Same here! It seems like a mission where there’s always a new route to be worked out. Even with maps as amazing as Sapienza, I feel like the optimal routes are quite similar, but the highly varied approaches you can take in Marrakesh always surprise me.
I wonder if they wrote this mission during the diplomatic incident regarding Wester Sahara between Sweden and Morocco. Inspired by the real world fact that there was a public uproar against Swedish influence in the country.
Fun fact about Marrakesh: Marrakesh has the biggest artifact smuggling ring in the world, and THE place to sell illegally obtained artwork and artifacts.
It has the same root as cancer. A painful bump, deformity or growth. Modern medicine settled on Cancer for refering to cancer specifically and Canker fell into decline. But anything abnormal and bumps that hurts or makes something unappetising in the case of food is a canker. It falls neatly in with boils, bunions, sores and pustules.
+Many A True Nerd So first of all, the place in this gameplay is called "Jamaa el Fna" (Look the pictures in Google), which is a square and a market place in Marrakesh, so it only shows a minority of Moroccans (The poor ones, those who only come to the square to sell their goods) and also the tourists that love to come to this place. Concerning the architecture, it's authentic, it look perfectly like "Jamaa el Fna". The atmosphere is the same too, music all over the places, tourists, merchants, food, etc). Concerning the dress, it's very varied, it all depend on the mentality and the education. A lot of Moroccans (Men) dress like in Europe, and in the other hand a lot dress traditionaly. It's the same as Moroccan girls, you can see a lot of them dress like in European countries, and others traditionaly. It's 50/50. Also Morocco is a Berber country, and not arab country.
This is such a pleasant surprise! I didn't realize the new episode was being released so soon. I haven't watched the video but I think it'll definitely lift my spirits after the day I've had...
Still feel Sapienza is better, this seems to be a bit boring ( unless How To Be A Badass comes ). Favourite kill is still sapienza`s witch doctor kill. Or the telescope sniper, was that silent if you have a silenced sniper rifle?
No Jon you misheard, "High ranking officer and all but I can't let you through here". Funny though, the other soldier in the background was being quite insolent to a high ranking officer.
The rooftop where you find the Headmasters Key has a ledge where you can climb around and get into the school and get an Elite Solider Disguise relatively easy
I just got this game the other day, i just finished this mission for the first time and got silent assassin (i dropped a toilet on the military dude and snapped the other guys neck on the massage table) but as i was escaping my internet cut out so i finished the mission offline which meant i didn't get the points, didn't get the challenges i did and didn't get any mastery. Why the hell do i need to be online to get those things?
new series on your hitman series: either shoot your way out after shooting the target. or body count: hide as many bodies as possible and still get mission complete without being spotted a lot
Jon if you go up to where the headmaster is you can go round the back and climb up on the ledge and slide down a pipe to get into the compound quickly and easy.
Oh my god... Agent 47 is basically the same color as the guard uniform... it's so blinding. I'm surprised all the guards don't see him and immediately know it's him.
My favourite kills: Paris - Pushing Dalia off the balcony and onto Novikov Sapienza - Plague Doctor Kill Marrakesh - Killing Zaydan as the prisoner Bangkok - Shooting Cross after playing the audio Colorado - Making Ezra blow himself up Hokkaido - Killing Erich With the robot arms in a brutal fashion
I don't mind the lack of glasses, because they really were easy-mode - just find the right glass, add rat poison, instant target isolated-in-bathroom-alone-with-convenient-wardrobe. And rat poison being absent is a good thing - it's rewarding players for bringing in the unlockable poisons, which up to this point, I didn't really bother with.
+Many A True Nerd Canker is a word. Kind of the ugly linguistic twin of cancer. Cankerous and Cancerous are pretty much the same except modern medicine latched on to cancer as a term and canker fell into disuse. Now it tends to be used for general nasty painful bumps.
There's an unmarked poison event. Nearby the original spawn point, there's a waiter sleeping/sitting on a chair (he's backed up against a bunch of rugs or a car, I forget). Turn on the radio to wake him up, and follow his route to find a platter of food that he'll deliver to the general. You can poison the food (before the waiter gets to the food) and he'll unknowingly deliver it to the general.
I kinda wish these games didn't have a minimap on screen or had the eagle vision type thing. And didn't tell you who see's through disguises, it would be cool if you just heard audio ques from the person like whispering "who's that" "i've never seen him before". It would make the game harder and more believable. But hey then it might be ridiculously too hard. But I think it would be kinda cool. I also miss the news reports from blood money, they were great. When you did accident kills and reading about them afterwards in the paper felt so good.
I really like the hitman stuff you do.....can you do more of this at the expense of things not related to fallout since a ton of that other stuff really kind of sucks.
Jon I think Paris is slightly better than sapenza. Sapenza is just basicly a badly guarded mansion with a lab, and the town itself serves very little purpose at all. Paris mean while, feels like most of the area is important. It is also more of a challenge and the fashion show is more inventive than anything in sapenza. But both are great
"canker" as in "canker sore". And "wanker" wouldn't work cuz these guys aren't British (but then again they probably wouldn't say "bankers are cankers" either, they'd say something that rhmyed in their native tongue.
Jon can you do a trailer kill run? Like how the targets were killed in the Hitman trailer that was revealed at E3? Dropping the stage on Novikov, killing this dude by a briefcase bomb, poisoning in Sapienza, etc
I'm beginning to think that the manipulative British guy might not have been talking about 47 in the opening montage, and was instead talking about Providence having been there since before 47 as an illuminati, whence The ICA is only an unknowing partner in a greater revenge plot...
I know it is rather soon to ask this. But will you make a "Story" Video again? I Really love those und it would make me Really happy if you would make another one depicting the Story of Paris. No pressure though, Love your vids regardless
Great vids Don't have a f*cling clue how you only have 210,000 Subs. You deserve loads more as you are a brilliant inspiration. Keep up the good vids -Ethan ☺
I didn't see what was so bizarre about that entrance. Don't understand why you thought it was so bizarre. ;) I lol'd when you came up with "bankers are wankers."
I find it fun how i absolutely despised Sapienza... I felt like it was way too big and a waste of space... I liked the mansion where its like one mansion and not an entire fucking city you can do stuff in. But oh well that's just me i suppose
Is there a way to complete this mission where you lure the Swede into the crowd, who promptly tear him apart/hand him over to the authorities, and then reveal Reza as a traitor to the Moroccan authorities?
So, out of interest, what actually happens if you take out that first target you hit, then go to the interview as the camera man? Does somebody go to fetch him for the interview and get alerted to the fact he's gone missing, or does it kind of break the game?
+Many A True Nerd It would be fun to do a 'Michael Bay' run. Not necessarily a kill everything but maximum explosions, mania and chaos (through which 47 walks calmly up to his target... boops them on the head and feeds them into a wood chipper). Still getting out unseen would be cool to.
Like the Basement Killing level in H2:SA--you could pull the fire alarm, steal a fire suit and axe (!!), run all the way through the level while everybody went nuts, axe the dude, sprint back out and still come out with a perfect score. Brilliant.
Canker is a word by the way. Its a word for some diseases that affect plants. Its kind of and old fashioned phrase, people tend to say someone is a "cancer" now instead.
at 8:40 ish when she speaks about confidential info on a roof she has to be speaking swedish otherwise she wouldn't do such a stupid thing. Which means agent 47 speaks swedish just like he speaks italian or at least understands it.
Can you lure people away?
No, but soda can.
I really think this sneaking around in full view should cause suspicion in npcs
Canker is basically another word for sore or disease, but yes, it still sounds ridiculous and may give some people Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy flashbacks
Is that what they were named after? Wow I just thought it was a funny word/name when I used to watch that show.
Oh god not the Canker sisters
+Gamin' Reasons you've never heard the word canker sore?
daniel wiles Not often enough for it to be apart of my regular vocabulary.
Karmas Camera Fuckin Canker sisters.
I want 47 to try and use a cupboard but find a guy already taking a nap in there.
Cornelius Carbo 47 isn't assassinating walmart employees bruh,
How bazaar.
Badum tss
Marrakesh came out today and you already have Silent Assassin. We are not worthy!
I am rather pleased to have been (very briefly) #39 in the world :D
+Many A True Nerd as expected you continue to amaze us with fantastic plays
+Many A True Nerd are you somewhat related to TheNerdCube?
+Atofu pretty sure there good friends but not related
+Atofu All British people are related. That's where the accent, blue blood and innate superiority comes from.
You should of stolen the general's outfit and become the ruler of Morocco yourself.
47 doesn't care for politics.
When I first played Marrakesh, it felt like a slog. Fast Forward a year or so later and it is one of my favorite missions.
Same here! It seems like a mission where there’s always a new route to be worked out. Even with maps as amazing as Sapienza, I feel like the optimal routes are quite similar, but the highly varied approaches you can take in Marrakesh always surprise me.
The cinematics at the end of the missions are so freakin' brilliant. Good lord, if only there was a Hitman movie....
There iscone, but from what i have heard: It sucks
Is one*
Violet i thought there were 2
13:53ish. I like the very temporary darkness when you enter the room and your eyes adjust.
Peter Uhlenberg That’s instinct
I wonder if they wrote this mission during the diplomatic incident regarding Wester Sahara between Sweden and Morocco. Inspired by the real world fact that there was a public uproar against Swedish influence in the country.
Fun fact about Marrakesh:
Marrakesh has the biggest artifact smuggling ring in the world, and THE place to sell illegally obtained artwork and artifacts.
Apparently a canker is a fungal disease which primarily affects apples, I looked this up out of curiosity.
interesting...
Very intresting...
sounds about right
Cankered can also mean ancient.
Marrakesh my city !
Great content as always my friend.
Now I'm curious - do you think it looks authentic, in terms of architecture, atmosphere, dress, etc?
+Many A True Nerd So first of all, the place in this gameplay is called "Jamaa el Fna" (Look the pictures in Google), which is a square and a market place in Marrakesh, so it only shows a minority of Moroccans (The poor ones, those who only come to the square to sell their goods) and also the tourists that love to come to this place. Also Morocco is a Berber country, and not arab country.
It looks authentic but people there speak french not english.
+Seyf Oz these ignorant us fucks think that Morocco looks like Iraq or Afghanistan
parts of it kinda do. Parts kind of look like California, too.
Or the telescope sniper, was that silent if you have a silenced sniper rifle?
sean vooi I’m very late but yes 😀
Even though it is counter-intuitive, will there ever be a Kill Everybody edition of Hitman?
He once tried it for one of the older ones.
I'll have to look..
+tekguru8 It was murde of crows on blood money
It was ALL of blood money iirc, Murder of Crows was the special.
+Arcadia Fell it was all accidents plus some other stuff so it was like a "no kill" run murder of crows was a kill everything one off special
Sapienza completion progress
66/99
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
No Jon you misheard, "High ranking officer and all but I can't let you through here". Funny though, the other soldier in the background was being quite insolent to a high ranking officer.

there's more people in this marketplace than every major hold in skyrim lol
I just got this game the other day, i just finished this mission for the first time and got silent assassin (i dropped a toilet on the military dude and snapped the other guys neck on the massage table) but as i was escaping my internet cut out so i finished the mission offline which meant i didn't get the points, didn't get the challenges i did and didn't get any mastery. new series on your hitman series: either shoot your way out after shooting the target. or body count: hide as many bodies as possible and still get mission complete without being spotted a lot
Funny thing Io does with Marrekesh is mention their headquarters twice in the briefing and in the actually town
I wonder if there are going to be missions in Finland? I mean, there were a couple of blips in Finland.
My favourite kills:
Paris - Pushing Dalia off the balcony and onto Novikov
Sapienza - Plague Doctor Kill
Marrakesh - Killing Zaydan as the prisoner
Bangkok - Shooting Cross after playing the audio
Colorado - Making Ezra blow himself up
Hokkaido - Killing Erich With the robot arms in a brutal fashion
I do believe a 'canker' is something similar to a cold soar. Might be wrong on that one, but don't be to quick to judge Jon!
the part when you called the unconscious guy "my good man" as you shoved him in a cupboard, had me in hysterics!! big fan of your channel Jon!
Jon should be the voice of an ebook
Seeing this video made me all *giddy* with excitement.
Same bro
What did that vending machine say? Mountain Jew? Danny would be pleased.
so we are all agreeing this is the best Hitman?
The full game hasn't even been released yet though.
The full game hasn't even been released yet though.
Anyone disappointed with this level? No real opportunities to poison people. And a mysterious absence of rat poison...
Also there is only really one cool way to kill each person. Sapienza spoiled me.

Actually there is a room/garage-like in town with rat poison on it. But that's the only one I've found..
Really enjoying this series, thanks. You are deffo my favourite right now!
2 best disguises in this mission would be the cameraman and the poster-maker guy.
I kinda wish these games didn't have a minimap on screen or had the eagle vision type thing. And didn't tell you who see's through disguises, it would be cool if you just heard audio ques from the person like whispering "who's that" "i've never seen him before". I also miss the news reports from blood money, they were great. When you did accident kills and reading about them afterwards in the paper felt so good.
i do agree with u jon sapienza was the best level in the hitman series next to a new life in blood money i am very happy with this game so far
You should really show the Hammer Time achievement from the ICA training. It is absolutely hilarious and easy achievement
I really like the hitman stuff you do.....can you do more of this at the expense of things not related to fallout since a ton of that other stuff really kind of sucks.
I think they were searching because you didn't hide the headmasters body, so his son may have noticed it.
I'm not going to buy the game for the while, but I'm excited to see new levels come out!
this game continues to amaze me
Jon I think Paris is slightly better than sapenza. Sapenza is just basicly a badly guarded mansion with a lab, and the town itself serves very little purpose at all. Paris mean while, feels like most of the area is important. It is also more of a challenge and the fashion show is more inventive than anything in sapenza. But both are great
Thanks for all the hitman stuff its great! really hope you are going to do another "Story in Marrakesh" video :)
"canker" as in "canker sore". And "wanker" wouldn't work cuz these guys aren't British (but then again they probably wouldn't say "bankers are cankers" either, they'd say something that rhmyed in their native tongue.
Canker-A small, shallow sore inside the mouth or at the base of the gums.
JON PLAY DISHONORED FOR PETE'S SAKE
Yes, I do think he'd enjoy that.
Yes?!
Grell Sutcliff What do you mean yes? You don't think so? Well, maybe you're right with the powers an' all. He's much more Hitman'y.
Jon can you do a trailer kill run? Like how the targets were killed in the Hitman trailer that was revealed at E3? Dropping the stage on Novikov, killing this dude by a briefcase bomb, poisoning in Sapienza, etc
Who else just googled 'canker'?
me, unless im wrong its some sort of mouth sore? but i agree with matn that wanker would be better xD
+silckenSoul Yeah it's a sore you get on your tongue.
It took Mercenaries 2 a whole game to do what this mission does in... Well, one mission
Don't you normally have a clean attempt at a new level before trying anything like Silent Assassin?
HE'S JUST THAT GOOD!
+Grell Sutcliff Jon good at something HAHAHAHAH
I'm beginning to think that the manipulative British guy might not have been talking about 47 in the opening montage, and was instead talking about Providence having been there since before 47 as an illuminati, whence The ICA is only an unknowing partner in a greater revenge plot...
I know it is rather soon to ask this. But will you make a "Story" Video again? I Really love those und it would make me Really happy if you would make another one depicting the Story of Paris. No pressure though, Love your vids regardless
This is some straight up Borne Identity music right here.
Would you be interested in playing Dishonored before the sequel comes out? It would be cool to see how you go about completing the levels.
i'm in marrakech right now, i saw a guy in that exact suit and i remembered this mission right away xD
Love this series Jon!
I like the Dr Pepper product placement
Great vids
Don't have a f*cling clue how you only have 210,000 Subs.
You deserve loads more as you are a brilliant inspiration.
Keep up the good vids
-Ethan
☺
This was good and all Jon, good job on silent assassin. but I expected you to assassinate some vampire counts.
Total war and hitman today! My 2 favorite!
Is that briefing lady Brianne of Tarth or whatever from Game of Thrones?
Is this map worth it? I liked sapienza and Paris so should I buy this too?
I didn't see what was so bizarre about that entrance. Don't understand why you thought it was so bizarre. ;)
I lol'd when you came up with "bankers are wankers."
Being a Swede, seeing the advertisement for "Hasses kaviar" made me burst out laughing :)
Do you have to have the season pass to get all the maps?
I love your hitman videos !
in my country interesting definitely playing this
Marrakech do exist, it is the 4th largest within the nation
also, Canker: "a destructive fungal disease of apple and other trees that results in damage to the bark."
also ulceration of the mouth and lips
.... I think what he meant was that the intern at the consultant had hash
Hi Jon how is your day going still the greatest channel on RUclips
I find it fun how i absolutely despised Sapienza... I felt like it was way too big and a waste of space... I liked the mansion where its like one mansion and not an entire fucking city you can do stuff in.
But oh well that's just me i suppose
why didn't you use the summer suit ?
"Military soldier" as opposed to the other kinds of soldier.
Well done sir
6:01 Jon, Ever come back and do the Fortune Teller challenges?
How do u do suit only on Marrakesh
Is there a way to complete this mission where you lure the Swede into the crowd, who promptly tear him apart/hand him over to the authorities, and then reveal Reza as a traitor to the Moroccan authorities?
Jon, do you plan on doing a hitman 2016-kill everything?
Honestly, it's strangely relaxing to watch Jon brutally assassinate people in this game.
Jon. I was curious if you had ever considered playing Dark Void?
New episode! swanky.
-sam
Cool video XD
p.s Hidden story like last time plz
Here's hoping for a dropped moose in a future episode. Death From Above!
So, out of interest, what actually happens if you take out that first target you hit, then go to the interview as the camera man? Does somebody go to fetch him for the interview and get alerted to the fact he's gone missing, or does it kind of break the game?
throw a coin to thebegger at the start
a canker is a type of sore in the mouth. generally a vitamin deficiency or a sign of a underlying dental problem.
am I the only one who noticed "exposed wire" while Jon was picking up soda cans at the beginning?
Yep, some easy soldier kills there, but a bit public really - much easier to grab a soldier on that rooftop.

Canker is a word by the way. Its a word for some diseases that affect plants. Its kind of and old fashioned phrase, people tend to say someone is a "cancer" now instead.
juzt156 it's also a pretty common term for a mouth sore in the US--definitely in popular usage. Apparently not as much elsewhere.
For some reason, this didn't show up in the PSN store for me. I saw the update but it didn't show up in the store still.
Yeah, I've seen them discusing them on Twitter - they had some issues with the PSN, but sounds like it should be all fixed now.
Right, thanks.
I just did the update and it's not showing up in the PSN store :/
at 8:40 ish when she speaks about confidential info on a roof she has to be speaking swedish otherwise she wouldn't do such a stupid thing. Which means agent 47 speaks swedish just like he speaks italian or at least understands it.
When is the next episode
They should release Hong Kong as a destination, maybe featuring district and bring back some Sleeping Dogs elements~
No 60fps?
Yeah, cankers are mouth ulcers, Jon. It's apparently more of a North American term though.
So, Is the "Headmaster" Disguise the "Vampire-Magician/Plague Doctor" disguise of the Marrakesh level?
No wacky enough
Lewis Rees yeah, but I couldn't see anything more wacky on this level.
+Darth Olimar I'm pretty sure there is a fortune teller in the map I'm just not sure where
That beggar's disguise was definitely super out there.
HITMAN: KILL EVERYTHING
(please!)
HOW DID U GET LEVEL 4! I BOTCHED THE WHOLE MISSION AND GOT 5
I feel like this doesn't look very 'Morocco' to me.
