Great vid in an old stamping ground of mine Epping Marsfield..Suggestion. Recently took train to Lithgow return to Central and tried out a new camera.At Lithgow I got a small packet of wipes for the window, Big difference and now part of my kit, Cheers.
I was at Central that day to catch an XPT to Brisbane. Only relief I got from the heat was a few hours of aircon at Market City, and two trips on the L1 between Central and Paddy's Markets. It was absolutely brutal. 🥵

But I'm getting sick of seeing these new train continuing testing, about time they start getting used for the public to use, I've been watching them come through port kembla harbour for 4 yrs now, it's getting beyond a joke ,

Phil why did you upload this as Vlog 2158 after Vlog 2157 featuring the Powerhouse Museum?
Phil, did you notice the reports of faults in the New Intercity Fleet as reported on 7news last week? It makes this new fleet an even bigger disaster. Is it possible they can cancel the rest of the New Intercity Fleet process and have the rest of the New Intercity trains be built locally as the newly elected Labor Government proposed to go with just like with the Tangara replacement fleet?
Waaaaay too deep into various contracts. They’ll just have to push ahead with the (unnecessary) modifications and certification process.
Faults are typical with any new rail fleet. But I would argue that the extensive list is the result of the long-term “ wet “ storage and limited running of the sets. They need to be constantly running, which they largely haven’t been.
@joshporter5422 I would say this new intercity fleet is probably the worst and most controversial train fleet I've ever witnessed in my life. I've never seen any new train fleet that's as badly planned as the Mariyung D Sets (a new train fleet starting passenger service more than three years late after being on the tracks is something very unusual that I've never seen before). I really hope they learn their lesson after the Mariyung D Sets progress is complete. That way, they won't make the same controversial mistakes again for another new train fleet in the future.
I was there when D35 and D135 was there, and platform 9 had a Kiama service, platform 10 was a Mt Victoria service. Also it’s great using opal because sydney tolls are sooooo expensive.
