  • An easy recipe on how to make sachima/saqima (沙琪玛). Also known as Chinese caramel squares.
    Ingredients:
    200g plain flour 200克普通面粉
    2 eggs 2只蛋
    90g sugar 90克糖
    75g syrup 75克麥芽糖
    1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2茶匙小蘇打
    1 tbsp cornflour 1湯匙粟米粉
    50ml water 50毫升水
    Oil for frying 油

    This is the fluffy type, I prefer the really old recipe, it's denser and chewier

      Maltose and syrup quite similar, not matter which one you use.

      你好,你可能壓得唔夠實,如果趁熱壓就會粘些.凍咗糖漿就會硬不再粘·

      Hi,Cornflour or Cornstarch is the same thing. Some people call cornflour, some people call cornstarch .

      Hi , it’s golden syrup, if maple syrup, you might add a bit more.

    can change syrup to honey?

      Hi, can do, you might put a bit more honey in, melt with sugar, make sure water all gone, they’ll stick together.

      可以,如果粉团太硬,你可加多少少水或牛奶(如果你对牛奶沒敏感)你喜歡那种味可以进去,如vanilla等.

      @@SaiMalaysianCooking 有沒有蛋无所謂,最主要是小蘇打和泡打粉令到面皮松化,煮的糖漿要起絲才能粘着.照着做就可以,喜欢椰丝或芝麻和干葡萄也可以放一点.你做很多的素菜也很好!
