My bad for all the pauses lol
You good bro. I see so many mad because you actually have a personality it's stupid as hell of them. Keep grinding. your golden. you not a robot like the rest of these reactors
Yes, you owe it to yourself to allow the flow to move you, take you on a trip.
As long as you back it up after a pause no harm! It's your channel so do you!
That's OK. I like your commentary.
Agreed...love the enthusiasm, but waaaaaay too many stops
Two of the finest male voices in modern music. Thanks for your reaction.
Older, taller, not even brothers , but brothers from another mother, just like us all!
Thanks for the honest reaction ❣️ Keep up the good work 👏
This is the most listened to song on radio and tv in the twentieth century .
They grew up in Orange county California. They met performing in a group called the Paramours. Then the two of them struck out on their own. They were trying to figure out a name, when a brother from the audience stood up and said, "You guys are RIGHTEOUSNESS! ". So they began calling themselves the Righteous Brothers! Bill Medley is the Baritone (Low voice), and Bobby Hatfield (Tenor up into outer space!) 😁. They had incredible talent!
Correction: the brother stood up & said “your righteous, brothers”.
The Righteous Brothers were considered "Blue Eyed Soul!" Glad to see you enjoyed them so much!!
People thought they were black and they were singing in a bar and a black military man told them you boys are Righteous brothers and they liked it so it stuck
One of my favorite songs from the righteous brothers just can't hate it old music all the way love your reactions 👏👏👏👏👏 keep up the reactions 😂😂😂😂
I've heard this song an unimaginable number of times. I'm not here to listen to the song, I'm here to see what you think about it. Keep doing what you're doing!
Have you ever been in that situation where you’re listening to a song and someone keeps pressing pause? You can feel your blood pressure rising, a twitch starting to develop in your face, rising levels of anger, etc.... Just me? Ok then.....
youtube is notorious for flagging videos for copyright issues and will take them down. This is why they have to stop and start.
i know they have to pause but I'm with you, my blood started to boil and my eye was starting to twitch... 🥴
It ruins the flow of the song.
Actually, Bobby was a little over a month older than Bill. Bobby was born August 10th of 1940 and Bill was born September 19th of 1940. Their music was called blue eyed soul. They were both amazingly talented. This was in the days before auto tune and studio tricks, they sounded every bit as good live as they did on their records. Sadly we lost Bobby in November of 2003. That beautiful smooth voice was silenced forever. RIP Bobby Hatfield. ❤
I was with you until you said "without studio tricks". Their recordings were produced by Phil Spector, who invented the "Wall of Sound". This distinctive technique was used on all Righteous Brothers & girl group records he produced. Well, every record Phil Spector produced.
the good news is Bobby left us many recordings and some videos so we can continue listening and watching and falling in love all over again (as if we ever stopped)
You just heard pure raw talent!
They are definitely "Timeless"!!
Bill and Bobby were the best, both had such vocal talent. They could get down too!!!!!!!
They are over the top!!!!
its nice to know I was born 2 years after "a long time ago!"
I love your reaction
This is definitely playlist material right here. A timeless classic
Don't stop and start so much. Let the lyrics flow, enjoy the vocals.
youtube is notorious for flagging videos for copyright issues and will take them down. This is why they have to stop and start.
@@TheGoldbaxter Yes, but 3 stops is more than sufficient to prevent this.
This is what's called blue eyed soul. You may have heard the song in the movie top gun. Their song unchained melody Was in the movie ghost. The family lore says that I was conceived While my parents listened to unchained melody. TMI I know but you don't know me and nobody else does. They are not actually brothers. They were performing for some soldiers and when they got done an African American soldier went up to them and said that was righteous brothers and that's how they got their name
This song was played more times than any other song in American Radio history. No other song has surpassed it. They were inducted into the ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME in 2003.They were also known as The Blue Eyed Soul Bros because they sang from their hearts and souls every performance ♥️. Take a listen to Summertime by just Bobby Hatfield singing.Thry are both the same age early twenties.Listen to BROWN EYED WOMAN by Bill Melody singing it.(actually it was written for him) you'll hear Soul alright.
I was 11 in 1964 and carried a transistor radio with me every time I went anywhere so I could listen - drove my parents bonkers!!
They were both 25 when this was made and they are not related. Thats just the name of their group.
They are not related. They got their name when they were playing at a military base and some African-American Marines heard them and shouted out "man, you sound righteous, brother!" The name stuck. This song was THE most played song on American radio and television in the 20th century. Yes, more airplays than any Beatles song, any Elvis song, any Motown song. If you liked this song, check out Soul and Inspiration; it was written as a follow-up to the success of this song and peaked for three straight weeks at #1 in the US in 1966. Here is the link to react to: ruclips.net/video/qpwqSQKfm-E/видео.html
Best info, ever... Good job. Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley
@@chefg_murder1191 This is in black and white film because it was on TV and lifted from there. The producer was Phil Spector with the 'surround sound' technique he developed. No one knew what a bad guy he was then. (aka monster) We had color movies back then because I saw quite a few, Elvis, James Bond, Pink Panther etc. at age 13-14 I think.
@@chefg_murder1191 Was it Bill Medley and his daughter that sung the theme song from 'Dirty Dancing' the song "I had the time of my life"?
@@paulanull8731 The woman singing with Bill was Jennifer Warnes.
@@christopherfranklin1881 K'then, daughter.
Singing talent at its highest level-amazing!!!
You need to let the song finish, man!
Bobby and Bill was the same age.Real talent for making a sad song great 😀.
It was called, “blue-eyed soul”!!
One of my favorite songs. Fun fact: Bill Medley the taller of the two is one month younger than Bobby Hatfield. Most people think Bill is the older 'brother' but he's not. Bobby is older by one month.
The taller man with low voice is Bill Medely. He was born in Santa Ana, CA. Bobby Hatfield was born in Beaver Dam WI but his family moved to Anaheim CA when he was 4 years old. They met in college at Long Beach State.
I heard this song the movie Top Gun 1986.Bar scene with Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis.
This was most listened to song in 20th century. California black marines saw them sing and said you brothers are Righteous. Not related. Bill medley talk guy is one month younger than Bobby Hatfield. Unchained Melody, Bobby does solo. Huge reaction video. Live 1965.
This is when music was actually music, no auto tune.... just raw talent..
They're not brothers biologically. They were both born in 1940. Bobby (the shorter blond one) was born in August and Bill (the taller dark-haired one) in September. Sadly, Bobby passed away in 2003. Bill is still alive and will turn 80 soon. Their voices complemented each other perfectly. Check out "Unchained Melody" (it's a solo by Bobby) and "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration."
I just did a reaction to it. You should check it out. Amazing backstory. thanks.
Try and let the song flow more without stopping and starting so much. Like your enthusiasm.
Lol I try but youtube will copyright it. Thanks tho
@@hazebruv I feel you, bro! And you down on the RUclips angle. But since another subscriber brought it up, I kept count. You paused it nine (9) times. No hate, just feedback! I think if you will track most music that is reacted on is averaging about 3 times with they take a "Pause of the Cause!" But overall I loved the vibe you were flowing with....
Thanks for the kind words. I uploaded a new video and was wondering if you could give me feedback. I love to hear feedback.
@@hazebruv My man! You are indeed one of a kind! Do you know how many people would be transparent enough to solicitate feedback (feedback is not criticism, by the way)? So you also can probably guess that you gained a new subs here by taking that risk! Your channel is going to grow by leaps and bounds by such a small act such as this! I'll surely look for the vid! Peace! (BTW I was given this nickname by playing on an all black high school basketball team back in the 70s. I was the only white guy and they said that I just added a little cream to the coffee!)
If you don’t want all the breaks then go watch the original video and let my man react.
A young black man heard them in a bar, he came up to them afterward and said, " Man, you're righteous, brothers" and they kept the name as well as inventing "Blue Eyed Soul". They are Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley, not related.
They are not really brothers, but they ARE Righteous! Check out "Unchained Melody".
I just uploaded it. Thanks for giving me the idea. Got any more?
@@hazebruv Awesome!
@@hazebruv I'd love to see you react to:
"Creep - Vintage Postmodern Jukebox Radiohead Cover ft. Haley Reinhart".
She KILLS it.
I had a huge problem with you stoping and starting the video, why not just relax and listen too it!!!!
The year I was born,,, this is an amazing song 🌷✌🌷
I graduated from high school when this came out, it is known as Blue Eye Soul
I like it when you or any other reactors talk during the song(preferably pausing it so you don't talk through any of the music) because the reaction can never be more genuine than at the moment it's being felt, rather than commenting after the song is over.
Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield ... the Righteous Brothers!
This song always makes me think of Top gun
I,m white and when I heard Chadwick died I cried. He was so regal. Watched 2 other movies he was in besides the Black Panther.
They were raised in Santa Ana California. Influenced by black artists of the 50's. Started in group called The Paramours. Many people both black and white thought they were black til they saw them. (No pictures on 45rpm records. ) Regular performers on 60's teen TV show Shindig. If you want to see a different aspect of them, look up Shindig Nighttime Is the Right Time on RUclips. Real soul pounder. Lots more to enjoy.
Great reaction HB. Not to bad for a couple of 25 year olds, which is an amazing thing to ponder! Thanks for posting this terrific video. I really enjoyed it. RNB
Thanks man. I will keep it going.
Keep up the fine work HB. Soul And Inspiration by the Righteous Bros is a great song too. Also, The Carpenters Rainy Days And Mondays and Superstar are awesome songs I believe you would appreciate. for their old school vibe. . Karen Carpenter, in my view, is the greatest female singer of all time. I'm 61 and have heard 'em all, Enjoy the ride my friend, RNB
They got the name righteous brothers from Black marines when they performed at their NCO club. They performed so will they said they were righteous brothers
Phil Spector produced the Righteous Brothers for a while. The instrumentals you hear is the "wall of sound" that Spector developed. Look it up.
They aren’t related. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. Best duo ever.
Bobby is older than Bill by 2 months. They were born in 1940. Have known each other since school & are from California.
A lot drawers got dropped when this song was playing in the background.
HazeBruv, here's another Righteous Brothers' song for you... I think you'll like it a lot. It shows just how versatile they were... From 'Blue Eyed Soul' to 'Down and Raunchy', 'Gut Wrenching' Blues... It's titled 'I just Wanna Make Love To You', Enjoy! : ruclips.net/video/TWkS1ifRuB4/видео.html
welcome to blue eyed soul
Thanks. Now I'm a fan for life. lol
Heed all of the advice below, it's given with love, respect and experience. ✌💛
Sounds like a trio!
It doesn't matter which one is older they are not Brothers they're just brothers as far as music and singing are concerned
Their both from Anaheim, Ca, and they met when they were in collage!
Best song ever. By the way, am I to assume that you are about to lie every time you don't say, "I ain't gonna lie?" Try their song "Soul and Inspiration" next.
Lol I should put "I ain't gonne lie" huh? But I'm going to check it out.
This was baby-making music!!
They were both born in 1940...so were both 24 when they did this song.
This guy loves to hear himself.
The Lead Singer can have a go at me anytime! GORGEOUS!
The Righteous Brothers 'Bill Medley Baritone and Bobby Hatfield Tenor are from Anaheim California.
@HazeBruv:
I enjoy your excitement over this song...Listen to Little Anthony & The Imperials in "Hurt So Bad," that group looks sharp!
Some useful info on auto tuning is if it was recorded before the mid 90's it is before the tech was invented as that was when the retired oil engineer invented it as a way to get clean notes in a home studio without spending tons on sound isolation. First major song to take advantage of it was Cher's Believe in 98 as the way to get the vocal distortion as they had already tried normal distortion effects.
The simpsions joke it was Nasa spending but the truth is it was simply a retired guy that used the same ideas to clean up seismograph data to get a clear image of what is going on under ground as a way to clear up sound recordings to get a clean recording.
amazing story.
Real man!
Most played son of the century.
Most pauses of century ///
Ok, now the viewers are guiding you to a good place as a reactor. Accepting, looking for feedback is rare for reactors. I see you're engaging more with likes and comments to your audience. No other reactor that l follow does this like you Haze. Super important to me anyways. Could get difficult with 100k subs though and a thousand comments.
The great duo of all time and this song was the most played song of the 20th Century. They’re not brothers. They each had a solo career as well. Listen to Unchained Melody the live version from 65 with Bobby Hatfield doing the solo. From what I hear the hottest song on RUclips. Also Soul and Inspiration, Rock and Roll Heaven. You will see what I mean. Thanks
They have made me a fan for life.
I'm glad that you liked this song. I was 10 years old when it was released, and I feel like I'm sharing a treasure from my past when I see someone reacting to it. All of the instruments you hear is from the producer, Phil Spector, and his technique "The Wall Of Sound". Google it. You will be amazed at what he did.
Thire Not Brothers. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. Orange County California
Good ole blue eyed soul.Give a listen to Humble Pie,Black Coffee
💘 love 💘
There from California
They aren't REAL BROTHERS. JUST FRIENDS
Please be sure the songs are over before ending your reaction. I’ve noticed you tend to cut off songs...keep trying!
They have a amazing voice. fr
They're not even brothers. They took their name from mostly black audiences, one of which said, "That's righteous, brother!" True story.
Bro your reactions are amzing.
Check out " unchained Melody". They are not related Bill Melody ( low voice), and Bobby Hatfield ( high voice).
Try Tom Jones: I'm never going to fall in love again
This is one of the biggest songs ever!
I'm telling you, if u put a beard and hat on the one guy, he'd be Abraham Lincoln. You know I'm right.
Blue-eyed Soul
Amazing brother.
I tried so hard to listen to you reaction to the song and the Righteous Brothers but your constant stop and go and constant chatter really got on my nerves. I wish you the BEST. and thousands of subscribers. 😎😎😎😎😎

@@hazebruv I still love you 😍!!! I DO understand and accept when a reactor has to stop here and there because of copyright issues. But, it was just a little much. Thank you for your gracious reply and I will be your devoted follower. 😍❤️😍🥰❤️🤗
youtube is notorious for flagging videos for copyright issues and will take them down. This is why they have to stop and start.
Nope, they aren’t twins! They aren’t even brothers!
It was called Blue Eyed Soul.
This was miles away from like, Pat Boone trying to do Little Richard songs, light years away. Wait, you never did a Little Richard reaction, right? He died just this year, in May. If you never heard of Little Richard, it's time you learned. He influenced so many people, including the Beatles. I would start with "Lucille".
Listen to the music!!!
I hope I don't bust the bubble most people have, they aren't brothers. How they got there name, one was they was playing at a venue and back stage some after hearing them on stage said, That's Righteous, and said the righteous brothers. It stuck.
the Righteous Brothers, originally came from Africa just like all humans did.
🔥
Not brothers. The guy on the left was one month older. The guy on the right is still alive, turns 80 this month.
Great info
☮️💙
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Philly
Actually, they aren't really brothers. The deeper voiced one is older.
See knight nurse's comment above. The higher tenor voiced Bobby is actually older then the deeper baritone voiced Bill but just by a month. They were both 24 yrs old in this b/w 1964 video and also in the 1965 video of them where Bobby also gets to sing "Unchained Melody" solo on the Andy Williams TV show. Color came to TV in 1965.
PLEASE try (For the love of you) By the Isley Brothers AMAZING
