    Hola Nicholas :) Me encantó tu video, muy informativo. Hace poco me contacté con mí RC más cercano y voy a ir a mí primera reunión, y como en una semana a la primera de aspirantes. Las carpetas con todos los papeles que piden se entregan de 20 a 26 de Octubre. Crees que llegaré con eso? O es muy largo? Importa si no sé hablar muy bien inglés? Yo diría que tengo un A2... Muy basico, pero suficiente para no morir en algún país angloparlante.
    Nada más. Muchas gracias :))

    • @nickathari3340

      If you're a sophmore applying, and you'll be going for your junior year, it depends on your school if you can skip junior year and come back into senior year. I graduated a year early (as a junior) so my "senior year" was my exchange, however I already had my diploma and was a graduated student, so it ended up being more like a gap year. :) I hope this helped!

    So, if you go to a country, to a family, is it necessary that your family has to become a host family too?? (Like if your the exchange student)

    • @onlypain.4505
      @onlypain.4505 4 года назад +3

      It depends on the club, but most of the time no. Your family is not required to become a host family if you go on exchange, it's optional.

    • @sup4774
      @sup4774 4 года назад

      Only time your family has to host someone is if you do short term exchange in which you go for 6 months then come back with someone form that country and they stay with you for 6 months

    • @onlypain.4505

    Can you do this with freinds

    • @nickathari3340
      @nickathari3340  4 года назад +3

      Do you mean can multiple people do an exchange? Like can two of the same people go to one city in another country together? It's very unlikely as the point of the program is to get you out of your comfort zone and make new friends. There may be other programs that do that, but they would probably be more like vacations.

    • @nickathari3340
      @nickathari3340  4 года назад

      It depends on the country and club, you'll have to ask your club ( which you can do before getting into the process, just call and ask them what they do ), most clubs in the USA don't require you to host anyone.

    • @nickathari3340
      @nickathari3340  4 года назад +1

      Yes, all the Rotarians will help you. My Visa was especially hard because I had to do an in person "interview" ( it was really like the DMV ) in NYC so that wasn't fun. For me, it was less Rotary that helped me and more the travel agency that worked with my district.

    Are you in exchange right now? I want to know the average price.

    • @nickathari3340
      @nickathari3340  5 лет назад +5

      Yes I am, it was 5000$ to my Rotary club, and we had to pay for the Visa which was 56$. Then you need around 400$ to give to your club in the other country as a Security deposit in case anything goes wrong (ie. Glasses breaking, prescription running out) and if nothing goes wrong you get the money back at the end of the year. I didn't have to buy the plane ticket or anything, this is all I had to pay.
