In the restaurants I worked in he wouldn't. All burgers are made with raw ground beef and pork. Seasoned and grilled. Always Fresh. Never frozen.

It freaks me out how Gordon just touches everything with reckless abandon. Raw meat, 50 year old dust, moldy food, expired food, how does he never get deathly ill.
As long as you don't touch your mouth, eyes or nose before you thoroughly clean your hands it's fine.

That is because american networks try to pander to a wider audience. They also believe the wider american audience is made up of retards.
He's the same way in the US show, it's just overly edited to make him seem angry the entire time.

In these older UK episodes, he sounds depressed and sad about the horrible kitchens, like its a waste of what could've been. So different from the USA shouting matches.

Because he is a rather calm person in real life. It's the heavily dramatic editing, the music and the sound effects in the US version that wants the audience to believe that Gordon is The Hulk.
This is years before the US stuff. Once he became popular they it became more dramatic.
This stuff is before the US version. Back when his shows actually had some quality and were not overly edited and dramatized. Back when you didn't need to destroy half your brain to enjoy his show like you have to for his US shows.

@Lovelyjubly Well the restaurants change in lighting so that could explain why Gordon eyes change.
Studio cameras have glass light filter slides for different lighting conditions that go over the camera. Also this is all indoors under various types of light temperatures, so you are seeing shadows.
You know a place is fucked when the KFC (like the one I've sadly worked at for the last 12 years) has a better run fridge and freezer has waaaaay better standards than everything that has been shown in this vid....could just be my store coz the staff seem to give a shit...but I like to believe that most KFCs are better than this shit
The correct word is "Nauseated" ("nauseous" means evoking nausea in others) The dirty kitchens are nauseous, the food brings about nausea, Ramsey becomes nauseated.

Corruption finds it's way into health inspections too. I worked at a DQ where they made food for the inspector and knew him for years. When they sent a random different person, nearly 20 violations.

Rancid scallop would absolutely stink the moment you saw it, how on earth no one noticed before they ate one is beyond me. Oh wait, its TV...
People can buy scallops (or any other food) and not eat it fast enough and it goes rancid in between the times they eat it, however because their sense of time is skewed, more time has passed than they realize and they think it is still "just bought it yesterday" when its been in there for weeks. Also as you notice in the clip, they are smokers, so their sense of smell is shot.
