I bought the mini OBD tool in the bypass cable and I can't get this thing to do anything. It doesn't even want to communicate when the bypass cable is in, it doesn't even allow me the option to choose bypass cable like it shows in this video. ???

@@UHSHardware No idea. I think we have 1 Xhorse programmer but don't really use it. Our workhorses are Autels and Smart Pro's. Point is unless you are bypassing the input output code you aren't making these keys/fobs without membership to NASTF. This is why I was asking if this system figured a bypass. I think the charge for the input code is $50 or close to it. The vehicle provides an output code that's required to get the input code. It's on the newer ones. I don't know every model but when it happens we have to get the input from NASTF. We belong to NASTF anyway so credentialing isn't an issue. If this was able to bypass paying for the code it might be worth us buying this as it will pay for itself. We run 80-150 auto calls per week. We are local to you also. North Broward S. Palm Beach

Ok. so as I understand it. the NASTF credentials are more or less necessary no matter what just to ensure you can do all newer models of vehicles as the manufacturers have set up processes that require access to their official back-end server sites to get the codes necessary to perform the programming for all newer vehicles. The Manufacturer is selling the programming codes. not NASTF. NASTF is just tracking your connection and limiting the ability of bad actors to access the servers without proof. the fee would need to be added to the price of the key as this fee is now a standard part of the ability to access the vehicle computer. all of these complications and changes are supposed to be more secure and helpful to the industry from all angles. what do you think?

Does it have to be an Xhorse key? If using a Toyota key can it be a used key or does it still have to be brand new?
Thank you for your question! Does not have to be an xhorse key. once the xhorse keys are generated, they are essentially (to the programmer) no different than an OEM or third-party remote. all of which are programmable using the devices and this cable.
