@@daejoons1012 No matter how we view Yuan's victories, they are impressive. Wang Manyu could have done better against Yuan's serves. But I think Yuan's short strokes were the killers against Wang.
Jean-Christophe Cerou, Do we have that Yuan/Ito match on youtube? Yuan has a similar game to Ito. She engages the ball at the rising phase. Deadly but requires very good timing. Happy for Yuan.
Yuan can read all of Wang's serves and with that great wrist action, place it into the corners. Wang doesn't get a chance to get her offensive game going.
How old is this lady, Yuan Jia Nan? Wang Manyu is one of the unbeatable Chinese players. To get to the 5th game of the match against Wang is impressive but she was leading by ??? 10-6 and could have close the match before it got to deuce. Congrats to Yuan!
She is 37. Came to France at age of 18. Current Number 2 in France behind Hana MATELOVA (not french national), 2nd french national is Prithika PAVADE (Number 10).

The short pip does it again. Seems like short pips stuns inverted players when they are not getting huge ball rotation, back to the drawing board of old school. Ding Ning must be shaking her head and thinking, I remember when that happened to me.
I'm a new table tennis and the couple of videos I had seen of Yuan I said she carries herself in a cool and elegant way. I don't know if she's always been this way or something that came with age. Good for her !

Even athletes don't function that well with Covid! If I was a top class athlete and some selfish clown with symptoms cost me, I wouldn't be a happy bunny. Fortunately coaches aren't selfish clowns.

To be fair. Yuan lost to 2 Slovakian players that were far weaker than Ito or Wang. She has moments of brilliance, but they're not consistent :/
