dr. John McDougal says, "it's the food." So, I got his book and am doing the 50/50 plate. Eating lots of potatoes and huge side of steamed veggies. I wasn't always a huge fan of sweet potatoes, but since following McDougall, I think I've tried almost every color/variety of sweet potatoes. ANYHOW - the best of luck to you and Mike. Love you both.

Thank you, my sweet friend! We've been discussing it and we're going to try to do something along those lines again next year! We're on this long journey regardless, so I feel like if we can help more people to make a change for themselves it's a win win! 🥰
Dr. McDougal's book is on my list to read! I want to finish Dr. Greger's book first and then I'm going to check our local second hand book store to see if they have a copy of The Starch Solution. Mike can't have any nightshades (like potatoes) so this Irish kid had to learn how to love sweet potatoes, lol! 💕

I can see a difference in your face already ❤
Intermittent fasting! It's absolutely given me the best results in my 45 pounds lost so far. I've had times where I have gone off my diet a little bit and it hasn't affected me negatively at all thanks to the intermittent fasting. I have to have healthy fats with every meal to stay full as a key component of success but I can easily and safely eat only once or twice a day as long as my meal contains good protein, good veggies/nutrients, and good fats. This could be a huge help for your goals and allowing your body the fasting times to help heal itself 😊

Thank you! I would love for this extra chin to disappear, 😆 so far I feel like I'm mostly losing it from my chest area, the only place I don't need to lose. 🤣
I may try the intermittent fasting eventually but it's not really something I can do while healing my thyroid with a pound of greens every day. Once my hormones are resolved it should also make it easier for me to lose weight, I hope! 💕
